Better than average

By Gabrielle H., Ashburn, VA, Verified Reviewer

My dog couldn't wait to eat her new food, she loves it. However, she is a picky eater and she liked different flavors of food. Before I switched her to your food she would another brand of food but different flavors. She likes a variety and sometimes won't eat her food because it tastes the same. Would love more flavors.

Instant hit

By Barbara G., Pleasanton, CA, Verified Reviewer

Buster is a picky eater, easily bored with the same old thing. He's a healthy 9-year-old springer spaniel. Buster sniffed out something new immediately as the hot water reached the freeze-dried organ meats and they tantalized him with a growing stronger scent, "Announcing dinner is on!" He scared down the small starter bowl and came begging for more. After finishing off the second small bowl he was SOLD!

After 2 of 3 bags, Buster sniffed and walked away as usual. Disappointing. Reverted to old grains, with new food as a topper. That lasted a few days, and then total boredom set in.

I liked the convenience of freeze-dried food, and the fact that it smelled like real food, even human food.

We're halfway through bag #3 and the jury's out. I simmer chicken liver in a small amount of water, break that into big bite pieces and then pour the whole thing into a bowl of Dr. Marty and he gobbles it up. I'm concerned though that it could be too much of a good thing, adding chicken liver to the packaged food?

Teddy the finicky Yorkie

By Teresa H., Illinois, Verified Reviewer

I feel this is a good product, but Yorkies are finicky eaters and Teddy will turn his nose and walk away from this food at first and then with a little coaxing he then resigns himself to eating this. I wonder if it is the lack of smell.

I started using your product because Teddy was diagnosed with severe allergies and had breakouts on his skin like acne. He had to have antibiotics and Apoquel to get rid of the reaction on his skin. He also sneezes a lot. The vet had him use a hydrolized food for two months but he turned his nose to that food too.

He is allergic to every type of protein source (chicken, beef, fish, duck venison, turkey, etc.), the only protein source that worked for him was beef liver according to the allergy test. As well as his allergies include rice, yeast, flaxseed, potatoes, etc.

I was not sure your food would work but I have given him only this food for one month and he has had no outbreaks. I just am not sure how to get him to like eating it because he will walk away from it. Also, he only eats 1/4 cup twice a day so the bag lasts a long time.

I hope Teddy likes this and will stay eating this because I am running out of ideas of what to feed him besides cooking for him myself and then I am not sure he gets the nutrients he needs. He seems much healthier and his coat is shiny again and not dry his eyes are tearing less so I feel this is working.

First time using Nature's Blend

By Gloria L., British Columbia, Canada, Verified Reviewer

We have just started introducing our girl, a 4-year-old border collie/blue heeler mix breed gradually to Nature's Blend dog food. We just started two weeks ago and we have already noticed how nice and soft her fur is. "Star" has more energy and more alert. Her stool is firm and looking better. She loves this new food and can't wait for my husband to feed her on time.

We will continue feeding her this new diet to help her to diminish her scratching and chewing on her fur which may be due to allergy.

We're glad we stumble upon Dr. Marty's Nature Blend on the internet. We are happy with the result so far and we're sure there will be more positive outcomes in the future.

Thank you, Dr. Marty.

Anything to help my Buster

By Ann Z., Woodstock, GA, Verified Reviewer

I read about Dr. Marty and the food products he developed online and thought maybe this would help my Buster. Buster is an active 9-year-old Boston Terrier. He is so active people have a hard time believing he is 9!

Buster has always had a skin problem and I have tried various foods, shampoos, skin treatments and of course, medications that my vet has prescribed. He seems to always get it bad in the early fall when the leaves start falling off the trees. He gets bumps and pimples, is itchy and starts to smell really bad.

So I started him on Dr. Marty's food, 1/4 cup as it is so expensive!

Buster loves it, however, after one bag of food I have not seen or smelled a difference in him.

So today I have gone to 1/2 cup and am hoping this will help. I have 1 and 1/2 bags remaining which I hope will be enough to see and smell a change. If it works I will be buying more.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

The jury is still out

By Donald D., Estero, FL, Verified Reviewer

I have a 14-year-old female, long-haired, short-legged Jack Russell. She has cataracts and has been declared legally blind, which I agree is probably true. Her daily routine is, to wake up and scratch and lick, go out, continue to scratch and lick her private parts, have a pill, calm down and sleep until lunch. Go out, have a bit of lunch, scratch and chew a bit and go back to sleep. Wakes up for dinner, loves your food, goes out, starts scratching chewing an licking, has another pill, crashes until going out one last time and then going to bed. Some night she fine and some nights she scratches and chews herself to sleep. The pill she takes is Apoquel, I was hoping after switching her to your food I could ween her off of the Apoquel. The cost of her Apoquel and your food are roughly the same. Bella’s stool was firm before starting on Dr. Marty’s and after a month is still not as firm as it was prior to starting. Her coat looks thicker and better and the growths on her skin seem to be clearing up and going away. All in all, she does seem to be more calm and content, which I like. I’m going to give it a few more months, but the jury is still out on this one.

16-year-old Poodle likes it

By Margot M., Cedar, MN, Verified Reviewer

My old dog Bosco has digestive issues. He loves Dr. Marty's sprinkled into his cooked chicken breast and rice pureed mix. He needs low-fat food and will not eat it without Dr. Marty's. A little goes a long way and doesn't upset his tummy any more than it already has been with the regular dog food on the market. So glad to have found something that he can and will eat. He's very picky!

He likes it!

By Tom K., Springdale, AR, Verified Reviewer

Romeo had become pretty finicky about his food; sometimes eating and other times just showing no interest. He also was licking his paws often. After learning more about Dr. Marty and Nature’s Blend, I decided to give it a try. Romeo definitely likes it and eagerly awaits meal times now. He’s still licking his paws but I’m hopeful that will stop too. I recommend Nature’s Blend!

Still anticipating results...

By Sally C., California, Verified Reviewer

Evening! So far my pups LOVE the taste of the food. Nonetheless, the jury is still out on whether or not it provides physical benefits (still too early to tell). Will look forward to letting you know when I know. I have a 16-year-old Yorkshire Terrier and a 3-year-old anxiety-riddled Australian Shephard.

Teddy loves his new food

By Pat R., Verified Reviewer

I ordered in hopes that Teddy would stop chewing his paws. He is an adorable mini Goldendoodle. That hasn’t been the case but he loves the food. I had been using it as a topper but this week went to feeding only Dr. Marty’s. I hope to see some improvement in the near future. At any rate, he now looks forward to dinner time!

Good

By Theresa W., Westbury, NY, Verified Reviewer

First time it took her a while to finish. Came back several times in order to finish. Unusual for her - usually gobbles it all up in seconds licking the plate. After that, I added beef broth and she readily ate it. This is my grand dog, so I don’t have her here to eat that often. When I first tried it she was with me for four days.
