My K9 went crazy, but I think he might be allergic

By Pooyan S., California, Verified Reviewer

First and foremost, I must start this off with an absolutely wonderful thing to say about Dr. Marty's freeze-dried raw food Nature's Blend, once my K9 smelled the bag open he went crazy, I knew he would love it so much and even when I mixed it to start him off slowly he wouldn't even eat his own kibbles and would select each and every nugget from his bowl. The only unfortunate thing I noticed is that when he started eating the food, he would start itching/biting/scratching himself often, and I'm not sure why, I had him checked and I treated him for fleas/ticks and all bugs, but he would still scratch. I had 4 bags and he finished them in less than 2 weeks! I just wish he didn't have a reaction to it. But every dog is different! I didn't see my wife's dog experiencing a reaction.

My dog loves his new food!

By Stacey H., Murfreesboro, TN, Verified Reviewer

I decided to give Dr. Marty’s food a try because my eight-year-old Shih Tzu was not eating regularly and had lost some weight. Mixed the old in with the new and he gobbles it up every time. The only negative I can say about this food is it has a horrible smell and TMI, my dog doesn’t seem to poo as often since we made the switch. I don’t know so I think that’s a bad thing but he just doesn’t go as often. I would recommend this food although it is pricey.

Already recommending it!

By Laura E., Fort Drum, NY, Verified Reviewer

I love this product but not just because my dog loves it, but because I have never purchased a product where I knew the manufacturer cared as much as the consumer. It is very reassuring knowing an expert is helping you take care of your loved ones!

The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I am still working on being able to afford a full serving for my dog. Right now I give her just a topping of it every serving but I can’t honestly recommend it to everyone because of the price. I completely understand why it’s priced the way it is. Nothing worthy would be cheap but most of us do have to incorporate the food price into our budget.

It is totally worth it though! I don’t have to give my moonlight her allergy medicine which costs $80 every two months and if she had a reaction I had to give extra doses. Can’t wait to give this to my baby girl full time and see the results!

Awesome awesome reaction

By Robin S E., Darlington , Verified Reviewer

Dr. Marty's dog food is everything he said it would be. My dog started running more, smiling more, and she loves the food. She will pick around her regular food when I mix it with Dr. Marty's food and leave her food in her bowl. I don't know how she does it but she manages to do that. She looks forward to her meal every time she gets it, now it is time for me to order another bag. I am so excited because she sheds less and she's happier, I can see it in her. Thank you Dr. Marty. I am so glad I ran across this on the internet, I just wish I'd known about it sooner because I became concerned about her not wanting to do anything and shedding terribly, but now that's all changed, and I just say thank you, and I will be ordering another bag. It's the best.

Dog still hungry

By Diana C., California, Verified Reviewer

When I first started your dog food, I did what was suggested and mixed it with his regular dog food. He really liked it and I started to see an improvement in his energy, so I decided to only feed him your food when his regular dog food ran out.

I have been feeding my dog the amount suggested on the package, but he is always barking at us that he is hungry. He is a Bichon and weighs 22-23 lbs, so he should be getting 1 and 1/2 cups of Dr. Marty's a day. I started giving him 2-3 feedings a day of that amount and afraid I am overfeeding him, but he still seems hungry. I don't feel comfortable giving him that much and feel I need to start mixing in his old dog food with it so he seems full.

What do you recommend? I'd give you my order number, but I don't have it.

Best

By Heather H., Michigan, Verified Reviewer

My little Mollie girl loves your food. It's been a month since she's been eating it. I noticed a couple of weeks into it she's didn't want it anymore so it took a week or little more to get her interested again. It could be because she's just used to the food now and it's nothing new to her. I was wondering do some dogs have issues arise with their health having food like this? That their bodies aren't used to, like developing kidney stones or any other type of stones.

I have noticed that she has more energy. This time of year she gets a little itchy but I've noticed she doesn't itch much anymore since she's been on this food. And I don't have her on any anti-itchy medication either I feel good and at ease knowing that I'm given my little girl good quality food. I feed her twice a day six tablespoons each meal. sometimes she doesn't want to finish the whole meal so later in the day I'll offer the rest of it to her and she eventually finish it.

My little dog is a mixed breed, she's a small poodle, Pomeranian, Lhasa Apso mix. She weighs around 15 lb and she's going to be 12 this year. She takes the medication Keppra for seizures and Galliprant for pain. And antacid medication for her tummy.

I've adjusted my budget to be able to afford to feed my little girl the best. I hope I will be able to order your product for her forever.

Thank you so much, Doctor Marty, for developing quality food for my little.

Helps my Rottweiler have more normal bathroom time.

By Breedheen O., Franktown, CO, Verified Reviewer

I can’t afford to put my Rottweiler, Baldur, in your food alone. I give him half a can of premium wet dog food, 4 cups of Blue Buffalo large breed kibble (it has freeze-dried bits in it too), then top it with your food, olive oil and add water. Before your food, Baldur had a cycle of loose stools every few days ("sad tummy" we call it). One month on your food and he’s only having "sad tummy" about once a week. I wish I could afford to give him a cup of your food a day. If I could afford that, I think sad tummy would be a thing of the past. I’m low income so even one bag a month is a bit of a hardship, but very worth it.

Good but not at 100% as of yet

By Judy K., Helendale, CA, Verified Reviewer

She's been so used to having cooked chicken ever since I've had her that she seems to EXPECT it still, so I'm finding that as long as I put even a little chicken in her bowl with the Nature's Blend, she will eat it all, if there's NO chicken in the bowl, she tends to leave it but eats it as a last resort when she gets hungry enough.

Great product

By Shawn R., Oregon, Verified Reviewer

My dog loved it. He was a little upset that he would have to wait for it to soak for a bit, but worth the wait.

He seems to have more energy.

Didn't help much on his chewing himself but I think that's more of an arthritis problem being he only chews at his joints.

The product is a little spendy, especially for a 110 lbs dog so we use it as an additive to his regular food, but at 8 years old he is now more active and alert.

My dog Taz is a picky eater

By Ellen I., Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I have tried many different dog foods, wet and dry. He doesn't like them or only eats the wet when he is feeling starved. Then he would only eat some people foods but not all. With Dr Marty's Nature Blend he is eating it with freeze dried chicken and he finishes his bowl of food twice a day. I am amazed and happy he finally is eating food that is good for him. Thank you Dr. Marty!

So far he likes it

By Maureen H., Portland, OR, Verified Reviewer

Food just arrived and Hunter seems to like it. He’s getting some sprinkled over the old food. He likes the warm water!

I hope he does well on it because he’s almost 12 and he’s achy and tired.
