Copper Chef Pans

By Rosie, New Jersey, Verified Reviewer

I'm loving my Copper Chef Pans because I asked questions. My conclusion is: don't go by the claims (or the do's or don'ts) that are made about the pans. Use the pans as you would any other. You can use olive oil and butter (no oil or non-stick sprays) as you would ordinarily. Use your own recipes and you will find the pans are really awesome. As for scratches and nicks, well, take care of them as you would any other copper pan. And always use your non-metal utensils.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great pans, worth every penny.

By Rusty1325, Bullhead City, AZ, Verified Reviewer

I have tried other copper pans, i.e. Red Copper, and Copper Chef is the best hands down. I read some of these reviews and they claim things sticks to it. I have made chocolate, cheese sauce, as well as many glazes and sauces and not once did anything stick. I am really enjoying being able to use this pan as a deep fryer. The only issue I am having is I have seen the flat square pan advertised but when I wrote Copper Chef to ask for some info on it they did not return my email.

Wondering

By John, Pennsylvania, Verified Reviewer

So far I've had a pretty good experience, although the magical sliding off of the food is incorrect I have to use a spray oil or butter. But my question is can I use my lid in the oven? That was never addressed using in the commercial or instructions.

Poor quality control

By Denise, Ringeos, NJ, Verified Reviewer

I ordered this pan in 9.5 inch with a lid for my mother. She received the pan, but the lid did not fit and it was warped. We are sending it back. We are very disappointed because she likes the size and the look of the pan.

Poor Quality

By H, Albuquerque, NM, Verified Reviewer

I loved this pan at first. I made popcorn and just by sliding the pan back and forth on the stove the copper coating scraped right off the bottom like nothing.

You can see the copper color scrapings on the burner. Also, the center of the pan " bowed" with the edges on the inside lower. Imagine what it would do in the oven? The silver edging on the lid you can pull it away from the lid, it's not tightly secure.

This is my second pan. As for the first pan, after using it with a non-stick utensil, it got a small chip in the far inside corner. I thought to myself, “Well it could be a manufactured defect. I'll try another pan”. Well, I did. and what a disappointment. I went through two pans in less than 2 months use.

They're not durable AT ALL.

BUYER BEWARE! I returned both. I'm getting Gotham Steel, they have everything plus durability.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Scam

By Barbara Mock, Fairdealing, MO, Verified Reviewer

I saw the advertisement on TV for the Copper Chef pan and thought it would be a great Christmas gift!

I went online, and the photo was the same deep skillet shown on TV. The ad offered the skillet for $19.99, but also offered a bonus lid for $7.95. It then offered an additional skillet for $14.99. I thought that was a great deal!

The credit card was billed about $51.00. I received my skillets around 12/28/16, which I give them credit for since I didn't order until 12/21/16. HOWEVER, all I received were two nine inch skillets and no lid! I called them 12/30/16 twice, but their computers were down.

I called just now and asked why they falsely advertised, but "Abbey" didn't really say anything except that I didn't pay for the lid! Each skillet was $7.95 shipping and handling too. I told her it would have been cheaper at WalMart and I won't deal with their scam. I asked for paid return labels, and she said I have to pay to return them!

I am a 61-year-old widow and only wanted to get my girls a nice gift. I would be too embarrassed to hand them a 9" skillet without even a lid!

Biggies ripoff ever!

By Pat, Staten Island, NY, Verified Reviewer

I couldn't cancel the order by phone. I was told to refuse the delivery and put in my dispute with my Citibank credit card. I lost the dispute, even thought they said in the reply that they have the package. They said Citibank wouldn't take the return from them. Since then, I have been told I would be sent a check from them on three separate occasions, and am now on the hook for $84, and Copper Chef has the package.

Do not do business with this company, and keep looking it up. It is a tiny piece of junk according to most people who bought it.

Not satisfied with product

My 9-inch pan is chipping, which is not as advertised. I was told I could repurchase it, but if I'm having a problem with the product, why would I repurchase it?

Poor product

By John May, Chewelah, WA, Verified Reviewer

I like my hash browns a little scorched, and that is the way I cooked them. When I attempted to turn them over, they were stuck to the pan. The result was a palm-sized burn that was extremely difficult to remove. I followed the directions for removing the burned material and was not successful.

Finally, I was able to remove the burned material with a nylon scrubby. The bottom of the pan remains stained and is not non-stick. Don't buy it.

Terrible design

By Sharon, Charlotte, NC, Verified Reviewer

This product is junk. When we washed it, the handles of both pans and all utensils filled with water. We had to stand there and hang it upside down to let the water drain out of the handles. Water is still dripping out of it. It is a terrible design and quality.

Not worth it

By Bill Landers, San Jose, CA, Verified Reviewer

I got these yesterday and was looking forward to using them. My favorite breakfast is an omelet cooked in some bacon grease and butter. So, of course, I have to cook the bacon first.

There are just general temperature instructions, so I followed the instructions. I put the bacon on before turning on the induction cooker and turned the temp to 390 degrees. The pan immediately warped.

Ok, so I figured that was too hot for bacon. Thanks for the accurate instructions.

Since I ordered two pans, I tried again today, but I set the temperature on the induction cooker to 260 degrees. The lowest temperature recommended for sautéing. Again I put the bacon on before turning the heat on. Again the same results. The pan immediately warped.

These pans are cheap. They are way too light for serious use. Maybe they work fine under the conditions they use them on the infomercial, but they are too thin for general use. I'm getting my money back.
