I did not read the reviews before use. Although I've been using Just For Men for years, I tried Control GX for the first time. My hair is too short, and I have brown blotches on my head. Also, skin irritation. I have a job interview in the morning, but I don't think I'll go. What to do?

I am using Control GX for three weeks with one problem. It has changed the color of my hair to a blue tint gray, which is very noticeable. The shampoo does work great, but it would be amazing if it was not for the blue tint.

I have dark brown hair with some gray hairs starting to pop up on both sides of my head. Tried Control GX and it had turned my dark brown hair to a medium brown with a tint of red. My friends had asked me why my hair is much lighter than it was. Control GX would be a good product if it would come in black, dark brown, medium brown, etc.

I used this product for several months and I noticed dramatic hair loss on my head. This was further confirmed with hair in the drain. I stopped using this about 3 weeks ago and the difference is amazing. No hair in the drain and my hair looks fuller. I am going to go back to using Just For Men hair color every two months. I never had a problem using that product. I recommend to everyone that you do not use this product. It sinks.

I have used the original Control GX product for a few years now and found it to be effective and natural-looking. I purchased the new formula last month and like many other recent reviews, I have also experienced the same problem with my hair color changing to an unpleasant orangey color. I no longer have confidence in the product and hopefully, they will revert back to the original version.

This new improved formula is absolute rubbish, it leaves your hair orange or brassy, brittle, and hair loss is the norm. I have emailed the company with an official complaint and would urge others to do the same.

Like many, I loved this product for a couple of years and had it perfectly tailored to my needs. But since they have changed it to this orange color, it just turns my hair a burnt orange/brown. It has left me embarrassed and stressed, not to mention buying a second as I thought the first was a faulty one. I first bought the 118 ml, then saw these reviews and sought out a 147 ml, but it's the same, so it's clearly the new formula that is way off. I can only say to believe the reviews and don't buy any thinking it will be ok. JFM needs to sack whoever decides on these changes, change it back, clowns, or face a product recall or worse. Absolutely shocking treatment of people's trust.

After using it for years with terrific results, they have ruined it with a new formula that actually makes you look stupid. I complained and they promised me a replacement but I never received it, even after me prodding them several times. Like someone else has asked, does anyone know of an alternative?

What have they done to this shampoo, as I have ended up with a light ginger color? The old formula worked fine and I had used it for a few years. I purchased the current shampoo about 2 months ago. This was once a brilliant product that worked perfectly; however, since you changed to the new formula it no longer works. This has left my hair a dirty copper/orange color. The product has been totally ruined. I will no longer be purchasing this product until you revert back to the original formula that always worked.

No longer does what it says — the images on their website are hilarious. Turns an orangey color and under light, your hair looks like it's had a purple rinse. Idiots! Why change something that worked?! Progress? Nope!

I have used Control GX regularly, however, it seems to show an appearance that the hair is dyed, which is a bit weird in that I don't want people to think I am dying my hair, but it does help.

Ok, so I tried this product 5 months ago and I have nothing bad to say about it. I too am an actor and it has given me a look that is 10 years younger, honestly. NO hair loss has been observed by me. Buy it and try it once. You will not regret it. A fellow grey guy.

I have used Control GX for many years now. Then they boasted a new improved formula. When I bought this new formula my hair color changed to a gingery color from what before with the old formula always looked quite natural.

Thinking this might be a bad batch, I purchased another, but it is still as bad. It now changes your hair to a totally unnatural ginger color.

I have now stopped using it and am waiting for this obnoxious color to grow out.

In the old days when I washed it out after shampooing the wastewater was purple. Now it’s orange. What have they done?

The new formula is horrendous and turned my hair ginger/brown.

I managed to find a small chemist with old stock. I emptied their shelves but once that is gone, I will not be buying again.

I had used this reasonably satisfactorily, but it seems that there is a "new formula". The old version produced a foam which quickly turned grey, then dark greyish blue, it worked. The new version produces a coral pink foam which, apart from being quite disturbing, appears to do little else. Quite useless, and should be removed from sale. I cannot recommend this product.

Why oh why have they changed the formula? The original product worked so well. The new (and smaller package but same-priced tube) formula is utterly useless, leaving hair a gingery pale color. I shall not be buying it again. Please reintroduce the old product.
