Hint Water is named appropriately!

By Elizabeth Berg, Dallas, TX, Verified Reviewer

I attempted to purchase 2 cases of Hint Water "watermelon". First, they shipped my water via FedEx to the incorrect address. Hint Water does not have a telephone number that a customer may call to log a complaint. Therefore, you must send an email.

The customer service representative told me that I gave them the wrong address. After a constant battle back and forth they agreed to send me two more cases of the Watermelon water.

I really wish I had just asked for a refund to my credit card. They call it Hint because the company "scares" the water with such a small "hint" of flavor the customer cannot taste anything but the water!

Never waste your money purchasing this product! There are so many other brands that actually have a taste of fruit.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Not worth the money

By Sue Lehde, Illinois, Verified Reviewer

It has a plastic aftertaste. Really nothing special. Not much flavor. Pricey. Once you set up a "subscription," it is very hard to cancel.

Get a Nalgene bottle, and use your own water. I have great well water. Or filter your own, add some fresh fruit, customize to your taste, and you are flavor and dollars ahead.

Smells like plastic from the bottle, which overwhelms the potential water flavor

By Susie Qute, North Providence, RI, Verified Reviewer

I ordered on 4/1 and received it today, 4/18 via FedEx. Okay, they ran out. Understood. But there is no flavor. Yes, a very small HINT of flavor but the smell of the plastic from the bottle overwhelms ANY flavor or smell. I hope I'm just super sensitive to it but at $1.75 a bottle that is very expensive plain water in my book. Kudos for the health benefits, which is what I was hoping for, but I can't get past the plastic smell. And I SO wanted to like this product.

It's nothing to rave about

By Sandi L., Texas, Verified Reviewer

Something in Hint leaves an aftertaste and leaves my mouth feeling extremely dry. Like that feeling after drinking cranberry juice or using the sweetener Stevia or chlorinated tap water. It doesn't quench my thirst so I have to keep drinking bottle after bottle and the dryness never goes away. I could taste the hint of fruit flavor, but it needs a little more, and some of the flavors taste artificial. Very unsatisfying.

Chemical taste from propylene glycol

By Nick J., New York, NY, Verified Reviewer

It has a strange kind of chemical-sweet taste and an aftertaste that lingers. It's weird. This is probably from propylene glycol that is an ingredient according to a lawsuit over the use of the ingredient. Propylene glycol is synthetic.

Taste like water

By Karleen K., New London, MN, Verified Reviewer

I wish I could say something good about this water, but I can’t. I’ve had trouble with artificial sweeteners and was hoping this product would’ve been my saving grace.

I tried the raspberry infused and it tasted like WATER! Just water. No raspberry taste at all.

I’ve made my own infused water and it tasted way better than Hint.

Watermelon flavor change

By Sherry F., Boyertown, PA, Verified Reviewer

I don't like drinking water, but found that I enjoyed the Hint watermelon water and have been drinking it for over a year. I subscribed for home delivery and have been receiving it pretty regularly. I noticed when I received the last package that the label had changed, but also the flavoring has changed. Since I had 2 bottles, one from each shipment, I could really taste test pretty accurately to notice a difference. I want to know why they did this? The new flavoring is NOT as good as the old one. What happened? It has an almost artificial taste. If this is what Hint is producing, I will be canceling my order and trying other brands. I am so disappointed. It was such a good product.

Overrated

By Vernell S. , Memphis, TN

I read many five-star reviews of this product, but those reviewers might be employees of this product. After watching the commercial with the fake firefighters, I purchased three flavors from Target to learn that there is no distinction in taste, among the three. They all have the similar taste of cold-medicine and should not be listed as a refreshing drink. Since I have them, I will finish the lot, but will never purchase any of it again. I gave it two stars as a benefit of the doubt, meaning, it is water.

Length of Use: Less than 3 months

Pros and Cons

It hit the ground running on advertising

Each bottle is marketed for $1.00

The product is not something to have about

Not worth the money

By Actuality J. , Sandwich, MA

I picked up a few bottles at the grocery store after hearing their ads on the radio. Hint needs more flavor. Tastes like plain water to me.

Not even a hint of flavor

By Anne E., San Francisco, CA, Verified Reviewer

I guess for the price, I was expecting more from Hint Water. For me, it was less than a hint of flavor; it was practically nothing. I was very disappointed.

That said, the packaging is attractive and the bottle is easy to open. Also, I appreciate the company’s effort to create a healthy drink.

Bottom line: lower the price or find a way to pack more flavor into Hint Water.

Length of Use: Less than 3 months

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Pros and Cons

I guess its naturalness

Hint water is way overpriced

No flavor

What's less than a "hint?"

By Paul Kersey, Chicago, IL, Verified Reviewer

I'm a fan of "experimental" beverages. Why buy Coke, Pepsi, or Lipton Ice Tea when you can try: Pepsi Blue, Clear Pepsi, Sprite Remix, Orbit, DNL, or New York Seltzer. What's less than a "hint." Smudge? Dash? GHOST. That's better, GHOST. Almost felt like taking it to the lab to see if there was anything else but water in there. Three stars because it's water. Water's not bad.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
