The Yugo of Antennas

By Anonymous , Raleigh, NC

It kid of worked. I am a hobbyist, and I try out different antennas. Don't mess with this. Go to www.gomohu.com and get their antenna. I personal think it's the best small antenna out there and USA made.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

It is most definitely cheaper than DirecTV

By Jim , Waco, TX

I purchased one and ordered one free with extra shipping and handling. Both arrived in the same box marked lightweight from US mail. My next question is how much do these companies earn on these excessive shipping charges? It is better for me to throw this away than to return on my dime. What a rip off!

Dissatisfied with the service

By Michelle Allred , Amarillo, TX

I feel that when you order a product, they take money off your card and then say that they don't take the money off until it is shipped and then want more money. That's not the way it suppose to be. And then they don't put the money back on your card that they took off. I recommend not to get this product unless you want a big run around with them. I would give them no stars if I could.

Point Number #3

By TJ ,

I won't defend or attack Clear TV, it works decently enough compared to other antennas of its kind, or to what a handy person can build with a YouTube video. (I've used both alone and in Tandem and while Clear TV looks better I actually give the edge to a YouTube special).

But I have to call BS on Our Reviewer and Point Number three:

An ATSC TUNER is NOT a built in antenna. Yes all TVs after 2007/08 needed an ATSC Tuner due to the 2009 Digital conversion but that TUNER is not a substitute for an antenna. Unless your Home Physically falls under the shadow of a Broadcast Tower, you need something attached to the CoAx Jack on your TV, otherwise why haven't they phased out the CoAx Jack on TVs in the last 8 years.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Would't recommend.

By Jose Ramirez , Placerville, CA

We initially bought one Clear TV Antenna at the local Wal-mart. My mother was intrigued by the commercial. She bought it, we programmed it in the living room, and NOTHING happened. We live in a two story house. She plugged it into the TV in her room on the second floor and she can now view about 4 to 6 channels. However, at certain times of the day you cannot watch one of those channels without it cutting out. She purchased another one for my aunt but never gave it to her so I plugged it into my TV. My room faces the opposite way that her's does. It shows about three channels but never clear. The signal comes and goes. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone.

You Can't Believe Everthing You See On TV

By Stephanie , Rochester, MI

As advertised, this product is not what I thought it would be. I recently bought this at Walgreens for $14.95 because the TV in my bedroom doesn't have cable. I really thought I would be able to get "100 channels" or at least more channels than I can get from my old antennae. So much for having all these great HD channels.

Every channel that I could get I already had.

Don't Bother

By Anonymous , Midwest

Having heard of this product by word of mouth, I decided to order it knowing the fact that it will not give me any premium channels other than a few "basic" channels. I purchased the product on January 3rd of 2015. I checked the status of delivery a week later and through FEDEX. It stated the estimated delivery date was for the 15th of January.

I proceeded to call customer service (which by the way, if you can not stand a heavy accent I recommend finding someone with a high amount of patience and stupidity tolerance to call) and was told that it "should arrive within 4 days". I asked if in the event that it does not, will I receive a full refund and the best they offered me on a $35.93 order was just $7.50. Then I proceeded to state that "They could not offer any more than that." I patiently waited, and the 19th rolled on by. I then checked the shipping status and my package had fallen off the grid all together and the estimated delivery date disappeared. Further into the week, it was not until the 27th that I received my package.

Once received, I tested the product out. I set up the entire system accordingly with the instruction manual provided. In the manual it even stated that you will not receive any more channels than just basic cable. However, on the ad & before you order by phone, it states you will receive thousands of new channels depending on your location.

I called this morning on January 29th, 2015 and received the worst service by phone ever. I was connected to another representative with a Jamaican accent and received poor assistance. She told me that I would not be able to get my shipping back, which I paid nearly $16.00 for and I would have to pay to return the product. I asked to speak with a manager and I was placed on hold. When someone finally answered, it sounded like the EXACT person that helped me before I was transferred. She tried to sound "native" to the American English language. She failed by the way. And once I started asking more and more questions, she lost control and began to sound like the lady that was supposed to transfer me to the "manager". At least this time the second person told me that I would be issued an RMA#, which by the way you shouldn't waste your time calling because you will rip your hair out. She also informed me that she can email me a return label and if I brought the package back to the post office (NOT FEDEX) I would not need to pay for shipping. I then asked why the previous person was not on the same page, she repeated her default statement for "being able to send the return label through email" and avoided all questions I had. She also blamed me for my location.

Point of this is that Clear TV has found a country with much poverty, willing to take any job possible to provide economic stability and being used by a wealthier company to provide cheap labor. And with cheap labor you get cheap service.

  2. Employee no. 2 - Laquish (B02)

Good Luck.

Order not filled

By Shalis , Springfield, MO

I placed my order on 11/12/2013 and every time I checked on my order, it stated "waiting for approval." So I called on the 5th of December and gave them my other card, thinking that something was wrong with that one they stated would be billed on the 10th, which it was not. On the 11th, I called again and was told me they would charge it the next day. I asked if the Clear TV antenna unit would be here in time for Christmas and they assured me that It would be. However, it's now the 14th and they still have not charged me, so I'm canceling my order, if they don't hang up on me like they have done in the past. Don't waste your time trying to order.

Waste of my money

By Antwoine , Rochester, NY

I went to the mall and they had the As Seen on TV store. I got the Clear TV antenna. It was 24.99 in this store. Came home, hooked it up and didn't get one channel. I then hooked it up upstairs and I didn't get one channel. So I put it back in the box, took it back to the store, only to get store credit. What junk this is, don't waste your money please.

Nothing special

By Shelli Anne Mulka , Bellingham, WA

I found out that I can get the same results with a used Rabbit Ear antenna I bought at a thrift shop for $1. I have the Clear TV antenna on a TV set in one room which gets four channels and the rabbit ears on another set in a different room and it also gets four channels. I'm really tempted to just tell people to go to the nearest thrift store and buy some rabbit ears for a dollar or so and spend the savings on a nice lunch!

Clear TV is the best

By Woodrow Nulisch , Murrayville, GA , Verified Reviewer

I live in north east Georgia mountains and I receive 82 free channels. That is great results, considering that before, with the analog TV we only got about 12 channels. I would like to become a representative for your antenna.
