Clear TV is just trying to sell you cheap crap to make a buck

By Bryan , Illinois

This is a total scam, the best way to receive HDTV over the air is to have an external antenna, even an older one works, I have a 1980's Channel Master with rotor box and a small amplifier and I receive all Chicago and Milwaukee over the air channels, do not buy cheap indoor antenna's. They are not worth it, and if you do buy local from Walmart or the local hardware store, or for the online people, amazon had plenty outdoor and indoor. And if you still have your old antenna on the house, all you may need is to upgrade the cabling to Quad shielded Coax.

Scam, they'll take your money

By Cris Burlew , St. Petersburg, Florida

My roommate ordered one on expedited service for us on January 2nd and called today January 19 and was told today that our cc didn't go thru. That was totally incorrect, as it came out of our account immediately. When ordering online, you get a confirmation number when your cc goes thru. If your card declines, you get a message stating "your order could not be processed at this time". Do they think we are really that stupid? They take our money and don't ship the product. When we threatened to go to contact the attorney general's office, we got thru to a supervisor fast who gave us the same response. So,we are contacting the AG's office about this, as we are out over $65.

No Channels

By Joy Hanket , Moundsville, West Virginia

I saw this on TV and thought it would be cool. So I brought it and got the free one by paying the extra shipping and handling fees. But when I tried to search for channels, I had none. So I tried three different spots and still nothing. The booklet says that if you live more than 25-30 miles away from a broadcast antenna it may not work. Well I live 10 miles from a broadcast antenna. So I won't tell anyone about this. I hate this and am returning this product and getting my money back!

Unhappy with product and service..

By Susan M. Lawson , Lancaster, MA

Tried 2 of these, and both were unusable. Applied for RETURN, and after agreeing to take a 50% cut, I still did not receive refund. Stay away.

This is a total scam!

By Anthony Russell , Westminster Station, VT

I bought three of these antennas from clear TV and their claims that you can get high-definition TV from anywhere is WRONG! I tried one on two different televisions of mine and not only did it not work as far as the amount of channels I received, but none at all! I know the difference from cable and air waves and I tried it on both of my TV sets by setting each channel individually and got nothing on UHF or VHF. So don't loose money as this is a total scam! Thank you.

Charged for two

By Jose , Los Angeles, CA

I am very unhappy with the customer service. I called trying to speak with someone about them charging me over $75. This was a false advertisement! Two for the price of one? Well that's a lie! No one was able to help nor could they find my order account. I was transferred to speak to a manager. Well I waited and then they hung up!

Cheap hunk of plastic

By Anonymous , Largo, FL

When I first got the Clear TV antenna, I had no shipping hassle. However, it received no channels. When I fiddled with the power plug, I found out that it takes off the warning and actually displays static. My TV is from 2012 so I took it apart to try to see what was wrong. It was a big box with a tiny little chip with a blow capacitor in it. I think it's cheap Chinese sobering material and one cable for the so-called antenna. That was a lie because there's no antenna, just IR sensors and flashing lights.

It doesn't work. By the time I sent it back it cost me 120.00. Don't buy this, it's no good and they rip you off.

Unable to get reception, poor customer service, charging return shipping.

By Claudia DeBacker, Warren, MI, Verified Reviewer

Upon contacting Clear TV customer service regarding the poor reception I had on both TVs using their Clear TV Antenna, they provided no support. Every channel was distorted (pixel pictures) on both TVs. When talking with customer service no one would help. They only said “Sorry we can not help you”. This a rip off. If you are looking for a reputably company do not contact them, they will let you down and holding the bag.

This thing is a scam!

By Paz Ramos, California, Verified Reviewer

So I bought this item for my mom's TV. They tell you to buy two for $20. So I do. I figured I can always return it. Yes you can return it but you are out $16! That's the price of one of the antennas.

I told them it was highway robbery! They don't care. Don't buy them. Save your money.

Cheap Product With Disappointing Results

By Richard Roundtree, Colorado, Verified Reviewer

I recently purchased the buy one get one free Clear TV deal only to find that neither worked on my TV's. The picture, if it comes in, is distorted to the point you can't watch the program. I have reviewed other customer's complaints about the return shipping cost, that certainly does seem to be a scam as it doesn't cost that much to ship two lightweight antennae in one box. Add to the cost of returning the product the time wasted in wrapping or putting in a box, taking it to the post office, standing in line and then keeping your fingers crossed to see if you do get a refund. I am going to file a BBB complaint that, while not helping the situation directly, may force the company to sell a real product one day.
