Best non-stick ever!

By Maryann Smith, Indiana, Verified Reviewer

I love my entire set of Gotham Steel. They have even heat, and clean-up is a snap! The only problem is that they are heavier than other non-stick pans. The large pot filled with anything is hard on a bad spine.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great pan

By Jim Braun, Chesapeake, VA, Verified Reviewer

I love them!

I have to use two spatulas to flip an egg and it wants to slip off the pan. You need to read the directions and season the pan first.

My only con is they are not induction ready. I just bought an NU Wave induction burner and had to give up the pan.

Hot handles

By Marice Norris, Missouri, Verified Reviewer

I love the cookware set I got for Christmas. Not having to use oil to cook is great. My one COMPLAINT is the hot handles on the lids! I got them at the VA Hospital store.

Gotham Steel Pan

By Colleen, California, Verified Reviewer

I bought the frying pan (at buy one, get one free) and am pleased that they are very easy to clean, and the food cooks evenly. There must be trickery, however, in the ad about its "non-stick-ness" because I have NOT been successful in trying to fry anything WITHOUT some oil or grease of some kind.

Compared to the pricing of decent fry pans in stores, I would say it has been about what I expected, and I do find value in what I got for what I paid.

Works as advertised

By Mark, San Jose, CA, Verified Reviewer

After letting my sister "go to school" on a pan, I got a frying pan from Bed, Bath & Beyond to test it myself. I have used it at least two dozen times, and it works just fine. I have no idea what these people are doing who are reporting sticking, warping, etc. I have not experienced this at all. Frankly speaking, I like my pan a lot better than my non-stick pans.

Great pans

By Gail Keyes, Alabama, Verified Reviewer

I bought the pans straight from the website https://www.gothamsteel.com. After the first pan, I went back and ordered two more larger pans. I've had them for more than a year and the only time I use anything else is if I need an extremely small pan or something larger than the 12-inch pan.

The pans sold by Walmart, Fred's and other discount stores are not Gotham Steel; they are some other brand.

My pans do not stick, with or without butter or oil. They withstand all temperatures, wipe clean with a paper towel or go right into the dishwasher. I use both plastic and metal utensils. The only time I had a problem with scratches is when my husband put frozen stew meat in the pan and kept poking it with a metal fork. The fork did damage the pan, but I don't think it was meant to be pierced.

I would have given this a 5-star rating, but like most cookware today, the bottom is grooved, and it is hard to keep the grease out of the grooves.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Good looking and easy to to clean

By Patricia Kirby, Chicago, IL, Verified Reviewer

Given that most people will kick that heat to highest temperature possible, it may not be the pan's fault. Cooking eggs should be done to taste better and cook better at a medium to low temperature, and when I do that, they slide out of this pan. Having a background in material engineering taught me that you cannot subject the pan to high heats and then hit with water suddenly. It's called thermal shock, which damages ceramics. So perhaps the human factor was not accounted for in educating customer (also known as the stupid factor).

I bought the frying pan last year to see if I liked it and this year bought the larger set. I look forward to some great cooking this year with minimal hassle in clean-up.

Have a copper pan

By Chris Bridges, Wayne, OK, Verified Reviewer

The only thing I can say is, do not try to cook French toast in one, burnt cheese may come out, but burnt cinnamon does not. We enjoy the pan for everything; we love to cook. My wife and actually considering buying a few more for our kitchen.

Keep temperature low

By Joan May, Virginia, Verified Reviewer

Mine doesn't stick, but my sister in law told me to never heat the pan above medium. She uses high heat, and her pan was toast after a year. It developed sticky gunk along the sides that will not come off. So far, keeping the temperature low has kept mine looking and performing well. I did notice two tiny chips on the surface exposing shiny metal, so don't use metal utensils either.

Great product but handles get hot

By Bryce Killman, Cayuga, Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I have, I think, almost every Gotham Pan out there. I think it's a great product and does what it says it does. I only have one complaint. The lid handles on the pots get hot. I have burnt my hand a few times. I love the product, but there should be a warning that the lid handles get hot.

Eggs stick if no oil, butter, etc.

By John L., North Carolina, Verified Reviewer

I was happy with the set of Gotham cookware we bought until I tried to fry eggs. They stuck terribly. Not sure why though. I didn't see in the instructions where any seasoning was required. However, for what it's worth, clean up was easy.
