Scam

By Elise , Fort Wayne, IN

I can't speak to the effectiveness of the actual workouts because I signed up for it and promptly forgot about it. I am very active and love to exercise. I just never got into DailyBurn. However, I think a company screams scam when you enter your credit card information and never hear from them again. I had a subscription for three months and never got a single email from them. If they were really interested in keeping me fit, wouldn't they be emailing me and reminding me to work out and fulfill my fitness goals? Once I canceled, the emails started to stream in asking me to return and asked me to work out with them. I was so turned off at that point. I would never recommend it to anyone.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Great options, variety, and value

By Jennfer , Florida

I don't know what people are complaining about. There are so many options for what ever you're working for. As much support as you want for yourself. No they won't hold your hand and drag you to the screen, but you can get a diet plan for each week with ingredients and recipes, one to one coaching or just do the workouts yourself. I love classes, but here in South Florida classes and gym memberships are really costly for those with group classes. So I pay way LESS: $10 a month for the gym machines and use DailyBurn for classes that would normally run me about $10-$30 per visit or $100 a month.

As for the billing issues, well as far as I can tell you're only as informed as you choose to be. Pay attention to the fine print. No one is getting ripped off unless they are just dumb and didn't pay attention. No cancelation is easy, but that's a common occurrence for any subscription service, membership or club.

It fits pretty well for most people, not everyone I'm sure but it's a great fit for a lot of us.

Working well for me on second time around

By MJ , WA

Tried this last year and stopped after roughly a week; not because of the website but because of my own lack of drive. Had no issue with cancelling then, simply sent an email and it was done.

Have been using it regularly now and it is great. All sorts of options for beginner to advanced as well as the new Daily365. It can be a bit tricky navigating the site at times but I would recommend it to anyone that is serious about getting healthy.

Love the Workouts, Skip the Supplements

By D Reagan , Houston, TX

I love the Daily Burn Workouts. I started at the Total Beginner Program because it had been a long time since I exercised regularly. I've never been a fan of the gym scene and do not feel social when I'm exercising, so I love doing the workouts on my schedule without the extra wasted time of getting to and from the gym.

The nutrition program looks balanced and there are a wide variety of recipes to choose from. If you like to track every last bit that goes into your mouth, their tracker app is pretty good, but I like SparkPeople's tracker a bit better.

Now I have to make a point about the supplements. The Trim and Pre-Workout supplements are loaded with caffeine (138 mg and 200 mg, respectively). They bury this info in the supplement facts tab while showing you pretty pictures of all the plant based-components. A cup of green tea is 25mg. A Monster Energy drink is 160-240 mg. The Fuel-6 protein powder looks ok and is fine if you really want to go vegan or have issues with whey and soy protein.

Love this

By Mandie Adones , Belvidere, NJ

I am a stay at home mother of two boys. I was looking to join a gym but with my son's sports schedule and husband's work schedule and a toddler it was very hard to find time to go. I kept seeing DailyBurn on TV and talked with my husband about trying it. He encouraged me to do it. I researched the free trial and how much they would charge if I didn't cancel after the 30 days right on their site. It was all there in the terms and conditions about the auto charge after 30 days. $12.95 per month is not that bad and since my husband is very into weights, all I got was some little things we didn't have here so that I could get more out of the workouts.

I didn't have to buy anything if I didn't want to and the trainers even tell you if you don't have it don't worry. The modifications for some of the exercises are great too especially if you are a beginner or have a previous knee, hip, shoulder injury etc. I haven't been bombarded with emails from them or any annoyances to buy their supplements, products, etc.

I recommend DailyBurn to all the busy stay at home moms I know. I have been using it for a month and am seeing results and have become more self motivated to get up every day and workout for an hour. The diversity of the programs are great as well. I love my DailyBurn.

Best workouts I have ever done

By Allison, Atlanta, GA, Verified Reviewer

I have always been more of a "workout from home" person, because I enjoy the flexibility of working out whenever I can fit it in throughout my day. Of course, I have tried the "going to the gym" thing, and have probably taken every type of fitness class under the sun, but ultimately, working out in my home is for me. I have a library of workout DVDs (mostly Jillian Michaels), but was excited to try something new with DailyBurn about a year ago. I have absolutely loved DailyBurn, and am currently in the best shape I've been in years. The variety of workouts available, both in time required and intensity, is unmatched by anything I've seen (especially for the price). It's truly amazing how the DailyBurn workouts can really force you to work to your limits, even though no one is physically there to motivate you. Anja Garcia and her Inferno program is my absolute favorite, even though she completely kicks your butt! And as an added bonus, I'll tweet her every now and then, and she always responds. How is that for free coaching and motivation?

I would (and have) recommend DailyBurn to anyone, and everyone!

Two years and counting

By Cindy D., Virginia Beach, VA, Verified Reviewer

I have been a DailyBurn member for two years. When I signed up, I marked my calendar so I would remember to cancel after my free trial. Before signing up for DailyBurn, I had been a sales rep for a health-focused multilevel marketing company. However, I grew tired of that company’s MLM model and the workouts, I was looking for a new challenge. When I first started doing DailyBurn, I selected Bob Harper’s Black Fire program, which I loved because I could compete with myself and improve each time I did a workout. I then discovered the live, brand new every day, daily workouts with DB365 and I have never looked back.

DB365 gives me variety and something to look forward to; it continues to challenge me, and the community is very supportive and encouraging. The trainers that lead the workouts are top-notch and active within the DailyBurn Facebook group. I feel like I have a personal trainer at my fingertips every time I work out. I love being able to work out at home and not try to fit my schedule around gym class schedules. I’m so glad I found a DailyBurn two years ago!

Fraud charges

By Lindsay R., Pennsylvania, Verified Reviewer

Fraud charges to my card. I never signed up for this but am being charged month after month. I want this off my credit card and my money back for every month I was charged. Unreal. And there is no human to freakin' call to talk to about it.

so far, so good

By Joanne Straub, Phoenix, AZ, Verified Reviewer

The program itself I'd give 5 stars. My one point of annoyance is neither the website or app seem to track my completed workouts reliably. If I could make one change, it would be to add a template page to track everything, with the option to import your workouts, intake, and other stats easily. Having to use an external tracker, where I input all my info, is an extra nuisance I'd rather be able to avoid.

The workouts themselves have exceeded my expectations, my local gym went downhill and my condition with it. Going to a more distant one in the high heat of a Phoenix summer is completely unappealing as well as inconvenient. And I find I skip the gym those days I'd be driving longer than working out.

Without that excuse, my conscience keeps me motivated. It is definitely self starter oriented, as you can always opt to not turn on the program. But if you're good at sticking to a program and committing yourself, it's a damn good and a good value.

Scam

By Jany Mary, Haskell, NJ, Verified Reviewer

They make you provide your credit card with their free trial. If you forget to remove it, they will bill you without a chance of getting your money back.

I heard about them through Groupon. I signed up for the free trial, and after the first 10 minutes, I realized it was not for me. I never return, and four months later there's three-month charge on my account. I tried to get a refund but they deny every single possibility.
