Energy of a puppy again

By Deb E., Ithaca, NY, Verified Reviewer

Molly is an 8-year-old Novia Scotia Duck Toller rescue dog who came to me as a puppy with Lyme disease and other ailments. She started to be a bit listless the past year. She is now happily enjoying running and fetching with great energy after taking Dr. Marty’s as a "top dressing" on her regular food. Her renewed energy may also be due to our moving from city dwelling to 12 acres in the country where she has plenty of good trails and smells to explore. Whatever the root cause of her change, I’m happy for her and re-ordering Dr. Marty’s food.

Ben seems better

By Susanna H., Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Verified Reviewer

My 9-year-old mixed terrier rescue has skin problems and bites and licks his feet. I’ve spoken to numerous pet store owners and managers. My vet has given us Apoquel which used to work and recently injections to stop Ben from biting his feet. Last conversation with vet we talked about putting Ben on a hydrolized protein diet only and nothing else in order to determine what he’s allergic to. In the meantime your dried food arrived along with treats. Both all beef. I believe Ben is not biting or licking his feet as much. He loves the food and treats. We have a date Thursday to be groomed at the vets and then have the vet examine Ben’s skin and feet. If I continue to see improvement I’ll order more food from you and treats as well. Something else has changed. From the day I brought Ben home he has snored. Loudly. I haven’t been disturbed in at least two weeks. I’ve only had Ben 19 months but I love him so dearly. We are both seniors and I want us both to be healthy and comfortable. Thanks for your interest.

The kids (3 Yorkies) really loved it!

By RW S., Florida, Verified Reviewer

Our 3 Yorkies really loved the food. Unfortunately, the cost is preventing me to continue to order it. Darn! Wish it was more affordable for seniors on a fixed income. That's the breaks I guess.

You really do have a great product here and I am sure you will do yourself, very proud.

Glad I was able to at least try it.

Take care.

Milo

By Diane E., Maryland, Verified Reviewer

I have a 10-pound, year-old Havanese who is a very picky eater. He just finished his second bag of Dr. Marty's food. Since starting it, he has always eaten all that I give him. I give him Science Diet dry food in the AM and 3/4th cup mixed with hot water of the new food at supper time. Since starting the new food he has gained 2 pounds, has regularly formed stools and is full of energy.

Milo is a pet therapy dog in nursing homes and schools.

I have 2 bags left so we are good for a while but I do find that the product is pricey.

Dogs' coats are clearing up.

By Donald W., Fort Collins, CO, Verified Reviewer

Our doxie’s fur was showing lots of bald spots. In the 6 weeks, they have been on this food, his fur is growing back. They really like the food and are doing much better. We highly recommend it.

Excellent food - a bit expensive

By Mike R., Colorado Springs, CO, Verified Reviewer

I was becoming increasingly concerned about the food I was giving my dogs and news stories that changed regarding what was good and what was not for canine feeding. My Labrador began experiencing almost constant skin itching, and my other, bloating.

I first, switched to grain-free, then limited protein over a period of a year. I then decided to try raw with vegetables, fruit, and some limited grain. Dr. Marty's ingredients fit the bill. I tried the brand, and it appeared to help minimize both dogs' issues. I like the food, but realize I can't afford to regularly feed them the food. I really like the mix of ingredients, and may use it as a supplement along with other less expensive kibble. Thanks.

Our Shih Tzu loves Nature's Blend!

By Paul G., Florida, Verified Reviewer

Though we received our order of Nature's Blend about 6 weeks ago, we have just started mixing it in with our dog's old food this week. Abby, our Shih Tzu, loves it!

We had a lot of Hill's Science Diet canned food, a brand I used to consider premium, to use up before beginning Nature's Blend. At 14, Abby has become ambivalent about eating. She often left 1/3 to 3/4 of her food untouched. When we introduced the true premium dog food from Dr. Marty, her appetite was so stimulated, she ate every bit of both foods and licked the bowl spotlessly clean.

It is too soon to say for sure, but she seems to be a bit more energetic, alert and enthusiastic. At the very least, it is nice to not be feeding her the bad stuff you claimed was in her "premium" food. I looked, Dr. Marty, it was there. And her "premium" food was 85% water!

Thank you very much.

My fur baby likes it. He eats it as a topper.

By Barbara T., South Carolina, Verified Reviewer

I started Dude off using it as a topper to his regular food. He now eats it alone. He is rotten so I hand feed him. He really thinks it is a treat.

He is young so we were lucky to find Dr. Marty before we started to see age-related problems.

Really excited!

By Amanda M., Dracut, MA, Verified Reviewer

Although I ordered Dr. Marty’s food a month ago, I was going on vacation and didn’t want to start it until I got back so the 4 stars instead 5 is simply because my 3 dogs (2, 5 and 13-year-old Schnoodles) have only been on it for a week. My oldest has a very sensitive stomach and he always issues switching food so I was nervous about the switch. He’s been awesome! No diarrhea or throwing up, not even once. My other 2 haven’t had an issue either. Because it’s just been a week, I haven’t noticed any other changes but I’m optimistic and very excited to see what the future holds!

Diarrhea

By Nathalie G., Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Verified Reviewer

My dogs love the new food but they have all the time diarrhea, the color of their pooh is very dark, their tummies hurt, there's some noise.

Should we cut the food with the previous one?

Maybe it's too strong?

I just don't know!

By Diane F., Palm Coast, FL, Verified Reviewer

I have a 13-year-old MinPin who had surgery on both rear legs due to patellar luxation. Although she doesn't seem to be in pain (unless she is on a slippery surface and falls) she spends most of the day asleep and she has lost interest in playing and doesn't like to walk. I was hoping that Marty's food would make her more energetic and playful. She has been on it for about a month. She loves it and is an enthusiastic eater. But I have not seen much change in her energy level or playfulness.
