Too soon to tell?

By Sue Thomas, Miami, FL, Verified Reviewer

It took me a few days to get used to the smell, but once I adjusted (from a previous product I used), I found the smell to be pleasing. I have been using Dark Spot Diminisher for about three weeks now, and it appears that the areas I have noticeable issues with are improving. The consistency is somewhat between a serum and a gel and soaks right into my skin without leaving any residue. I use it after washing my face and before putting on any moisturizer or night cream. I’m not totally convinced yet that this is a magic fix for my aging skin, but I do like it and will continue using this product.

Spot Diminisher

By Tanya Jaco, Wisconsin, Verified Reviewer

I just finished my first bottle of Dr. Gundry's Spot Diminisher, and I would friends and family have commented that my face is "radiant" and "looks so refreshed, did I get a peel done?" So I'm guessing Dr. Gundry's Spot Diminisher must be doing something! I've noticed some of my sunspots have grown lighter, but have not gone away. We'll see what they look like after bottle two.

MD Dark Spot Diminisher

By Dorothy Harvey, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, Verified Reviewer

Two brown round age spots, one on left measuring about 1 cm. in diameter, the one on right about 1.5 cm., both situated on cheeks right next to my ears, have diminished in size and are distinctly paler than what they were, after application of this product morning and before bed. They have not disappeared entirely, however, but do not show through makeup as prominently as they did. I have used one bottle.

I must say also that very little in my diet contains sugar, so am expecting to have fewer age spots developing in future.

This product works for me in the same way as a moisturizer, and when going to use make-up, I apply it all over my face, allow it to dry, and then proceed as usual.

How it has worked

By Maureen Nolen, Newport Beach, CA, Verified Reviewer

I am pleased with the results so far. Slowly fading the most prominent spots. I haven't used it too long. I apply daily. Moisturizer and makeup applies smoothly over it. I will continue its use.

Dark spot remover lotion.

By Janet Morgan, Ooltewah, TN, Verified Reviewer

I am pleased with the results I have had so far. My spots haven't disappeared yet, but they are fading, and that is very encouraging for me. I know it will take a while as I am 76 years old and have not always taken the care of my skin as I should. I am an outdoor person, and during the summer I am out every day either gardening, pulling weeds, tending my roses, or some other chore. I do intend to take more precaution from the sun this summer because I realize (too late) how important it is to protect your skin.

Pretty good I think

By Cat Mcdonough, California, Verified Reviewer

Well, I defiantly have less brown spots, and the two in particular that I was most worried about have diminished. However, I have been a bit distracted as I have been busy. Only on some of the days do I have time to apply my application twice. In all, I feel that I have gotten my money's worth and will continue treatment.

Dark Spot Diminisher progess report

By Nancy Anderson, South Pasadena, CA, Verified Reviewer

Hello, I am about halfway through my second bottle. I think I am probably a good test case for this product.

I have taken care of my health, no drinking, smoking, plenty of sleep and healthy diet but I have rather spotty, British skin (67 years old, no bad wrinkles, just spots).

I have been diligent in using the product twice a day. I have not missed a single application since it arrived. I do like the product.

I do not expect miracles, but I do see some improvement in that while I still have to use my cover cream and make-up, I notice that the spots do not shine thru as badly as before. That is wonderful.

I should mention I have tried other products including prescription strength Hydroquinone. It did nothing at all.

This product is the first one I have found that has helped. However, I do have a couple of questions:

1) I have been using a transparent zinc oxide sunblock for several years. Can I put it over the top of this product?

2) Normally I would wear a moisturizer overnight, but since I have been using this product, I have not, for fear of diluting it. I would like to be able to use my moisturizer, but will I dilute the effects of the product?

3) How long does it take before the product does as much as it is capable of?

4) Do spots return or re-darken as soon as I take a break from using the product?

5) I plan to re-purchase it and use it as long as I can afford too.

6) I would recommend it to friends as the first product I have tried that has been any help at all.

7) Btw, very nice to use, and fresh, pleasant scent!

8) Last question: I have been using it on dry skin as opposed to damp or wet. Is this the proper way?

Thank you so much.

So far so good

By Mike Duane Ingle, Douglass, KS, Verified Reviewer

So far I like it. Three weeks in is a little early, but I must say I do believe my dark spots are getting lighter, although none have gone away yet. I have been using it twice a day. My wife agrees they seem to be getting lighter. They are nice bottles and have a nice smell. We will see over time.

The product has helped diminish dark spots some.

By Ellen Mitchell, Indiana, Verified Reviewer

I have been using the Dark Spot Diminisher for a few weeks, and I think it has helped some, so I rated it as good. I have tried so many remedies that have done nothing that I am pleased to see some results. I am hoping over the next few weeks the darker areas will diminish further with use.

Too much junk mail

By Kitty Brockmeier, Herington, KS, Verified Reviewer

After viewing their video, I was interested in trying the product, mainly due to a passing remark during the talk. It concerned tightening of skin in addition to refurbishing damaged skin. In my family, we have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome in addition to a few other genetic gifts from our ancestors. Because EDS causes a breakdown in collagen tissue, I was curious to see if this product would diminish the negative effects of EDS on skin already obviously stressed.

I am testing the product on my left arm and hand. I bought three bottles to make sure I had enough for my trial. If it is successful, I will pass the information along to family members who can use it.

So far, I have noticed a reduction in the wrinkling across the back of my hand (caused by collagen loss and skin thinning). I've only used this product for about two weeks, and have been remiss in application several times due to unusual life stressors right now (my husband of 51 years died 1/2/18, a close friend had a stroke in October and has now been diagnosed with lymphoma, my multiple handicapped daughter has developed a-fib and has to go through the shock and/or ablation procedures this week).

I'm a bit challenged by life right now, but am trying to say on a routine with the Spot Diminisher for my sisters' and niece's sakes. If this product is effective, we will be ordering quite a bit more for everyone.

ISSUE: TOO MUCH, FARRRRR too much mail trying to increase sales or tout a new product. It has cheapened their product and their reputation in my mind. I thought he was a reputable and respected doctor who had developed this product primarily for his wife. Wrong! All of the unrequested and unwanted emails have put this company in the huckster category.

Dr. Gundry, please reduce the numbers of letters you send out. I'm always interested in NEW products, but upselling creates a cheap negative image with serious buyers.

I hope this doesn't come across as curmudgeonly, but I think you need to rethink your sales techniques. What is your goal? A serious effort to help others or profit? You can have both without sacrificing your dignity.

Starting to see results

By Charlotte Roberts, Gulf Shores, AL, Verified Reviewer

I bought two bottles. I have used it now for 8 weeks. I am just now beginning to see some results. I have a couple of prominent dark spots on my face, which I really am targeting. After the first month, I was discouraged but kept going. Now I feel like I will order another bottle and see what happens. Definitely you should be consistent with twice a day use. I put it on and let it dry awhile before putting on my makeup for the day. Then again right before bed. I will report again in a month or so.
