It stopped working

By Jamie Jones, Dallas, TX, Verified Reviewer

I've had my Flawless for about five months and I was loving it until today, when I had to put in a new battery and it just stopped working!

I followed the Flawless directions and changed from their battery to a Duracell AA, and now it doesn't work and won't even turn on or make noise! I'm so sad. Any suggestions on how to get it back working?

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

It's not what you think...

By Susan Padilla, Minneapolis, MN, Verified Reviewer

I was curious about this product. How does it work? There is no explanation on any ads or websites that I could find.

It was on sale at Walmart, so I bought one to try.

Here's what I found:

Painless? Yes.

Use it daily? You could.

Does it remove hair? Absolutely!

How does it work? It's a tiny electric RAZOR, ladies!

It's not discreet. It's noisy. You can't use it anywhere unless you want everyone around you to know you're shaving.

As soon as I opened the package and got a good look at the business end of it, I knew it was an electric razor. The insert in the package giving instructions to reorder the blades confirms, it's an electric razor.

So, if daily shaving of your facial hair is your thing, then this is most likely the product for you.

I'm going to stick with plucking and waxing.

Disappointed

By Mary, California, Verified Reviewer

In the beginning, I thought it was a great product, but after using it for a few months, I am so disappointed because my facial hair is growing faster and thicker, it's like shaving with a man's shaver.

Not great

By Sandra Lyle, Scotland, Verified Reviewer

I bought this thinking it was more of an epilator rather than a shaver. It's a shaver, and like some others, I find next day I have a stubble just like a man! It might be OK for a quick fix, but I have gone back to plucking. So girls, save your money and don't buy it.

Does it make your face flawless?

By Valerie C., Birmingham, England, Verified Reviewer

I was not too sure if it would work, but I thought that if I didn't try it, then I wouldn't know one way or another. So after purchasing one, I was eager to try it.

Yes, it does cut the hair and was very easy to use. However, it did leave fine stubble.

So does Flawless leave my face flawless? In one would - NO.

I am very dissapointed.

Not what it was hyped up to be

By Mary W., Greensboro, NC, Verified Reviewer

While the Flawless system is like a nose trimmer shaped like a pen and is painless, and semi-does its job, it is not quite what it was hyped up to be, nor as good as it was advertised. It gets rid of unwanted hair, for the most part, but doesn't remove the smallest hairs that it leaves behind and you end up having to go back over with tweezers. I had to go back over with tweezers several times because the hair it left behind ended up looking like I had blackhead acne all over my eyebrow line - and I have never had acne at all even as a teenager. I wasted $19.99 at Walgreens when I could have just gone to my nail salon and paid $10 for my eyebrows to be waxed and had better results, which is what I normally do.

Was excited

By Candy M., California, Verified Reviewer

Sure it gets the job done, but you have to use it every day. My upper lip hair started coming out thicker and much more noticeable. My eyebrow hair has the same results.

Before using this product, I would wax my eyebrows and every few days pluck them. Now using this product I have to pluck EVERY single day and am not satisfied. My eyebrows were better before.

Not sure what the fuss is about

By Marg H., United Kingdom, Verified Reviewer

I own one of these. I can't understand what the fuss is - it's basically a lipstick shaped shaver. It is discreet and useful for use in an emergency, but in common with most shavers, you get a smooth skin - initially - followed by stubble within a day or two!

I have fair hair and fairish skin, so I don't think I'd regard my hair growth as a challenge.

As I say, it's quite discreet, so it may suit some people in certain situations.

Not entirely sure I can recommend it, but as the choice is yes/no, I'll say no, as it's spent most of the time forgotten in a drawer. The choice is yours though.

Very expensive for such a disappointing result

By Wendy H., New South Wales, Australia, Verified Reviewer

I had such high expectations for this product to remove my slight facial fuzz (it is fine and light hair, not heavy and thick) and the few facial hairs I have. It took AGES to remove the upper lip fuzz, and not very successfully either. I had to keep going over and over the same areas because the blade was so ineffectual. Practically useless on the few coarser hairs I have, so I will continue plucking them. The unit actually starts to heat up and smell funny after only a couple of minutes. Absolute waste of money. Much better (and cheaper) results from an ordinary razor.

Disappointed

By Nubia M., Illinois, Verified Reviewer

I bought my Flawless facial hair remover about 1 month ago. I used it about 3 times. It worked well, but when I went to use it again it did not work. It wouldn’t turn on. I thought the battery was out, so I placed in a new battery, and it still didn’t work.

Everyday

By Eva C., Illinois, Verified Reviewer

I have to do it every day and who has time for that. I'm better off waxing, I may take longer but at least it's not every day. Also the top came off, I put it on but it comes off as soon as I turn it on.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
