I am working overseas, but saw a bottle I wanted to add to the collection back home. Ordering did have one mild glitch, which customer service contacted me to address. Then feedback, a direct email, and even with one mild glitch I am a very happy customer who got what he ordered quickly, at a good price and with excellent customer service.

I've enjoyed every bottling I've tried from Glenfarclas and the 12 is no exception. I expected a little bit of bite from a 12 year old but it takes nothing away from the flavor. Oily and delicious with a satisfying finish.

While not wishing to spend out on special single malts unless I see something at a very attractive offer price when I am in my usual suppliers in Scotland, I was very tempted by the An Cnoc 2000 offer, and quite impressed by the speed and efficiency of delivery (not mentioning the superb standard of the distillation). This was a guaranteed way of obtaining something I might fruitlessly seek for a year or more in other quarters. A superbly rich and deeply flavored spirit, brilliant on its own, and never to be spoiled by diluting!

I've been a member for over three years now, and I love it, but full disclosure: I think I signed up before you were REQUIRED to take the box you're sent, i.e. I can skip a shipment and NOT pay for it if I don't like the sound of a box.

That being said, I really do like this service, and I've found several new "favorite" spirits through it. I'm a whiskey girl, so wouldn't bother spending money on, say, an expensive (or even middling) bottle of rum, but getting five little samples is so much more doable. Okay, some of the stuff I don't like, but how would I know if I didn't try?

I am actually writing this review while sampling my latest package of 'whiskeys aged in beer barrels.' I would never in a hundred years buy such an 'experimental' type of whiskey, but I'm really surprised. No, I did NOT like the first one I tried but loved the second. It's all about the experience. Three more to go.

Some of the prices are on the high-end side, but other prices are spot on. Be sure you know what you are ordering before you order it; your local liquor store may have the exact same spirit for less. In the situations where the spirit can only be purchased online, because of the distance to the liquor store, Flaviar is a good place to order from, the shipping is quick, and Flaviar keeps you up to date on the whereabouts of your order (and when one is paying 1200 USD for a bottle of spirits, one wants to know exactly where the product is at).

My first tasting was the whiskey order with included a Bourgon, Rye, Scotch, all of which were excellent quality and taste! I chose to share with a close friend and fellow Marine...our tastes differ when it comes to our drink selections.

I chose not to do a blind taste test and instead opted to taste from A-C and after tasting reviewed the flavor notes to compare with our own nuances. Neither of us are regular Scotch drinkers but were both surprised and delighted by the selection sent! The Bourbon was also great quality but nothing out of the ordinary from a quality bourbon that we frequently imbibe. Next was the Rye, this too was impressive and will surely lead to further tastings.

I prefer to drink my whiskey "neat" and savor the experience without being influenced by any mixes, and so this was ideal for me!

My next shipment was the rum varieties. Generally, I don't drink rum like I do whiskey (neat) and therefore made this somewhat unique. Again I chose to share with my best friend for the chance to share and compare what we experienced. We started with A and finished with C. This turned out to be a surprising event! All of the selections were outstanding and we both gravitated to the darker of the tastings. We chose to rate the Rums from 1-10 and the lowest was 7.5 (Grander) and 9.25 for the darkest (Dictador), which I'm certain will be purchased separately in the near future!

I am new to the world of fine liquors and am looking to educate myself. Flaviar was recommended by a friend. As of this writing, I am very happy with what Flaviar has taught me. I have a long way to go, but feel I will be well taken care of here.

I received a coupon code to try Flaviar for a discounted rate and thought, what the heck. The cost paid goes toward a bottle of your choice. The tasting box, we could pick ourselves, but it took several weeks for it to arrive, which was a little bit frustrating. At this point, I really enjoyed the experience of receiving a tasting box, but will only continue if the pricing isn't too high going forward. The info, the choices, and the theme are all very neat.

I first joined Flaviar on a whim. The tasting boxes are nice and I have discovered several new favorites. This led to me purchasing several bottles.

In addition, a couple of my friends have joined and as a reward, I received a free bottle for each new member that I referred.
