Not as bad as I thought

By Jeff , Bridgeport, CT

I saw Clear TV Antenna at K-Mart. I just bought this as a stab in the dark. Worst case scenario? I would return it to K-Mart for a refund. But I did not have any problems with it. I got 24 channels, which is not bad at all. I would recommend buying it at a department store because if something doesn't work, then you can return it for a refund no problem.

No need for Pay TV

By Paul Pera , Kenmore, NY

Easy mounting for window location. Great reception for channels broadcast from our Canadian neighbors to the north. HOWEVER, I do believe the commercial if very misleading to imply that you will receive "hundreds" of free channels. The original price is too steep to justify purchasing at that price, however I am very pleased with the performance for the online price of 14.95 with free shipping. I'm sure the price will come down even further. Great to use with something like Netflix.

Took a chance & got lucky

By Rich ,

Didn't know its for HD TV's only, luckily I had a converter, hooked it up, scanned all channels & got 38; all the locals except ABC; a lot are junk channels, but some that might hold my interest for a short while. I sent back 1 $5 per month cable box & soon it'll be FREE. Guess it depends on where you live.

Beats paying for cable!

By BC , Tarboro, NC (Rural)

Installed 2 for a friend that lives in a pretty darn rural area and could no longer afford cable. Easy to install and depending on the weather, she can get between 25 and 40 channels. Of course some channels share the same programming and some fade in and out but as long as her mother can get her "shows" Wheel of Fortune and Price is Right - she's happy! I installed this last year and they are still working just fine!

I Got Rid of the ugly, big rabbit ears

By A girl from Carbondale , Carbondale, PA

Hi everyone. Please give this product a break, for the money, it is worth it, and if you get it in a store you can always bring it back if it doesn't work for you. I was lucky for once in my life with this product.

Here is how it worked for me: It gave me a clearer picture, and I got rid of the ugly, big rabbit ears. With the ears when I wanted to look at Chan 22 I couldn't get Chan 28. It was either OR and I had to get up and change the dial. I love to channel surf and I was frustrated with that before. I could never get all my channels together. Well I can now thanks to Clear TV!

I thought I would get some extra channels but didn't, so you can't have everything, I am happy with what I have which is 16 local channels and don't need any cable company trying to sell me anything. I haven't had cable in 30 years.

Works like a charm

By Chester B. , Sterling, Virginia

I recently bought the Clear TV antenna hooked it up and got 29 channels. I moved to another side of the room and picked up an additional 3 channels. Now, when it rains some channels do go away but I had the same problem with Dish Network sometimes. I think some people do not realize that this type of antenna only works with HDTVs that have a built in ATSC. Also you have to remember this product was made in China.

Clear TV vs Mohu Leaf

By lflechner , Evansville, IN

The clear TV antenna that two of my friends have works just as good as my Mohu leaf antenna. They both bring in about 20 channels, depending on the weather. It's well worth the money but the Mohu leaf is better made and looks nicer also. It was $39 with no shipping or handling charges. And now we all save a great deal of money by getting rid of expensive cable.

Not bad for a rural area

By Luke , Rural Kansas

I live out in Rural Kansas. I had been using a rabbit ears and I got like 25 local channels but only 2 of them were worth watching as the rest had bad reception. I tried Clear TV knowing that it wasn't going to give cable channels. Picked up the same 25 channels plus a few extra. Definitely clear picture and reception. Basically this product merely improved my reception. Still have all the same channels as before but now I can actually watch them.

Clear TV - works here!

By Jerri , Somerset, PA

We have purchased 3 different indoor antennas. We got 3 channels but only when the wind wasn't blowing. If there was any wind at all they would just scrabble and we were unable to even watch the news. Bought the Clear TV antenna at Walmart for $14.88. Plugged it in and we can now get 4 channels without being worried about the wind and weather. I did not expect to get more channels than that because of our location but the channels we DO get are crystal clear. Without high expectations for something too good to be true we are extremely pleased.

I am fairly impressed

By David Kulikowski , Las Vegas, NV

I live in a rural area west of Las Vegas and installed the Clear TV digital antenna on the wall, like a picture frame next to my digital TV. I canceled my cable. It works great in my case and to my surprise I not only received the major networks but also the ones I mostly watched on my paid cable such as CW and MeTV, all in HD. Also, I received many stations that cable did not broadcast such as 24 hour music video and classic movie channels. In all, I get a variety of 45 channels. I suggest you check out a list of digital stations in you're area to see what's available.

All I pay for now is high speed internet in order to use my Netflix and Xbox live movies to complement my free TV channels. After letting my friends borrow my extra Clear TV digital antenna, they cut the cord also. I actually have channels I watch for free instead of paying for many stations I never watched anyway. Be patient and setup the antenna properly or have a knowledgeable friend help.

Works for me.

By Heather , CT

I bust bought this antenna. I don't have cable, so I would have been happy with 10 channels. After fiddling around to find the best spot on the wall, I saw I get 31 channels. To all of you bad mouthing this product, did you try placing the antenna throughout different areas of your wall?
