Ginger loves Nature's Blend

By Finita S., Old Bridge, NJ, Verified Reviewer

My dog usually doesn't eat dog food. I feed her chicken only. I wanted to try something different, so I can have a food that can travel with us.

I liked the fact that all the ingredients are natural. When I first gave it to her, she ate the whole handful. When I gave her more she ate that too. As long as I sit and put the food in front of her she gobbles it down. I am giving it to her right from the bag. I am not adding any water to it. She loves it right from the bag. Why change anything!

I have found that she has more energy and wants to play more. I am very glad I found this product.

I have already bought three more bags.

Length of Use: Less than 3 months

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Pros and Cons

It is all natural, no fillers

My dog will eat it and enjoys it

It is easy to carry when traveling

You do not have the normal dog food look or smell

I liked that it is made of real chicken, turkey, beef and vegetables, these are things I was regularity feeding her

The price is a little high for a 16 oz bag

Gracie Joy absolutely loves this food!

By Linda C., Madison, OH, Verified Reviewer

Gracie is a rescued two-year-old Havanese little girl. She's always been really picky about what she eats. Often she would wait to see what she could beg from me, didn't work by the way. When she couldn't get what I was eating she would eventually eat her food. But never eagerly or as soon as I put it down. She loves her new food! She asks me for her breakfast and her dinner, which is amazing because before she only ate her dinner, never her breakfast. We will be customers for life! Oh, and Gracie says to say thanks!

Length of Use: Less than 3 months

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Pros and Cons

Easy to feed

My dog really loves it

Coco’s Gourmet (Doc Marty) Seasoning

By Jill M., Ripon, WI, Verified Reviewer

Coco (my 10-month-old Yo-Chon), has honestly re-discovered her daily food. At supper time, I grab a small handful, mix it with a bit of warm water, and then mix in a bit of her regular, grain-free dry food, and she seems to thoroughly enjoy her meals again. I hope it lasts! And, since I’m a widow who can’t presently work, I hope I’m able to continue to buy it. Thank you for her yummy, healthy food!

Length of Use: Less than 3 months

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Pros and Cons

I like that I can use it as a sprinkle add-on

I like that it’s easy and seems to smell good

Mostly, I love that my doggy-baby loves it

The bag that I purchased is smaller than I expected

Maybe make a variety with smaller pieces?

Make it available in pet stores!

My 7-year-old Yorkie no longer needs the prescription diet recommended by the vet and is thriving!

By Kathy G. , Mahwah, NJ

My Yorkie is extremely picky and I was feeding Hunter a high-quality (and pricey) diet. He was having recurrent intestinal issues. The vet bill totals for 4 months alone were over $2,000.

The vet recommended Prilosec every day and a prescription dog food for intestinal issues. Only one company makes this “special” food and it is pricey! I avoided further costly vet visits; however, I didn’t think this diet was actually healthy and Hunter’s appetite was still off. (I also got an appetite stimulant, which was just somewhat helpful).

When I read the ingredients in the prescription dog food, I was dumbfounded, especially considering the cost. It contained water, pork and chicken by-products, to start with! (Not what I want to feed my dog!) I was searching for a better, healthier food and I decided to try Dr. Marty’s Nature’s Blend because I believed the nutritional content was a better choice.

Hunter has been eating this for a month now. He loves this food and his appetite is no longer a concern. I also believe Hunter is more active and alert. I also noticed that his bowel movements are firmer and more normal. I totally believe in Dr. Marty’s whole food blend. Hunter hasn’t had any intestinal issues so far and I think this is the best choice for Hunter! I’ll continue to evaluate and think he will continue to benefit! Thank you, Dr. Marty.

Length of Use: Less than 3 months

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Pros and Cons

The nutritious ingredients.

Hunter’s appetite has noticeably increased and he loves this food.

Hunter seems to be thriving and hasn’t encountered intestinal issues.

The food is expensive.

Good, stinky, expensive

By JoAnn H., Rotonda West, FL, Verified Reviewer

I have 2 dogs, they are sisters. One loved it the other would not touch it. The small bag was not enough for one month for just my one fur baby, therefore it is way too expensive. I can feed them the meats we eat with veggies with lower cost.

Summary: good, but the expense outweighs the quality of the product.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Too costly

By Raymond K., Arizona, Verified Reviewer

It is too costly to feed my dog entirely with this product. Will take some time to determine if my dog's health improves with this product.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Company Response from Dr. Marty Pets

Hi Raymond, Kat from Dr. Marty Pets here. Thank you so much for your review. If you find that Nature's Blend is too costly, we recommend using it as a topper on your pet's food! It's still a great way for your pup to receive key nutrients. We do also run sales fairly often! Please call our Customer Service Department at (800)-670-1839 to see if we have any deals at the moment. I hope this helps! Please feel free to shoot me an e-mail at Kat@drmartypets.com if you ever have any questions.

Good product, but too expensive.

By Frank d., British Columbia, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I have two poodles, so I ordered three bags of your dog food to give it an honest try. I use it half and half with a raw meat and my dogs love it and almost licked the bottom out of their bowls, so as far as likability is concerned it passes the test with flying colors.

However, it seems this product is made in Canada, but I have to order it from the USA in US currency. This makes the product a very costly item for me and therefore I am unsure whether to continue its use due to expense.

I gave it a 4-star rating only because of the cost.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My Poms love Dr. Marty’s chow!

By Michelle C., Houston, TX, Verified Reviewer

I have two Pomeranians; a one-year-old and a 5-year-old. Both were suffering from allergies that made them very itchy. They were scratching and biting their paws all of the time. My local vet thought they were suffering from food allergies and recommended a prescription diet. My pups did NOT like the prescription kibble (it was also very expensive) and the itching continued. My older dog is a "Hoover" (like the vacuum) and will eat almost anything - when she turned her nose up at the RX food, my husband encouraged me to switch their diet immediately! I happened along Dr. Marty’s video and figured why not try it?

We have almost finished the first bag but already I can tell the dogs are thriving on it! The puppy took one day to start eating it without encouragement (he prefers it dry) and our "Hoover" gobbled it up on the first meal (she prefers moist) and wanted more. Both pups have stopped itching completely and only the puppy still nibbles on his paws on occasion! And their fur is shiny and lush. What I’ve noticed is different and like about the food is when I crush the freeze-dried kibble between my fingers, it is soft and smooth (without a strong odor). Other freeze-dried food that I used to use for a topper felt sharp and hard between my fingers (it was not human grade so must have been some unfortunate bits mixed in, yuck!).

I feel confident going forward with Dr. Marty’s dog food. And excited to see what other positive changes I with observe in my pups! Thank you, Dr. Marty!

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Dogs can’t wait for it

By Karen B., Tallahassee, FL, Verified Reviewer

Literally our dogs can't wait the three minutes you are supposed to let it sit before feeding. They do a dance and hop around. Each of them love it and I feel good knowing they are not eating that slop the major brands push. Yes it is expensive but I feel it’s worth it! I had no idea what was allowed to go into standard dog food before I listened to Dr. Marty, I was stunned. FDA should be ashamed.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Loose stools

By Bernadette C., Bradenton, FL, Verified Reviewer

My dog loves the food but the only problem is that his poop has become extremely loose. Will this improve when he takes it for a while? Still giving him his dry food mixed with Nature's Blend.

Dogs like the food

By Tammy P., Sheridan, WY, Verified Reviewer

Our fur babies like the dog food. However, it's out of our budget range. If our budget changes then we would like to buy this more often. To make this stretch we are adding a little at a time to their regular food.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
