Expensive; tastes okay but not great.

By Jeanie R., Chester County, PA, Verified Reviewer

If this were a dollar a gallon (like spring water), I would buy it just to give myself some variety. I like some of the flavors, but not all. The after-taste lingers. I bought this on a special, and when my credit card statement arrived, I found I had been WAY overcharged (to the tune of $32), but they did credit me when I complained. Bottom line is, this is ok, but not great. I used up what I had and took the flavors I did not like to work and left them in the lunch room.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Love Hint

By Tyna H., Concord, CA, Verified Reviewer

I have been drinking Hint for a few years now. I like all the flavors. I love it because it is NOT soda, or excessively sweet. Like the name says, it is slight but perfect. I have shared it with family and friends, most find it a refreshing change from high-calorie soda, juice or diet products. My favorite flavor is strawberry kiwi, but can’t find it anymore. My second choice is blackberry.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Bad customer service

By Geneo S., Pittsburgh, PA, Verified Reviewer

There was an issue with my shipping address and the order was never sent to me. I emailed them to tell them the correct address, they said ok, and never responded to me again, and I still have not received my order.

Great alternative to soda

By Madelyn C., Nevada, Verified Reviewer

Just tried Hint water for the first time, I found some on clearance at Walgreen's for 53 cents a bottle, so I bought 5 bottles. I am trying to reduce my intake of soda. I have a hard time drinking plain water. So far I have tried just blackberry and watermelon flavors. The water has a pure cool taste, even unrefrigerated, with a hint (please note that the important word is 'hint') of natural fruit flavor, I really like the blackberry flavor. The watermelon is also good. I will go back to Walgreen's tomorrow to buy some more bottles. I may have found my new favorite beverage.

Those who think that making your own fruit-infused water is less expensive obviously don't take into consideration the cost of the fruit unless you also consume the waterlogged fruit when the infuser container is emptied.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Waste of money

By Tresa H., Indiana, Verified Reviewer

I bought all 4 flavors and still tasted like it was missing that hint of fruit. Really expensive for this kind of water. I think it's a waste of money and I can't believe people are paying this much for plain water.

It's a yes for me!

By Deborah, Dallas, TX, Verified Reviewer

My husband is the type that just cannot drink something without flavoring when he is eating, so finding healthy drink alternatives to water (he thinks tea and coffee taste like dirt) is always a struggle in our house. Hint Water was recommended to me on a "try this not that" list on one of my favorite websites and I figured (shrug) why not?

I picked up a few flavors at the Whole Foods and OMG, from the first of gulp of the Watermelon flavor, I was hooked! My husband, on the other hand, hated them. We have since tried several flavors, and the only one I don't care for is the Pomegranate. He didn't like any of them, claiming they tasted "chemically." Just goes to show how everyone is different.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Hotel perks at home! This is the best stuff.

By Michelle B., Texas, Verified Reviewer

I travel a lot for work, and at many of the hotels where I stay, they have fruit infused water in the lobby. I love it, and I wanted to have it at home. For a short time, I was creating it for myself, but then the fruit I bought would go bad, and I had to make it so often. Then, I read about Hint on Facebook. I loved her entrepreneurial story, as I am an entrepreneur myself, and I decided to try it out. I started by buying a bottle at the airport, the crisp apple, and when I got home, I ordered several cases of it. I just ordered five cases for the 4th of July.

Once you connect with them, you can receive emails with special offers. I love so many of them, and I am drinking so much more water again. They are not sweet. So many of the negative reviews point this out. They are not meant to be, thus the name Hint. That is what I love about them! Watermelon is amazing. Cucumber is my favorite. Raspberry is great. My husband loves lime. I get excited every time I try a new flavor. They ship right to my door. Great through the hot summer to have on hand, and a healthy alternative.

Not much to it!

By Nancy C., Gilbert, AZ, Verified Reviewer

I did the trial order (supposedly a great price at $1 per bottle). I drink a LOT of water so thought this would be a nice alternative to add some flavor. Boy was I disappointed. When they say a hint of fruit flavor that is exactly what they meant, a hint. Not much flavor at all. I tried all 3 of the trial flavors and all I can say is I would NOT buy it again. Then I go to Sam's Club and see it for less than what the trial offer was, so I paid more than I could have gotten for locally.

I have since bought a glass with metal cover infusion pitcher and found I can make it for pennies for a glass of fruity (and you can actually taste the fruit flavor) water. Not only is it more economical, but it actually has flavor.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Tastes like regular water.

By Trudie B., Georgia, Verified Reviewer

I've recently gone on a diet and wanted to drink water (which I do not like). I used to drink flavored water but it has artificial sweeteners which of course they are not good for you. So I decided to try Hint and ordered the TV promo. I am very disappointed in the flavor! Hint is right, no flavor at all! You could smell the fruit flavor somewhat, but when it came to the taste you could not taste it at all! Soooo back to the hunting grounds I go.

The only way I would recommend this is if someone really likes the taste of just plain water and I can't emphasize enough how much I HATE water!

Nasty

By Claudia F., Winter Haven, FL, Verified Reviewer

So I purchased a few of these to try. Nasty. I bought them in my local store. The flavor is so artificial-tasting it's pathetic. When I googled "what is fruit essence", here's what I found.

The Fruit essences are intended for aromatizing of non-alcoholic beverages, alcoholic beverages, sweets, chocolates and confectionary and pastry. The Bulgarian State Standard defines the fruit essences as highly-concentrated solutions. The solutions used in the manufacture of the fruit essences are ethyl alcohol and 1, 2-propyleneglycol.

So no, it's not all-natural like they claim. Wish I would have saved the $1 a bottle I spent. You'd do better juicing real fruit and pouring it into your water. At least you'd get the vitamins and minerals from it. Yes, the NATURAL sugars as well but at least it would be NATURAL.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Hydrating

By Cindy Dow , Camarillo, CA

My first experience was on a hot summer day, grabbing a bottle of Blackberry Hint at Starbucks. That was all it took and I was hooked! I've been ordering cases, adding a variety of flavor's from their website monthly.

One year later, I'm always hydrated, drinking at least four 16oz bottles a day and have lost 17 pounds.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
