I've been a member for over six months and enjoy browsing through the selection. However, that's the best part of the site.

The rest of the site is useless. They have a wishlist but don't notify you when wish listed items come back into stock/rotation. I can't even FIND my wishlist anymore.

There are very limited search options (new arrivals, classics and then by type), and there is no way to customize your experience.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I've been a member for over three years now, and I love it, but full disclosure: I think I signed up before you were REQUIRED to take the box you're sent, i.e. I can skip a shipment and NOT pay for it if I don't like the sound of a box.

That being said, I really do like this service, and I've found several new "favorite" spirits through it. I'm a whiskey girl, so wouldn't bother spending money on, say, an expensive (or even middling) bottle of rum, but getting five little samples is so much more doable. Okay, some of the stuff I don't like, but how would I know if I didn't try?

I am actually writing this review while sampling my latest package of 'whiskeys aged in beer barrels.' I would never in a hundred years buy such an 'experimental' type of whiskey, but I'm really surprised. No, I did NOT like the first one I tried but loved the second. It's all about the experience. Three more to go.

I signed up myself and a friend as a Christmas gift last year. Getting a tasting box delivered every three months has been a lot of fun. We line all of them up and judge them like criminals in Mega-City One. Then we pick a winner, and it's usually me.

We also decide which sample we liked best and order up a bottle for the end of year winner's circle.

As a malt whiskey drinker, I find the description of what to expect taste-wise is extremely helpful. The reviews mean I can buy with confidence, which means I don't waste money on what I don't like the sound of. I would recommend Flaviar to everyone from no matter be you an expert or a beginner like myself.

Flaviar supplies the best and highest quality of small distilleries in the best part of the world for these whiskeys, brandy, and beer.

My review. I am not a drinker, per say, but I like what they have at different times and they don't cater to just the higher-ups. That's what I like. We can sit at the laptop and just laugh at some of the names and designs, and then they have great prices so we appreciate the fact that the retired working class person can have a choice of fine drinks, thanks to them.

The website was easy to navigate and provided excellent descriptions of what to expect in the spirits available. Flaviar has provided me access to a wide variety of tastes and choices. This is my second order. Each time I have been impressed with the results.

I have made a number of purchase of whiskeys that I could not find locally. Flaviar's selection is limited at any given time but is always changing and 'good stuff' turns up quite often. They also have very rare spirits.

Flaviar ships from the US so the shipping prices for whiskeys from Ireland, Scotland, etc. are better than overseas vendors. Their shipments are always well-packaged and delivered is a very timely manner.

Their service is excellent, and I recommend Flaviar without reservation.

The single distilleries that Flaviar has found and has gotten single batches from them are the best tasting liquor I ever had at a reasonable price. Flaviar finds the little places that normal bars and even high-end bars would not have. Keep it up Flaviar.
