Fur babies love it

By JoAnn J., Germantown, MD, Verified Reviewer

My fur babies absolutely love the Nature's Blend. I have 3 Maltese with sensitive stomachs. We began mixing the Nature's Blend food with the Blue Wilderness food. They never came and watched me make their food until now. They are so excited to eat it. The detox was tough for the first 5 days so we eased up on the raw. We add a bit more then make sure their bowels are normal. Then we add a little bit more. It will be a little while before they are completely raw, but I am looking forward to it and so are they.

Good product, but too expensive.

By Frank d., British Columbia, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I have two poodles, so I ordered three bags of your dog food to give it an honest try. I use it half and half with a raw meat and my dogs love it and almost licked the bottom out of their bowls, so as far as likability is concerned it passes the test with flying colors.

However, it seems this product is made in Canada, but I have to order it from the USA in US currency. This makes the product a very costly item for me and therefore I am unsure whether to continue its use due to expense.

I gave it a 4-star rating only because of the cost.

First impressions

By Sheridan U., Richardson, TX, Verified Reviewer

Max is a 9-year-old Dashound male and was reluctant to accept Nature's Blend which I followed in your email instructions. Eventually, he accepted water-less food but only with urging and some treats mixed in. By the second bag, he no longer eats previous food (Wellness Small Breed Adult) and now eats one meal in AM and one meal PM. I load his dish with a handful and a half, then give him soft treats mixed with Nature's pellets, dry. The 2nd bag is gone and he only needs a little encouragement. My wife is a dementia patient and REALLY loves Max, and is constantly finding ways to slip him treats so I watch both to prevent his gaining weight. Of course I am considered the bad guy in any effort to keep him at 16lbs so any ideas are welcome.

Good

By Mary G., Florida, Verified Reviewer

I have two dogs. My older dog has a hard time adjusting to this as she is used to soft foods. Even though I add water to the new product. My younger dog loves it. She can't get enough of it. LOL.

Can't afford only Dr. Marty's

By Amy C., Huntington Beach, CA, Verified Reviewer

Unfortunately for Lucy, I can't afford to feed her only your food so I cook her food every 2 weeks and supplement with Dr. Marty's on top. She's a very happy girl and we'll continue to purchase Dr. Marty's freeze-dried food whenever possible.

Thank you.

Introducing

By John K., Bainbridge Island, WA, Verified Reviewer

I am in the introduction phase as I begin using his new food. He is eager to eat his food. I have noticed that he has more energy. I have already recommended the food to others for them to try.

Slow start but okay now.

By Martha J., Oxford, MD, Verified Reviewer

At first my two small dogs would not eat the food, then one of the dogs had throwing up and diarrhea for a short time. Now both are eating it with no side effects. I mix this food with their regular dry food.

Nature's Blend and Tilly's Treats

By Leonardo d., San Juan Capistrano, CA, Verified Reviewer

I'm always looking for a healthy alternative when it comes to my dog's meals and treats. I've upgraded to the healthier, premium dry dog foods that do not contain grains. Out of curiosity, I decided to try Nature's Blend dehydrated raw dog food. Thinking that it was more expensive, I would try it as was suggested as a topper to his regular dry kibble, to make it stretch further, last longer.

My dog, Rojo, a rescue from Mexico, prefers his dry kibble moistened. At first, I used a little water. Then later, I started using an instant beef bone broth mix specially formulated for pets. When I started using Nature's Blend, I was re-hydrating it with water. Then it occurred to me to hydrate it with the broth.

Needless to say, Rojo loves his meals now and diligently lets me know when it's feeding time as if he has an internal clock. He loves the topping of Nature's Blend mix with the broth so much, that I am now thinking of portioning his food half and half, half kibble and half Nature's Blend and broth mix. Not that the broth is needed, but I feel it adds to the flavor. That's my own little twist.

When preparing Rojo's meal, I feel like I'm a gourmet chef, fixing up for him a delicacy. I'm very impressed with the addition of Nature's Blend to my pup's meals. As time goes by, I realize the value of feeding him a wholesome and nutritious meal. It gives me great satisfaction that I'm doing what I can to keep Rojo satisfied, healthy, spunky, and active. I've noticed that he has become more lively, attentive. Nothing else has changed. So, it must be the change in his diet.

Rojo also loves Tilly's Treats, I've been constantly looking for treats that I can give him with a clear conscience. I'm never sure of the other stuff that's out there. He just snaps them up and I know they're good for him. I'm sold on Dr. Marty's products and I'm sure Rojo is too.

Excellent product, way too expensive!

By Blake F., Fort Worth, TX, Verified Reviewer

Love the product, or might I say my dogs love the product. Quite honestly, it's way too expensive and I can't afford it. A bag lasts 2 days between two dogs, so I don't see how I can keep appropriately supplied without killing my budget. Make bigger bags of the product.

Looks good, but how much to feed?

By Lewis H., Florida, Verified Reviewer

My response evidently did not go thru.

I need help determining how much food to give my two 16 lb dogs as a supplement to their afternoon meal of chicken brown rice sweet potato and broccoli. They get a cup of food each day, half at 6 am and the other half at 3 pm. I want to add your food as an addition in the pm meal, and reduce my homemade.

my dog got sick

By Donna M., Lodi, NY, Verified Reviewer

My dog went right for the food. But by the time he finished the first bag he got sick. Now he's reluctant to eat it. This time of year he usually is pulling his hair out because of his allergies. He has not done this so far. I can not say for sure if the food has something to do with the food.
