Thiefs

By Penny Rogers, Verified Reviewer

I canceled my subscription 3 days prior to it ending, because most the men on this site didn't interest me. They automatically took out a renewal fee. I had gotten a hold of "Jack" and he emailed me saying that I should of canceled before the renewal date and that he is sending my request to a "board" to review it to see if I can get my refund, because there is no refund once the membership is renewed. I told him that I didn't renew, but I have heard nothing back. Isn't there any legal action that can be brought against this web site for fraud?

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Refund

By Denise Bordoni , Chicago IL

I hate to even give these people one star. Crooks. They act like all these people are members, but are not. Beware. Asked for a refund less than one day later. Was told I would get the refund. When I got the credit card statement the charge was still on. I called and talked to a supervisor. She told me good luck getting a refund. Beware. When they told me I would get the refund, they also made it so I could not get on their web site. Any one else having problems with them contact me: deeliz1 [at] att [dot] net.

Company Response from FarmersOnly Media Inc.

Sep 1, 2015

Unfortunately, Denise is not telling the truth. If you have a reasonable request and concern, we will gladly address it. Denise used the site very actively and made contact with others using her paid privileges for more than 4 days, including sending out her phone number to other members. Moreover, we never restricted her access to her account at any point. We love to help all of our users in any way we can, but sadly for Denise, she misrepresented her activity on the site and tried to force us to do something that is unfair to other users and against our terms, as clearly stated.

Not Worth It

By Andrew, Verified Reviewer

You can send messages as a premium user, but only other premium users will be allowed to see them. It's impossible to contact the people you actually want to contact. They claim that people can send and receive flirts (stock messages without any contact info) for free, but non-premium users aren't allowed to see those either. I consider it to be a scam, because you pay to be allowed to send messages, only to find out later that people aren't allowed to read them.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Farmers Only is very misleading

By Frank Farmer, North Georgia, Verified Reviewer

The Farmers Only site does not work as their FAQs indicate for Standard Members. The site says a Standard Member can send and receive flirts, but that is NOT true. If someone sends Standard Member a "flirt", the Standard Member cannot see the flirt nor who it came from. The website FAQs clearly say you can use flirts to see if you and another person are interested in each other before paying for an upgrade to communicate further via personalized messages; however, that functionality absolutely does NOT exist.

The Farmers Only support team says that the content of a flirt is "premium content" and you "must upgrade to see the flirts you have received". This information I received from their support staff totally contradicts the website FAQs. I have tried several times to get help from Farmers Only support and have pointed out that their response contradicts the website FAQs, but they keep sending the same response quoted above.

It appears that Farmers Only is merely a scam designed to force people to pay them too much for too little. Another interesting fact: there are very few farmers on farmersonly.com; actual farmers are a very low percentage of their membership, which is also extremely misleading. This makes it very difficult for real farmers to sort through, especially as a standard member.

I have a friend that sent in a recommendation to Farmers Only asking for a new searchable field added that indicates whether or not someone is actually a farmer; they have denied that request. This site is a huge waste of time and is very misleading to actual farmers, and their support team has one job: to tell you to upgrade and pay.

This site sucks

By Shari B., Wyoming, Verified Reviewer

This site sucks. I went on this site to meet someone. You have to make good money to be on here. No one ever emails you or texts you back, nothing. They all just view your profile and FarmersOnly sends me an email saying oh look who viewed your profile. This site is crap. They never answer you back. Really, they took my money and for what? So I could email and sit and wait and never hear from anybody? Whatever. I want a refund, this site sucks.

What a rude and dishonest site

By Karen , Lee's Summit MO, Verified Reviewer

This site is a joke, I don't think most of the members are real. I canceled my membership six weeks before it was ending and they billed me and refused to give me a refund. I plan to tell everyone what a rip off this site is.

Bogus!

By Kate , Dallas, TX

So many things started do not to add up... profiles that felt phony, supposedly huge numbers of members online at once, etc. One thing I do know, they're greedy for your money, like any dating website, having now made it impossible for Standard Members to see who has viewed their profiles and who has sent flirts - info which used to be easily accessible up to about a week ago. That's a greedy way to squeeze the subscription money out of Standard Members. Oh yeah - actually met two men on Farmers, both out of state, BOTH with SERIOUS mental problems - one was medicated, one was NOT. He could have been dangerous if crossed. Beware, trusting lady souls: there are flakes on this website like any other. Don't think country folk are any more angelic or less predatory than evil city slickers. They just don't spell as well!

Where are all the farmers?

By CBT , NJ

Most of the men on here are NOT farmers. Claim to have been from farm backgrounds . Some, even many willing to relocate, as in mooch off women. A lot of 65 year olds looking for 18-30 year olds. Be very careful.

Still being billed after supposedly closing my account

By Harold, Trenton, TN, Verified Reviewer

After a suggestion of a friend, I browsed the farmers only date site. I met and chatted with a few people, after joining which is NOT free. After supposedly closing my account, which I'm not sure was completed because it was always redirected to another department which I could never get through to and several months later I am still being billed. I would like for this to stop. As most of the sites, they advertise they are free until you actually want to talk to someone. That is a scam in my interpretation. I would not recommend this site to anyone.

Hmmmm...

By Brad, Tennessee, Verified Reviewer

I just find it strange how most of the attractive woman just pop up one day, but their profile says they haven't been on in over two months. Why do they also have terribly broken English. Country girls do not make the same grammatical errors as Asian do. Something stinks on this site and it's not cow manure.
