9.5" pans

By Susan Spencer, Inverness, FL, Verified Reviewer

My pans were fine until last week when I made steaks, and the pan would not come clean. I hand washed it and used a dishwasher also, but with no results. This pan is terrible. The other one I have is so far so good, but this one I'm disappointed in. I want them to contact me.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Just received

By Karen, Quebec, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I just received my Gotham Pans and am not impressed so far. I ordered them after seeing the commercial. It was approximately $220 Canadian for the following:

1. 11.5-inch Grill Double Reversible. Damaged, the finish has come off.

2. The Double Grill, same as above but larger. The finish is damaged.

3. 9.5-inch frying pan. The edge has a serious nick!

4. 11.5-inch frying pan with lid.

5. 12.5-inch frying pan with lid.

In the agreement inside the box it says that if anything is damaged during shipping, they are not responsible. They could have packed it better!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Save your money, buy American

By James Schimpf, Texas, Verified Reviewer

I bought a set of pans, and they worked for about 20 days, but then started sticking. NEVER buy anything from out of country. These things are a ripoff.

I wanted to give "0" stars but wouldn't let me.

The worst pan ever

By Maria, Reston, VA, Verified Reviewer

Do not waste your money on it! Every single thing I tried was stuck. It is easy to clean, though (once it cools down) but very frustrating. I had enough, so mine ended in the trash.

Thank you Daniel Green and Emson. There is a TV Show for you: American Greed. Liars!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Terrible pan

By Susan Rodd, Nevada, Verified Reviewer

I ordered this pan from Publishers Clearing House. I could not wait to use it. But to my horror, everything stuck to it. And the pan would not clean. I had to scrub it. Very disappointed!

9-inch Gotham Steel Pan

By Roger Faulconer, Texas, Verified Reviewer

This is a bad deal. I followed the instructions many times, and most everything sticks unless you use a lot of oil. I bought it so we could eat healthier, but I might as well use my old cast iron skillet. I won't buy anymore pans like this. Don't anyone else buy any of their products; they are junk.

Stick and warp pan- Gotham

By Terry, Belleville, Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

With this pan I got nothing but problems with making eggs; they stick. Also, there is a warping of the pan. Come on people, what are you selling? When advertisement says they slip right off, that is BS. Terrible product. May try it again, but do not know. Thanks.

Very disappointed

By Jennifer Desrosier, Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I received the Gotham pan as a gift and was so excited. I used it twice and my eggs completely stuck to the frying pan. I even took a picture because I could not believe it.

Brand new definitely did not work, and I would definitely not recommend wasting your money!

A very unhappy customer.

Waste of money!

By Royal Connell, Pensacola, FL, Verified Reviewer

What's seen on TV is a lie! The warranty is 990 days, and by 100 days the pan sticks worse than my old Boy Scout mess kit aluminum. Do NOT fall for their claims. I've never found a pan which bacon sticks to, until now. And even with bacon grease in the pan, eggs stick like nobody's business. Complete and utter waste of money!

Worst product ever purchased

By John MacEachern, Middleton, Nova Scotia, Canada, Verified Reviewer

My wife and I got sucked in by the TV commercial and bought all three sizes of the Gotham Steel frying pans. Food stuck to them from day one. You can't even scramble an egg in one without leaving half the egg stuck to the pan, and then it takes steel wool to get the pan clean again. It is a total rip off!

Now we're trying to return them, and there's no number to call. Worst product ever!

Disappointed

By David Ferrari, Burlington, Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I saw a great ad on TV regularly. As I love cooking, I went out and bought a 9 and a 1/2 inch plus the lid at the Showcase store.

After cleaning it, I was excited to use this new pan. The first thing I made was an egg. The egg did not move and was stuck to the bottom of the pan. I had to scrape it off with a plastic spatula, and the egg broke. I was disappointed.

I tried again the next morning but drizzled olive oil first and cracked another egg, and the same thing happened; even with the oil, it stuck to the bottom. I tried searing a steak, and the steak's spices all stuck hard on the pan. I cooked chicken and got the same thing.

To clean I have to soak the pan first and use some muscle to clean it instead of the paper towel wiping everything off easy as you see on TV. I lost my receipt and went to exchange for another, and they refused. I am disappointed. I DO NOT recommend this product.
