Reviews Are All Similar

By Alison, NC, Verified Reviewer

I do not trust Piping Rock because the vitamin reviews all sound the same. None of the reviews give specifics info about the products themselves, as reviewers do on Amazon and other sites. Rather, the reviews are generic and praise Piping Rock in general.

I have ordered several vitamins from Piping Rock. I find many of them to be large, hard, oval-ish shaped tablets. They appear very chalky. I recommend consumers read reviews and decide whether they sound authentic.

Piping Rock

By Desmond Foulger, Auckland New Zealand, Verified Reviewer

This was the third and last time I will order goods from this company. I was attracted by their low prices, and my first shipment arrived on time. My second shipment had no shipping information, and I had to email them. My third shipment, which I paid DHL rates for 3-7 day shipping, had no shipping info and when I inquired, I was told it will be 2-6 weeks. So these two complaints so far have resulted in no communication.

I have no problem with their products, just their slipshod and inefficient shipping department. I will go back to my ten-year, no hassle iHerb.com. I won't be ordering from this totally inefficient company. Even two stars are too many. Not recommended.

Prices listed are not what you pay, get ready for a surprise on your bill

By Joyce, Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I have ordered several times and various items from Piping Rock. When you go on their site, it SHOULD default to your country (mine being Canada). When you order, it is SUPPOSEDLY in Canadian Dollars, but when I got my credit card bill, I was billed in American funds, so I ended up paying way more than what I should have.

I called but got no response when promised. I emailed three times and finally was told, "sorry for your luck, we have your money, so no refund was given." Shipping costs seem to fluctuate as well. Customer service does not get back to you, which makes me question the quality of their products. I will be looking for a more credible site to spend my money on.

Still testing effectiveness

By Nic Lucci, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I ordered Piping Rock Sage 1600 mg for hot flashes because sage works quickly. I tested it against another brand, and there was no comparison. Sage has a distinctive smell that can be easily identified, but this product did not work instantly like the other brand and had no smell (expiry 2019). I break open capsules to add to water or drink. Absolute waste of money.

I bought another product that is not really allowed in Canada, but I was obsessed with trying it, so I did a search and lo and behold, Piping Rock ships it to me. This particular product helps with brain health. So I took two capsules and felt nothing but my hubs said he felt it working. And his mood has been better, but is that a placebo effect?

I bought some yacon (an appetite suppressant and prebiotic) which work exceptionally well. We both love this product zero complaints.

The jury is still out on the black seed oil supplement as it is too soon to tell if it's working.

I spent a lot of time writing a couple of positive reviews that have yet to be posted, which I find strange. I also don't trust companies that only have good reviews.

Quality control and use of cheap ingredients are my main concern with Piping Rock. Their prices are great, but product safety is my number one priority. It's a hit or miss, and after reading some the reviews on here, I am a bit concerned, and I think you should be too.

Not recommended if outside the USA

By Sylvia Meller, England, Verified Reviewer

Products might be good (have not gotten my order yet), but beware if you are outside the USA as the postage does not include customs charges and you might end up with an extra £15 ($19.34) or more for a small parcel.

They do not reply to your emails

By Jose Segurado, Barcelona, Spain, Verified Reviewer

I had a problem with them. I bought some vitamins last month and they sent me the confirmation email saying they already shipped the order, but I have not received anything. I sent them a lot of emails asking about my order and they NEVER REPLY. Unexisting customer care.

Credit card issue

By Attorney MvA, Florida, Verified Reviewer

I ordered for the first time from Piping Rock in January of 2017; it is a product that is of great help to me. I wanted to order more today, March 12th, and while checking out on the website, I tried to order with my credit card number, however, Piping Rock had my ATM card on file that was a "link" and would not allow a change to another credit card. The only other option was PP, which I do not use.

Here's what's curious: I've changed banks back in November of 2017 and therefore am alarmed that Piping Rock has my NEW ATM card number. Their online chat rep upon questioning kept skirting the issue, ie., was unable to give a straight answer as to why they had my NEW ATM card number from NEW bank, why I could not change credit cards to pay for the purchase, and why I could not cancel the order without their involvement.

I cross-examined their online chat rep who after going around and around in circles never did give a straight answer, but my ATM card number remains on their system. What kind of business practices are these? Any other merchant does not send a purchase to a bank or credit card in a NANOSECOND and/or after email confirmation of the purchase. Something doesn't add up here...

Bad packaging

By David S, England, Verified Reviewer

Price and delivery were somewhat ok, but one of the three packets had a leak of the product; namely, the foil seal had a slight damage which allowed a small portion of the liquid product to leak into the bag it was enclosed in. The plastic bottle had a loose cap on top of it, and it amazes me to the point where I asked myself, "How can a foil seal be damaged if the cap was still on?" I can only assume the foil was damaged prior to the cap being screwed on.

The loss of liquid was so small it didn't bother me, but the thought of possible contamination did cause me to wonder how the product was dealt with prior to postage to a customer. In that respect, I shall contact Piping Rock Health Products to get their opinion on this matter. The item being: 6683, Pure Magnesium Oil (3 Pack) 3 x 8 fl oz (237 mL) Spray Bottle.

Don't count on getting what you ordered!

By Melanie W., Singapore, Verified Reviewer

I have placed three orders with Piping Rock. Two of them have contained the wrong items. I contacted the company, and they did nothing to rectify the situation. Ordering from Piping Rock is a lottery.

Product seems OK, but buyer beware of excessive shipping charges!

By Denise H., United Kingdom, Verified Reviewer

I purchased CLA 1000mg from Piping Rock, and can only hope it is genuine and does the job. I was shocked to receive a card from my post office to say there was an import charge of £12.73 on a £28.89 order (which incidentally included £5.89 postage charge)! As I was buying with a friend, we decided that the CLA was still cheaper than anywhere else, when we included the massive customs charge, we went ahead and paid this fee, but we learned that was just £4 was an import tax and the remaining £8 was actually what the post office charges! The post office reckons they paid tax on it coming into the country, even though I did too. What a blooming rip-off! So yeah, the company products seem to be OK, but just be aware of import duties and post office rip-offs!

Customs charges

By Derek R., Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I recently bought some products online. I prepaid the charges, including freight charges.

When I received the product after three weeks, I was charged additional money by Canada customs.

I had no idea I was buying this from a US site. In the website, the Canadian flag was displayed with letters CAD. I was even charged in Canadian currency.

The website was misleading and nowhere it showed that it was being shipped from the US.

With the customs charges added, the product is no longer cheap to buy it online.
