Almost killed me

By Patsy D York, Florida, Verified Reviewer

I was cooking grill cheese, 2 of them, and on the second one the grommets popped loose, and a piece of one flew by my head like a bullet being shot right by my ear. The ringing stopped after a few hours but the grommets are all sticking out. The pan is worthless, and I'll never buy another one.

Keep temperature low

By Joan May, Virginia, Verified Reviewer

Mine doesn't stick, but my sister in law told me to never heat the pan above medium. She uses high heat, and her pan was toast after a year. It developed sticky gunk along the sides that will not come off. So far, keeping the temperature low has kept mine looking and performing well. I did notice two tiny chips on the surface exposing shiny metal, so don't use metal utensils either.

Guaranteed pans?

By Betty Andela, Sioux Falls, SD, Verified Reviewer

Do they have a guarantee on these pots and pans?! I bought the whole set. After three months of using them, the fry pans all stick to every kind of food. The bottom of the pan is warped and don't sit straight on my glass top range. The finish (tough steel!) is coming off.

I am really upset that I even bought them. I would like my money back so I can buy a good set of pots and pans. I am so frustrated and disappointed in these pans. Where's the guarantee?

A gimmicky turd

By Morgan Hastings, Verified Reviewer

What a load of BS. Everything sticks, and I'm always using butter or oil. Nothing in the ad is accurate except the looks. The function is that of another mediocre pan. Don't but it. I am so angry because I was really looking forward to it having seen it for years before actually getting one. Nope.

Pan sticking

By Tyrone Cobb, Apopka, FL, Verified Reviewer

The was bought for a store named Bed Bath & Beyond. The price was the same as the TV ad. Two things I notice. If you fry anything that goes above the steel screws, it will stick to the screws. I noticed that meat stick as well. I called customer service to note the issue, and they asked if I was using a glass stove top, I responded yes, she said their product does not work with glass stovetops. I wanted to get a warranty replacement, but she was so rude that I decided to end the conversation. Very disappointed.

Horrible

By Troy Fletcher, Entwistle, Alberta, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I purchased the frying pan after seeing the commercial for the amazing nonstick pan. Good thing it was cheap because in less than a month everything sticks. Don't believe the professional chef on TV. I would NOT recommend this cookware!

Best I have ever used

By Roberta Seabolt, Aiken, SC, Verified Reviewer

I researched all the copper pans in my store, and all but Gotham Steele suggested using non-metal utensils. Gotham said their pan is non-stick and you can use metal utensils. My husband has ruined every other non-stick pan I have by using forks on them when cooking.

I started out with the small skillet to see for myself if it was all it is cracked up to be. To my delight, it is everything they said. I didn't buy it to fry eggs without oil, grease, and butter because I want the added flavor. I have had my pan for almost a year. I have never used non-metal utensils in it, but I like the option to use them. There was only one time something stuck, and it was my fault because I didn't watch it and the food burned, but it was easy to clean with a little more elbow grease than usual.

I love it so much I just got through ordering the 12" skillet with "free" lid. All those bad reviews must be from people who cook at higher heat and don't use oil, grease or butter. Love it, love it, love it!

Have a copper pan

By Chris Bridges, Wayne, OK, Verified Reviewer

The only thing I can say is, do not try to cook French toast in one, burnt cheese may come out, but burnt cinnamon does not. We enjoy the pan for everything; we love to cook. My wife and actually considering buying a few more for our kitchen.

So disappointed

By Joanne Coté, Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I feel robbed! I was so excited when I purchased this pan until I started cooking with it. Everything sticks. I bought this so that I wouldn't have to add butter or oil, therefore, cutting down on the calories, but you absolutely need to use butter or oil if you want your food to cook without sticking. As a retiree on a pension, this was a big waste of my money. Shame on Gotham Steel for false advertisement.

Gotham frying pan is no good

By Ashfaque Syed, Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

It is not as shown on TV. Eggs stick and so does many other food. TV show is a big scam. When I try to fry egg without oil, it sticks like hell. Cleaning is also very difficult. On average, it is not worth the price and shipping and handling cost is also a big loss.

I love it!

By Reggies Mom, Lake Worth, FL, Verified Reviewer

I have had this pan for almost one year and have had a slight problem only once. I probably had the heat too high. If you read the instructions, it plainly states that you should not use nonstick sprays and only use butter and olive oil over low heat. I even bought one for a friend and just bought myself the pasta pot. Excellent product.
