Obed and I have only had one date set up. I actually found her attractive (did not quite knock me over) but I believe now my best chances are with IJL. Yes, I want someone who I do not deserve and above my expectations that would thrill me. Why would IJL really care, because I belong to a CC with many single men 55 and over who are dying to hear that you all deliver. I will keep you posted but Obed seems to be a solid wingman.

IJL has been a wonderful experience thus far. Amy, my Match Maker, has been on spot for my match. She is very timely. She ALWAYS returns phone calls within 24 hours, sometimes sooner. She is professional, caring, and genuine. I feel she really wants you to find that special someone! She is efficient and open to hearing what the client is looking for. She is tactful. Joel was excellent! In this process, you learn that it will take time, and there have been frustrating parts about this process; however, working with Joel recently has been exciting. He is clearly passionate about what he does, and he is great at it. It was great to have some new and positive energy around the situation.

The match he set me up with was ideal; exactly what you'd expect when you do something as brave as this process is. I told him personally that he is spectacular and particularly gifted in this area. He's a special one! It is apparent that he finds fulfillment in "getting it right" for you, and I know he works hard at it.

I also appreciate how quickly he worked. He even called me after 5 pm EST, which strikes me as the type of person that works late and cares deeply about what he does, doing a fantastic job, and going above and beyond. Although these aren't for everyone, I can't say enough amazing things about Joel. I feel indebted to him for his kindness to me.

They will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you to sign up. Then thousands of dollars later when their guarantee has not been met, and you dare to complain, you will finally receive a phone call from a very condescending "manager" who will tell you how wonderful she AND her company are and maybe you should have read the fine print. Followed by, there is nothing we can do for you and have a nice day. Goodbye. If there were a way to take legal recourse I would; however, this "company" knows that after they take your money there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. Save your money!

Three months, zero dates. I was presented with quite a few toads, but decided to keep an open mind and say yes to all. No luck. Something is wrong here. Last week, I finally decided to join 3 dating websites, for the first time, and was deluged with compliments and offers to meet. MUCH better luck on a dating website. $3,400 wasted.

Looking for love? Then BEWARE of It’s Just Lunch. I will never ever use this service ever again. And I will warn anyone and everyone about it who is looking for a matchmaking service.

It costs an immeasurable and massive amount of money, and you don’t get much for it. I only went on 4 dates out of 12, they stopped setting up dates for me, they started ignoring all my calls and emails, and then they never refunded me. They are extraordinarily slow in finding people, make constant excuses for their slowness, find unattractive people a good amount of the time, and sometimes even give inaccurate information about potential matches.

Weeks and weeks can go by without even a potential match, and when you do eventually get one, whether you actually go out with the person and it doesn’t work, or you decide not to accept the date, the process of waiting and waiting and waiting starts all over again. Romantic connection is what most people want almost more than anything else, and waiting and waiting for every single potential match, and then even rarer, going out on an actual date, is extremely emotionally draining and stressful.

When you need to reach your matchmaker, it can be very hard, and when you want to reach the company, you never get anything other than the voicemail system, and no one ever calls you back. Do not waste your time, money, or emotional energy on this service.

Jayie was a gem. He took his time and matched me up with the perfect date. It was very weird, but we had everything in common right from the start and ended up in a very happy relationship within a week...unbelievable, I know, but true.

I would highly recommend Jaiye to all present and future IJL clients. He's professional and knows his business...THE BEST.
