Will only work if farmers step into the 20th century.

By Chet , Troy, NY

It saddens me to say that many of my fellow farmer guys and gals have as much internet experience as their crops and livestock. A website dedicated to rural folks is a bad idea to begin with. "City folks just don't get it", you know what city folks get? Technology. I had high hopes for this site but the members lack the cognitive skills to answer an email.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

City Folks Scamming Country Folks

By Richard , Chicagoland Area, Illinois

The greater part of what appear to be profiles on the site are just abandoned and no longer used by the people that created them. The idea is for the site to appear to have more members than it actually does. Someone sits at the other end of the computer a sends you messages from fake profiles to tell you that to read the email or message you have to upgrade to premium membership. In my opinion, this is a scam designed to get the money out of you leaving you only to find out that the person emailing you does not actually exist.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Don't waste your money

By Pamela Marrow , PA

I joined this site hoping to meet a man who shares my love of nature and living in the country. What I found was about 90 percent of the profiles are non-paying "standard" members. Why they go to the trouble of writing a profile and posting pictures, when they can't even send or receive mail, is beyond me. I'm guessing most aren't smart enough to even know that they can't do anything but lurk on the site and send flirts. And it's really even harder to understand why someone who is serious about finding their perfect match, won't spend $13 a month to even try. I wouldn't join this site again if they paid me the $13 a month.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

What a rude and dishonest site

By Karen , Lee's Summit MO, Verified Reviewer

This site is a joke, I don't think most of the members are real. I canceled my membership six weeks before it was ending and they billed me and refused to give me a refund. I plan to tell everyone what a rip off this site is.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

No good

By Valerie Martin , Westport, MA

Do not give this site your money. Then they require more money as you attempt to communicate with other members. I think it's deceptive in my opinion and doesn't even deserve a one star rating.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Rude, Incompetent & Information Endangered

By Shelley Seibolt , Kansas City, MO

Anyone can put information about you on this site. They have no qualified people to assist you with this or even look into the situation. They are rude, incompetent and your information could be endangered. Do not use this site.

They lost me

By David Zimmerman , Boise, ID

I've been going along good for a couple days as a paid member and they suddenly lost my profile page. I contacted them to retrieve a user name and it was a completely different name for an unpaid member. The emails to resolve issues go nowhere and there is no customer service phone.

Do not use Match.com either. They guarantee you'll find a match in 30 days or your money back. The hook is, you have to call Match on the 23rd day of not finding your match.

Screw Match and Farmers Only.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Bogus!

By Kate , Dallas, TX

So many things started do not to add up... profiles that felt phony, supposedly huge numbers of members online at once, etc. One thing I do know, they're greedy for your money, like any dating website, having now made it impossible for Standard Members to see who has viewed their profiles and who has sent flirts - info which used to be easily accessible up to about a week ago. That's a greedy way to squeeze the subscription money out of Standard Members. Oh yeah - actually met two men on Farmers, both out of state, BOTH with SERIOUS mental problems - one was medicated, one was NOT. He could have been dangerous if crossed. Beware, trusting lady souls: there are flakes on this website like any other. Don't think country folk are any more angelic or less predatory than evil city slickers. They just don't spell as well!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Scam

By Farmer Sue , Dandridge, TN

I am convinced that they hire "teasers". I received an email from the perfect mate just seconds after I submitted my credit card info. Since then, I have been in communication with a person who I can tell from their style of writing, grammar, and word choice, are actually two different people. They appear to work in shifts, one emails from about 10:00 pm to about 9:00 am. Then the idiot's evil twin takes over. The night shift person is always apologizing for things that the day shift person said. This person claims to be from TN but the emails come from a domain in Mountain View, CA. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Be wary.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
