PetGentle Reviews: Will It Train Your Dog?

Purchased to use with one dog that barks and bites at your feet anytime you leave the house.

It did not work at all. It does work very well at calling my other two dogs. They hear the sound and come to track it. Sends them into a search frenzy.

Sorry, but it is a big thumbs down from me. All it did was even further agitate my dog.

This device is useless. As far as I can tell it’s a light and that’s it! Not even good enough to use as a torch. Can be used as a light to play with a cat, if you have one. Don’t waste your money. I waited 3 weeks to receive this.

Our dogs bark and jump and chase and pull, not anymore! We have a mixed breed who liked to jump and play-bite when it got around people, they were afraid and so were we, so we tried this product, what a difference, now I just show it to her and she settles down. I am no dog trainer but I am not as afraid to walk her now.

We have huskies and my daughter brings her 2 over also and they just look at me like why are you doing that and keep on doing whatever they want to do. They are well-behaved but I don’t want them barking all the time, so I bought 3 of these hoping it would help. I guess I have expensive flashlights now. I hope no one else gets stuck in the same situation!

I ordered this product in hopes of decreasing the barking from having several dogs. I ordered it based on the reviews, but looking back, they seem to be canned propaganda. I will be requesting a refund as this was a total waste of money. So disappointed, as I am looking for a product that really works. I wish I could give zero stars for the review.

I did not find this product to work at all. When I try to get my dog's attention (from about 7–10 feet away), sometimes he looks at me and then goes about doing what he is doing. Usually, he just ignores me.

I purchased a PetGentle because my neighbor's two German Shepherds continually bark at me when I am in the front yard. The PetGentle did not work for me, the two dogs just became more vicious in their barking. Not what I wanted. If I go near the fence they snarl and growl besides barking. I am afraid of them but there is nothing I can do unless one jumps the fence. I have been in touch with Animal Control.

I have a 2-year-old GSD who just wouldn't stop barking when he was outside. He also was a jumper and nobody wanted to come to our house. He is a BIG boy.

I got a static collar and it did nothing to curb his bad behavior. I thought what could I lose if this product didn't work? It was cheaper than a professional trainer and the static collar.

I only had to use the PetGentle a couple of times and my dog quit barking! He no longer jumps on people too! I don't even have to activate it anymore, I just hold it up and show it to my dog and he straightens right up. I now have a happy, content dog that EVERYONE loves to be around.

I never had a GSD that barked or jumped like he did. Now I don't with him either.
