PetGentle Reviews: Will It Train Your Dog?

This device has made a huge turn around in my 4-year-old chihuahua but it doesn’t seem to really phase my 4-month-old at all, which is ok because the 4-year-old is the one with aggression and a barking problem. Those that say it doesn’t work maybe you need to turn it up because like I said it works for one dog but not both for some reason. Well worth the money and I have some peace and quiet in my home now.

I tried this product as a last-ditch effort, because we love this 90% good dog. Our problem was not barking. Our dog has possession aggression. It said this product worked for bad behaviors. Well, with little perseverance, this works like a charm. My trainer said he was a bad dog because of his biting. This is now the dog we wanted! Thank you!

I have only had to use it 3 times. My 90 lbs Lab comes back to me now at the dog park instead of barking aggressively and rushing fence! All I have to do is say "easy"! I have had animal control call on me because she gets away from me, not to attack just to go see others. I really thought we would have to use shock collar, something I promised my daughter we wouldn't unless last resort! I'm so relieved and happy with the peace PetGentle has given us.

I've had the PetGentle for about a year. I have a Dachshund that loves to bark. The lights get his attention but he ignores the thing and continues to bark. How can I tell if the ultrasonic is working? I've not experienced anything good from this unit.

My 15-month-old Havanese is a bit stubborn. He gets very playful and wants to nip and jump while barking at me. I was so excited to find the PetGentle and ordered 2 of them. Well, my little Havanese had no response to the PetGentle. I noticed his ears perk up a bit for a second but I didn't seem to find him to be bothered by it and barked and tried to grab the PetGentle while in use. Therefore, I did not have a good outcome with this device. I am returning them for a refund. The company was very compliant to the return and refund. Good service.

It seems to serve 2 functions: flashlight and strobe light with red laser pointer. I have 2 dogs and neither react to the sound/whistle. It would be fine if I had a cat as they like laser pointers. My dogs don't.

This device didn't work at all with my dog, he didn't pay any attention to it at all. Waste of money for me but not saying that it won't work with other dogs.

My opinion/experience: This is a scam where they know full well their item doesn't work. They make their money knowing you will either not bother returning it, or they will advise you to let them refund you 60% of the cost and keep it, so as to "save you the hassle" of going to the post office and paying for shipping. This thing does not work at all. In my opinion, any good reviews are fake. BEWARE.

If this is ultrasonic then my dogs must be deaf. The only thing that gets their attention is the red light, and then they have to fight with the cats who are also chasing it. Did not change a thing when they were barking at the neighbors again.

We purchased a PetGentle last month. We have used it on both settings with no response. Our dog is pretty hyper, so we thought that the PetGentle would help. What should we do with our PetGentle?
