My rescue pup loves it.

By Becky T., Littleton, NC, Verified Reviewer

My Beagle-Chow mix came from a shelter and is incredibly independent. She's sweet and loving, but won't come in the house until she's good and ready - which is usually after full dark. If I try to catch her she laughs and runs away.

She's a smart dog, and treats do not entice her - she's wise to that trick. Well, she was. This food is the only thing that overrides her sense of self-preservation. No more whining and jumping away - if I toss a piece out to her and put a few more in the bowl she comes right in.

Meals are gobbled down, and extra tidbits ensure that I get to sleep when I'm ready, rather than when she finally runs out of critters to chase. Thanks Dr. Marty; my dog loves her nutritious food, and I love having something to lure her into the house with!

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

2 and 1/2 pound Yorkie with pancreatitis

By Betty M., Versailles, IN, Verified Reviewer

I read one review about a small Yorkie getting pancreatitis after eating this food. I have an 8-year-old Yorkie that has had pancreatitis for several years. I was told I could not feed her any human food and she was to eat only the vet prescribed healthy food. I tried their wet and dry and every brand they had and she would not eat it. All of it was expensive and she had hard stool. I do not want to starve my dog to the point they have to eat what my vet prescribed for them. Molly has been eating Dr. Marty’s Natural pet food without starving her. I give her only nine pieces twice a day. She has been on it for a week or so now. She has not had any stomach issues as yet and I am hoping she continues to do good. This food is no more expensive than the vet's brand of foods they recommend. Molly would still vomit eating their food. She so far has not vomited at all on Dr. Marty’s. I think some vets only recommend the brand of food their office promotes. Molly has her energy back already and doesn’t always want to chew on something like before. I really hope she continues to do good on this food.

Saved our sanity

By Rhonni M., Mount Pleasant, SC, Verified Reviewer

My year-old Cavachon puppy was making monthly trips to the vet. His stomach was very sensitive and he frequently would vomit and suffer with diarrhea for days, he would get listless and dehydrate. He was surviving on antibiotics and super probiotics. Then we discovered Dr. Marty's food. He didn't like it at first, we had to doctor it up with homemade bone broth and a bit of crumbled chopped meat. It was like an off switch. He is 2 years old now, he hasn't vomited in a year, he has puppy energy and his stool only gets soft if and when he gets into goose poo. He now loves his food, feels good all the time and (by the way) no longer chews his feet.

No more finicky Shih Tzu

By Robert F., Evanston, WY, Verified Reviewer

We have four dogs, one is a very finicky Shih Tzu, to say the least! He would eat very little either in the mornings or in the evenings, but what worried us was, he sometimes just didn’t eat at all. His coat was gross to pet, and was a lethargic acting dog.

Since he’s been eating Dr. Marty’s Blend, no fooling, he is like a new dog. He races to his bowl every time it’s ready to be served. Sometimes he goes around to the other bowls checking to see if anything is left in them. Sorry for him, they’re empty.

We see all of them toning up and having shiny and softer fur.

Another one of our dogs was so overweight, we didn’t want to take her to the vet, cause she was made fun of!

Since eating the Blend, she has toned up, lost 20 pounds at least, walks much better and has a brighter eye shine! We love what it’s done for our furry babies! They all absolutely love the Blend! They all hang around wanting more! We may sound like a commercial, but this is how amazed we are!

Expensive

By Srtanley L., Pacifica, CA, Verified Reviewer

My 90lbs Shep/Lab mix LOVES the food. However, I find it's much too expensive to feed him on a daily basis.

Being retired, my budget is more in line with Purina Dog Chow!

But he does love the food!

Old and happy

By Bonny L., Rancho Mirage, CA, Verified Reviewer

My dog Polly will be 19 years old next month. Her younger sister was 15 when she passed away last May. Polly started to not eat the food we had given her, her entire life and I thought, "oh no," she is on her way to join her sister in doggy heaven. That same day there was a pop up on my computer about Dr. Marty's food. I watched the entire video and almost did not order the food when he said, "the hardest part of your day will be the three minutes you have to wait to re-hydrate the food." I thought to myself, that is crazy! Well, I have to tell you that he was right. My 18-year-old dog screams at me to feed her! It is really true and absolutely amazing but I think my 18-year-old Polly may go another 18 years so she can continue to eat Dr. Marty's food.

Rufus eats now

By Lee J., Long Beach, CA, Verified Reviewer

Rufus is a fourteen-year-old mix of Terrier and Australian Sheepdog. I adopted him from a local shelter when he was three years old. He has always been timid to eat his food. In fact, I have to stand by the bowl while he eats. I have to continue to praise him while he eats most of the time. However, ever since I've been mixing Dr. Marty's blend of dog food into his bowl he goes after his food without being coached and seems to love it because now he eats a small bowl in the morning and night!

The other benefit from this product is Rufus's coat seems to be softer and more heathy looking. I have been using it two months now and will continue to use it and of course tell others.

Unbelievable!

By Susan P., Keller, TX, Verified Reviewer

Lucy, our 14-year-old Havanese, has been given a Prozac and a pain pill daily for a few years. Six weeks after starting Dr. Marty's dog food she no longer needs the pills. Her coat is now shiny and a better texture.

I had been preparing myself mentally in preparation for losing her-no more. We have found the fountain of youth!

Finicky eater, toy Poodle

By David N., Bakersfield, CA, Verified Reviewer

We've tried everything the markets and pet stores have to offer. Canned food, the best we can buy, and bagged dry food. Shushu would nibble at it if he was half-starved. We even tried the refrigerated stuff, he seemed to like it at first but showed his true colors after a few meals. Being skeptical about every ad I heard about how good a product was, I thought, out of desperation, I would try your freeze-dried raw food. Well, let me tell you, Dr. Marty, Shushu loves the raw food. I first mixed it with his regular can food to get him accustomed to the new food, as you suggested, when he finally came up for air the only thing left on his plate was the canned food. He's been on the raw diet about three weeks, he has more energy and is more playful with his friends. I assume his inside is doing as well as his outside. Dr. Marty, I'm very satisfied with raw food and so is Shushu.

I mix the food with a little extra water, he likes the gravy it makes.

Winning menu!

By Pam D., Lafayette, LA, Verified Reviewer

I have a tiny toy poodle, Icee. She is our "baby girl" and worth the best of food. Immediately she took to what I have begun to call the "golden nuggets" as they are small and of a yellow color. I use to give her bites of meat when I ate as she wanted to eat with me. Very easily with no fuss at all I have replaced my bad habit and begun to use golden nuggets as the New treat. She LOVES them.

As suggested I tried mixing them with her regular dry pellet foods but she pulls them out and SORTS the food to get the golden nuggets. So to make the transition we play her favorite run game of fetching her dry pellets food so her system will get used to the transition. Icee says THANKS! She loves the Golden Nuggets!

Promises kept

By Catharine B., Hawaii, Verified Reviewer

All the things that Dr. Marty said came true. I have 3 dogs and all of them are doing fantastic on their new diet. Cinamon, the chihuahua, was always picky. Now she comes running when it's time to eat. She sheds less and is much softer. Kim Chee, my silky terrier, has always had skin problems. I have tried many different things to help her. For the first time her skin is clear! No bumps or sores. Her hair is very silky and smooth. Katie is our newest addition. She is a mixed breed and looks like a min black lab. She too can't wait to eat and her coat is so smooth and shiny. Everybody notices when I take the three of them for a walk. I love it and more importantly, they love it!
