I've been using Control GX for years, great product, it used to leave a black rim around the bath (totally acceptable), but since the change of formula, it doesn't.

If anybody had a product that was similar and works, I'd appreciate some advice.

It used to go dark on my hair whilst I had it washed on; however, this no longer happens. Frankly, it does not work.

I used to really enjoy using this product but since it has gone over to a new improved formula it now makes my hair red more like a ginger color. I won't be buying this product again unless they go back to the original formula. I think it's total rubbish now.

Couldn't find the one I've always used, tried everywhere. In the end, found it on Amazon at an exorbitant price of a penny under £20! Control GX anti-dandruff. The new formula turns your hair gingery color, Mrs. went mad and made me wear a cap! Until I found the original, as I said, on Amazon. Will not buy again until they go back to the original, if they do? Why fix it if ain't broke, as they say?

I have recently (April 2017) started using Control GX. It works very well, and I have not experienced the same nail staining, towel discoloration, etc. that I've seen others comment about on various review sites. Now, I did try the Control GX with the Conditioner, and I don't think that works as well as the product without the conditioner. I used to use Grecian Formula, but considering the lead in that product, I will now stick with Control GX. It's easy to use, priced well and does what it advertises. Quite pleased!

I recently tried Control GX, and I'm totally pleased with the product that I had to express the satisfaction with Control GX. I'm 58 years old, tried it, and it really works. Anyone that says it doesn't must be doing something wrong. My hair looks natural, and the change is so subtle that nobody notices the change, which is what I wanted. Totally natural. It really works!

I tried Control GX a year ago and found it worked great, but as the grey reduced the color was too black for my natural light to medium brown. Recently I discovered Control GX for blonde to medium brown and the results are great, shiny brown with highlights probably, caused by my own percent of grey [70%] to brown ratio coloring at different rates. It does not look fake (hair dyes I have used in the past that cover too well give a helmet of the same color).

I have been using Control GX for about a year now. I am very pleased with this product. Right about six months or so into it, I noticed that I was losing hair. I read some reviews where others complained of same results. One day, when I was getting my haircut, I asked my girl to go easy on cutting my hair since I was losing hair by dying it. She told me that it was unlikely to lose hair from dye. She suggested it may be from medication or diet. She was absolutely correct. I had a back injury around that time and was taking prescription pain meds. When I stopped taking my meds, my hair got thicker again.

I take a shower and wash my hair daily. I use the product 2 to 4 times a week and use regular shampoo in between. I was 90% gray. Now I'm about 5 percent gray on the side only, which looks totally natural. Btw, it also works on other parts of the body, despite what the manufacturer says.

The older formula has a purplish tint that works better for brown hair.

The new formula is terrible. Turns brown to orange. I used to like the older product. The new one with the extra goodies is terrible.

What has happened? I have been using this shampoo for years and have been very happy with it. Recently it hasn't worked and my hair is going orange/copper (much to the amusement of my friends!). I note a few other people saying the same. Please change it back! I tried to find a number to contact the company originally before writing this - with no joy (as yet). Hopefully, the company realizes its mistake. I thought it was a "bad batch".

I agree with all the same comments regarding turning your hair ginger/orange. However, I complained to JFM a few months ago via their website. They responded quite quickly and also apologized. They offered to send me a free bottle once they changed their formula. The bottle turned up in the post last week and the batch number starts with Z22. The outer packaging looks the same but the bottle itself is a different design. More importantly, the new formula hasn't turned my hair ginger/orange and over 3 days I've definitely noticed a positive change. Fingers crossed they get this new formula out in the shops ASAP.

Not only does this product works for men, it works for women as well. In the past, I used female dyes, which only irritates and dries my scalp, but I used the product only twice and all I could say was "wow!" I saw the ad on TV and said "what the heck," so I bought it and was overwhelmed. I am NEVER going back to those harsh chemicals ever again.

This product is now terrible. I have been using Control GX for many years with no problem at all. Now for some reason, the company decided to change its formula and it has changed my hair to an orange/copper color.

Going to get advice from a solicitor to see if I can take legal action against the company as it has affected my wellbeing!

Just like everyone else, I've been using this product for a couple of years and loved it, now it's a horrible yellow color and doesn't seem to work at reducing the grey. I made the mistake of sticking up with 4 bottles! Very dissatisfied.

My father has been using this shampoo for years and his hair was hardly grey and it was a great product. Recently, the formula has changed and his hair is turning a copper brown not black. Also, he had an extremely severe reaction to whatever was in the formula. His hair was itchy, his scalp was heavily wounded, red and sore, and he had some hair loss. He's been having this problem for more than 3 months. Will not be buying until the formula is changed.

When Control GX first appeared on the market I was so pleased that at last, I could have natural-looking hair. I felt that it had saved me at the 11th hour from a life as the "Grey Man". For the past 4 years, I have been more than happy with the product but then recently the "new improved" version came onto the market and I was eager to try it to see how much better it could be, however, I have been noticing that my hair has started to turn orange where I have used the shampoo mainly around the back and sides as the top of my head is still mostly brown so doesn't need as many applications.

Very disappointed, have had to go back to eBay and try to identify, and purchase, the old stock and buy that, but the old stock won't last forever. Do the manufacturers not test their product before launching it? Obviously not in this case.

I’ve been using this product for a number of years now and was always very happy with the results. About 6 months ago I noticed that the whole experience of using the shampoo had altered and the resulting effect is noticeably poorer. In fact, there is virtually no effect whatsoever.

Just For Men Control GX Shampoo has changed its original formula to make it more profitable to the company. It has turned its back on its loyal customers for a profit.

What one or two shampoos accomplished now will not. They have changed the shampoo to cover way less with more uses to make its loyal customers spend time and efforts with less success in order for the believing customer spend needless time, effort, and funds with very little satisfaction. Do not purchase this product, instead, look at its competitors and you will get better results.
