Not worth the money

By Jen T., St. Cloud, MN, Verified Reviewer

I found most men were older, not attractive and/or very uneducated. Not for above average looking people, I’m sorry to sound shallow, but I’m just being honest. Many men were not true farmers or country folk. It’s not with the fee they charge, you would be better off using Tinder.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Scam For Sure

By Cheryl ,

Several things have raised my eyebrow to question the legitimacy of this site, very subtle things, but still questionable.

First, I find it very strange that the number of members online they show on their site is 3-4 times more than other bigger dating websites, like Match.com. I think they just make up a number, or this could possibly be the count for all their members, not just the ones online.

Several months ago there was a problem with their sorting. When I chose to sort by distance so I could just see the members in my area first, there were members from other states and all over the country showing up first. When I asked support about this, they said "it will work itself out", and eventually in 2-3 weeks it did. But that tells me they have Mickey Mouse programmers who don't know how to administer a database.

I saw one members profile who said he was getting off the site because he was getting email responses from members who said he had contacted them, when in fact he never did. He said there were several of them.

At one time I was a paid member, but am not now. My membership expired a couple weeks ago. Within the last few days my profile shows that there has been 30-40 more profile visitors per day than I have ever had. Now don't tell me that was not instigated FO, or not even real at all. Just a baiting tactic by the website to get me to rejoin.

And last but not least, do not go on an international vacation and expect to have access to the website. They block all foreign ISPs. I guess they assume if your on their website then you don't have the money, class, culture or desire to travel out of the US.

All these things added up together smells scam.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Don't join, don't make a profile, not worth it.

By Jamie , Oklahoma

So I had been a standard member for months till I finally was like maybe I'll give it a shot, huge mistake.

Before I go into what happened don't actually join the site unless your Looking for or wanting 99.9% perverted, demanding, rude people. I've never seen so many disgusting messages.

So I decided to join just to see what it was truly all about. Well my inbox was full of perverted messages. I did reply to a couple that did seem ok. Well one guy came off nice so I decided to give him my number and he wanted a photo so I sent him one and he demanded more like a creepy person.

The day after I had join, I wanted to cancel my membership and I also deleted my account. So I contacted FarmersOnly to get a refund & have been trying to get a refund since. They are money hungry hateful people just like most of the members on their site. They say they won't put up with disgusting people sending gross messages or being perverts but they wont give a refund to a person if that's the reason they don't want to be a part of the site. On top of it all, harassing rude phone calls from the employee handling my case telling me I'm not getting a refund. Due to their "policy" which they don't follow unless it's about money.

I wouldn't recommend this site to anyone!

Female users aren't real, they are just ploys

By David , Modesto, CA

Female users are just there to flirt and get men to sign up and pay for a membership. Once you actually sign up and pay the conversations stop and you are out the money.

Don't waste your money

By Pamela Marrow , PA

I joined this site hoping to meet a man who shares my love of nature and living in the country. What I found was about 90 percent of the profiles are non-paying "standard" members. Why they go to the trouble of writing a profile and posting pictures, when they can't even send or receive mail, is beyond me. I'm guessing most aren't smart enough to even know that they can't do anything but lurk on the site and send flirts. And it's really even harder to understand why someone who is serious about finding their perfect match, won't spend $13 a month to even try. I wouldn't join this site again if they paid me the $13 a month.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Don't waste your money

By Kate , Springfield Missouri

The site is a joke. I agreed to a 30 day membership. They auto drafted another month. I am disputing the charges and asking for a refund. They said somebody would call me or email me within 24 hours. It's been past 24 hours and no one has called or emailed me. I think this site is a scam. Many of the people on here never replied or hide pictures and there are even homeless men on here. Don't waste your money.

FarmersOnly website

By Dan V., Lakeland, FL, Verified Reviewer

Unless you upgrade (where you can send messages to other members) you cannot see who liked you or sent you a flirt. In the FAQ section, it says to be patient as members will eventually upgrade. If you upgrade and contact a member, why would they upgrade (so they can reply) when they STILL cannot see who contacted them unless THEY upgrade too? I've clicked on approximately 300 members profiles, and only one (YES only one!!) was upgraded. And there's no way to see if they're upgraded unless you click on their profile. It looks like idiots programmed this dating site. I have no idea how FarmersOnly is still in business. The other minor complaints people posted here are just that - minor!

FarmersOnly is a Bad Dating Site

By Karlyn Ritchie, Natchez,Mississippi, Verified Reviewer

To say that FarmersOnly is a TERRIBLE dating site is a Huge UNDERSTATEMENT. At first I could edit my profile. Then I could not. An error notice kept coming up: "Messages must be 120 characters or longer." My changes fell well within those guide lines. I tried to contact them numerous times -- NO RESPONSE. It was only after I wrote an angry email explaining my problems that I received a RESPONSE. He wrote back telling me to send him an email every time I wanted to make a change. VERY INCONVENIENT. He fulfilled this ONLY ONE TIME. I sent email after email. NO RESPONSE.

In addition I had problems uploading photo. The instructions in so-called information/customer service are very muddy.

I canceled my subscription a week short of my one month agreement. I was afraid I would forget to cancel my subscription and be charged for August. Their policy is to charge you automatically at the end of your subscription period. Do not subscribe to FarmersOnly.

FarmersOnly Rip Off

By Melanie Peschel, Texas, Verified Reviewer

Don't even go to this site. You can't even say hi to another member without paying, and once you do, your credit card is charged every month without your permission, or at least without you knowing that they are going to do that, and at the highest rate! So it stands to reason that FO knows that they are pulling one over on you because if you did want a monthly membership then you would sign up for the better rate. And worse, this is a bare bones kind of place, very few actual possible dates in your area. I was given possible dates over 1000 miles and several states away. A complete rip off. Go elsewhere.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
