Gotham Steel Pans Reviews

I just read some bad reviews about these pans, but I simply love these pans! I bought the 12" and the 9" about six months ago. I use them every day, and they perform great and look great, so about a week ago I ordered the square pan with the steam tray and fry basket. I have only used that one once, but they are great! I feel bad that other people have had bad experiences, but I have been cooking for over 50 years, and I am an excellent cook, and I love this cookware.

I bought two of the frying pans as an experiment. My brother usually burns everything he makes and most of the Teflon in the kitchen is scratched and useless. Happily, we have had these pans for six months, and he cannot seem to destroy them. Yay!

I purchased the square, high sided pan. Best cookware product I've ever had! Nothing sticks. Some people have said they used non-stick spray, but the instructions clearly state to NEVER use it. I either use nothing or a teaspoon of oil, depending on the food I'm making. I do use a tiny dab of butter for eggs. That's just taste choice.

Since of the directions say not to use pointed things, and I don't use knives or metal turning forks, but I've used metal utensils, plastic, wood, you name it. No damage at all. In the month I've had this pan, there are only two days I haven't used it, and it's in perfect condition. No scratches, no warping, nothing.

Also, I've been washing it in the dishwasher with perfect results. Just read and follow the directions for perfect results. I'm going to buy more Gotham Steel pans. Love this stuff!

I bought this pan thinking it could not be very good because it was so cheap. WRONG! I have used this pan for eggs, bacon, gravy, steaks, pork chops, raspberry oat bran cookies, cornbread and biscuits in the oven and many other things. I have had nothing stick, and the clean-up was simple. I REALY love this pan!

I've had my pan for a month now and love it. It's just like in the infomercial on TV. Nothing sticks and it washes beautifully. I honestly don't understand why these other comments are so negative. It's not inexpensive, but all good pans are costly. I've used it to sauté meats and vegetables. It works wonderfully. If your food is burning maybe you shouldn't be cooking at maximum temperature. It still looks like new.

I've been very fortunate. The first infomercial I saw was for the Gotham Steel red copper steel frying pan. I kept seeing this commercial, and since the $19.95 price with free shipping was such a good hook, I bit. And then I bit again when I called to order and bought the "for just another small amount..." and got a companion smaller frying pan.

I thought that the T-Fal Professional Non-Stick pans recommended by America's Test Kitchen could not be bested. I've been proven wrong. The Gotham Steel beats the T-Fal, hands down. I've had my initial purchase for almost a year, and they are STILL going strong. I've purchased 12" frying pan, a grilling square, and a deep fryer/steamer, and they ALL work fantastically.

I think some of the bad reviews are of similar "Red Copper" pans. AND users of non-stick spray, which is a HUGE no-no.

I have six of these pans, which are different shapes and sizes. I purchased all of them locally, so there were no shipping charges.

I have never had anything stick. They are so easy to clean. I don't use metal utensils on them and never use top of the electric stove heat above medium. I believe that using high heat is what causes food to stick.

I appreciate how light weight they are as I can't lift heavy pans. I've gotten rid of my old pans.

I recommend Gotham Steel Pans. I purchased two frying pans and I love them. Everything does not stick and it's true what the commercial says. Just whatever you do, don't get too big of a head; we like prices down, made in America, and good quality, and that's what you get with these pans. They are also lightweight, and you just cannot burn anything in them. Thank you and keep up the good work.

I got these pans right after Christmas this past year, and I love them. I have no issues with things sticking. I have actually found myself cooking more on the stove and less in the microwave. I have gotten really good at cooking omelets in them. I am looking to buy two more small pots so I can cook more at once.

I've seen the negative reviews and am writing this review only because I disagree so strongly with them. I've been using a Gotham fry pan for several weeks now, and it has performed just as advertised. I have fried eggs, and there has never even been a hint of sticking. I usually use a little butter just for the taste, but it is unnecessary from a sticking viewpoint. You really don't even need a spatula because the pan is very slippery. It cleans very easily with no signs of scratching. A pleasure to cook with and I haven't needed to use my other, very good, cookware.

I got this set for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Cleans so easily. No scrubbing needed, just wipe out with warm soapy water. The steamer attachment works amazing. I love steamed veggies. I would definitely recommend this to all my friends. So thankful to my mom who got it for me.
