My dog's experience with the food toppers

By Michael B., Georgia, Verified Reviewer

I'm not sure yet if the two preparations are beneficial to Sam. He seems to be scratching and licking somewhat less frequently but I can't tell in any other way if it is helping. He is only 2.5 years old so he has plenty of energy anyway. I can say that feeding him is way harder than before. He hates the taste of both supplements, the Nutra Thrive as well as Canine Boost. It seems that the Boost helps more with his issues but he dislikes it more. I have to disguise both of them by mixing them with Pedigree Choice Cuts in Gravy. Putting all of this in his food is time-consuming for me and he's banging on the door wanting in for his breakfast but I can't let him in where he can see what I'm doing or he won't eat. Also, if I don't completely mix the toppers he will leave a little pink circle of Boost plus some food at the bottom of his dish. So, results are mixed.

Nutra Thrive

By David J., Whitesboro, NY, Verified Reviewer

Our Maggie seems to be a bit more mobile since beginning with Nutra Thrive; she is a lab mix and not exactly petite. Her hips have caused her a little trouble when getting up and down. The only problem I have with the product is the fine powder, it is a little fussy when putting it on her food.

First 3 weeks

By Kris-Anne V., Connecticut, Verified Reviewer

I started Nutra Thrive 3 weeks ago. Today is March 28, 2020. I have a cockapoo.

1st week: no noticeable change, but, he loves the taste and eats all his food.

2nd week: I gave a jar to a neighbor. Her dog's coat is getting softer. My dog's poop doesn't smell so bad and I think his eyes are tearing less.

3rd week: His poop is finally consistent and healthy every day. I don't smell it anymore when I have to pick it up, and it doesn't stick to his butt anymore, so I don't have to clean it all the time.

After paying attention more to how much I clean his eyes, one eye has almost stopped and the other has slowed down quite a bit.

My neighbor's dog has less smelly poop and his bad breath seems to be getting better.

I rated 4 stars simply because I have only used the product 3 weeks and my dog seems to still be changing, for instance, his eyes running. I full plan on hopping back on and doing an update in 3 more weeks. I'm happy with what I am seeing. I don't still have my order number, but I did use PayPal if anyone needs validation.

Good product, dogs accept it readily.

By Charles M., Fresno, CA, Verified Reviewer

Started using Nutra Thrvie over a month ago. I really haven't seen much of a change outwardly, inwardly I hope it is helping her. Lily is acting the same, but I don't have a trained eye to the little nuances. She eats it readily with no issues. I have seen no side effects, from a negative standpoint. I'll keep using it, because I know it's good for her.

Great results

By Donna A., Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I was nervous my pup wouldn't like the taste after reading the flyer insert in the package. I started out with just a sprinkle. I now put a full scoop every morning with warm water, and he loves it. Biggest difference I've noticed is in his poop.

Hope this works

By Katherine T., Verified Reviewer

I bought this because my 10-year-old cockapoo breaks out with sebaceous cysts so I’m hoping this will slow down or stop future outbreaks and maybe clear the ones he has. So now it’s just a waiting game. He hasn’t finished his first jar yet. I’m so hoping this helps. The price went up so this really has to work!

Hard to say

By Amy J., Missouri, Verified Reviewer

I have 3 large dogs, 90-130 lbs. I am guessing that I am not giving them enough of the supplement to see a big difference due to the fact I am trying to ration it! They should probably be getting 2 scoops two times a day and instead they are getting 1 scoop two times a day. Even with this, I have seen a difference in the consistency of their poop and in their appetite.

We like it

By MJ M., San Rafael, CA, Verified Reviewer

I'm still undecided about Nutra Thrive. My dog eats it right up and I believe she's got a livelier step to her gait and enjoys running and playing with other dogs. Her energy is still low but when stimulated, she will engage with others.

One month in...

By Walter P., Plainfield, NJ, Verified Reviewer

So we've been giving our Weimaraners Axel (4.5 years old) and Roxy (12 years old) Nutra Thrive for a month now and we've noticed a difference in Roxy's energy levels (up) and Axel's upset stomach issues which he hasn't had really since we started the product. Another thing we've noticed is their stool looks healthier as well. So far so good, just wish it wasn't so expensive, lol, 3 containers in a month...

No more limping

By Shelby H., Kansas, Verified Reviewer

Using on two large dogs, Newfoundland and St. Bernard. Newfie has ACL type issues on both back legs, which have caused arthritis in her hips. Doctors all said she needed surgery, but had to lose 40 lbs first. This is difficult for a human let alone a large dog that spends most of the day sleeping. We live in the country, so lots of walking around daily, but when it hurts, you just don’t. So...while we work on the weight loss, I had to find something that would help her walk without the pain. Nutra Thrive seems to be doing just that.

As for the Saint, Nutra Thrive has increased her already big appetite. She is extremely active for a 5-year-old, so weight gain hasn’t been an issue, yet. I have had to reduce her dosage...it causes too much awful gas. I can deal with a bit of stink of this keeps her young a bit longer.

Both eat the same diet food, with the Newfie getting half the serving. If we can’t get her to lose the weight, at least now she can take short walks with us without collapsing.

So far, so good, not excellent yet.

By Stephanie R., Colorado, Verified Reviewer

We noticed an immediate improvement in the dog's coats, much shinier and softer. We had hoped this powder would alleviate the monthy, sometimes biweekly, trips to the vet to have the younger dog's anal glands expressed, but that hasn't happened yet. We are willing to give it a bit longer to see if this problem goes away or lessens. We have noticed an improvement in her allergies, no more chewing on her feet or ripping at her ears. This might be the end of putting her on Apoquel for the summer. The older dog has severe arthritis in his front legs, has a heart murmur, is blind, and is a diabetic. He is on multiple medications and gets insulin shots twice daily. We had hoped to see an improvement with the arthritis, not yet, but have seen an improvement in his interest in playing with the other dog and he just seems happier. I would have liked to get him off the Vetprofen and/or the Gabapentin to justify the cost of the powder. Willing to wait a while longer to see possible improvement. Let's see how it goes in another thirty days.
