Best invention ever for fast fat permanent fat loss

By Deborah W., Verified Reviewer

Best ideal invented for fast fat loss. Easy, and it's permanent. All the staff and doctors there are amazing and so helpful in getting you what you want. You won't regret it. Not one real bad review, the ones that were negative was simply because they didn't follow instructions. Didn't wear their garments the proper way, didn't wait the full length of time to get the amazing results. Everyone that has had this procedure and followed instructions have cotton amazing results.

Single most horrific experience in my life

By Trista T., Tampa, FL, Verified Reviewer

I went to Sono Bello 3 years ago and I am just now finally starting to recover from the trauma of the procedure. I had my back bra roll, upper flanks, upper and lower abs done.

First biggest mistake was the doctor was not licensed to give general anesthesia. He gave me a 0.5 MG dose of Xanax for during the procedure. He was very aggressive and several times kept warning me he would have to stop with just one side done and I’d have to return in a few weeks for the other side. The pain was excruciating. I was crying and moaning and even screamed a few times. It was like electric shocks were being injected into my core. I believe he truly wanted to give me great results. That’s why he took over 2 hours removing the maximum allowed 4 liters. About half way through, the numbing agent they inject into the fast wore off and I felt everything in amplified by 10. He said it hadn’t been long enough to give me more numbing injection and couldn’t give em any pain meds. He couldn’t even give me another Xanax. He finally quit when he filled the 4 liters to the very top, but he acknowledged he didn’t get even coverage. In my opinion, he tried to do too much in one session and had uneven work. He just kept shoving the device in my skin at what seemed random and very rough.

When my husband came into the recovery room and saw my face he was horrified and says I was obviously in a state of trauma and shock. Even the nurse looked horrified.

I was supposed to return after 2 weeks for lower flanks hips and thighs, but I seriously believe I have PTSD from the first experience.

Then comes the first 72 hours post-op. I was taking the pain meds he gave me as scheduled and it wasn’t touching the pain. I called him and he said he isn’t legally allowed to prescribe me more than 3 days' supply of a low dose opiate. That I should go to a pain management doctor. He suggested if I came back that he couldn’t do it under general anesthesia but could refer me to someone else further away that could.

After 3 months I still was in pain and struggled to sit at my desk and perform an 8 hour workday. At 6 months the pain went down.

The results were there. He did remove a lot of fat cells. But I had significant scars from the incisions on my abs. He was so rough with the suction device that he tore the incisions and they were not a nice neat slice. He said he could fix them with plastic surgery.

The worst part though is the deformed body I was left with. I have a bulge about the size of a large egg on the top of my lower ab, right where a bikini might sit. I had a beautiful hourglass figure. Now I have no waist. My pants fall down below that ugly egg bulge. As a result of the painful recovery, I was limited in my activity I could tolerate. So I did gain some weight and it went to my pelvic area and my size G cup breasts and thighs, plus made the egg bulge worse.

Same as many people have said in other reviews, by my 6-month appointment the doctor was no longer working at Sono Bello and I’d have to go through a new evaluation with a different doctor not likely to honor the original doctor's verbal commitment to make it right.

So while their prices were less than other plastic surgeons, it was still over $8,000.00 and I’m still paying on the loan for a procedure that as my husband says “took a flawless clean canvas and carved it up into a scared disfigured version”. (He’s not a jerk about it, he empathizes with me.) Granted my body wasn’t perfect otherwise I wouldn’t have sought lipo in the first place, but I was proportionate and had no stretch marks from prior pregnancies and no scars and I had a small waistline.

I recently posted a bad review on the Sono Bello Facebook site and was promptly contacted by a customer care rep. I’m torn on giving them a chance with a different doctor and using general anesthesia to fix the deformity and do the hips and thighs as planned. Or should I try Cool Sculpting instead?

Amazingly enough, as I have been researching options I’ve found the original doctor that performed the procedure has his own individual practice in Tampa still practicing lipo. I’ve considered contacting him. I mean, I paid so much and don’t want to live with this deformed body. I’m a boater and usually spend every weekend in a bikini (not anymore) but I don’t want to invest another $8,000 to have a similar horrifying experience.

I would have rather had more subtle results but even and smooth that what I got.

Pros and Cons

So far my results are good. With dieting and exercising, I’m in great hopes to see even more results. My recovery was great. I went back to work the next day after my procedure and I’m a registered nurse. I’m overall satisfied with Sono Bello.

Misrepresentation

By Dawn F., Virginia, Verified Reviewer

I met with Courtney at the Woodbridge location. We talked about the procedure, and I was very excited.

She told me it was a 1-3 day recovery period. We looked at financing options and applied for Care Credit. Courtney told me my purchase for the procedure was interest-free if paid off in a year.

Not only am I three months in and still experiencing discomfort, numbness, and tingling, I happened to look at my care credit account and see that I am being charged more than $100/month in interest.

I have reached out to Sono Bello to talk with someone in the corporate office. I feel scammed. I am going to file a complaint with the FTC as well for unethical business practices.

Awesome experience

By Shannon G., Troy, MI, Verified Reviewer

Sono Bello in Troy, Michigan is great. My first phone contact was very pleasant no pressure, Samantha was very helpful and knowledgeable. Throughout the whole process, the amazing staff was right along the way, from making sure I was comfortable, to answering any and all questions and preparing me for surgery. The after care has been amazing. I’m not sure about other locations but my experience in Troy has been great. I am satisfied with the results of the surgery. The only negative comment I will say is that you have to make sure the doctor takes the time to listen to what you want and fully explain realistic expectations. My doctor did but only after I said I wanted to spend time talking about it. Other than that I am 4 days post op. I had upper/lower abs, waist and bra roll, along with skin removal. I’m feeling a little sore and very much swollen but doing good. Can see slight results already.

GREAT!

By Melissa P., Sacramento, CA, Verified Reviewer

I had a GREAT EXPERIENCE at Sono Bello. On December 5, 2019 I had my stomach, waist, and back done here at the Sacramento location on Howe Ave, in which I have to say the STAFF is OUTSTANDING, the consultation was thorough, but the procedure was AMAZING. I DID NOT FEEL A THING. It's been 2 weeks already and I feel really good, I can touch my toes, hahaha, after 9 children and being 52 years young, it was time and Sono Bello brought me back, I feel 35 again. Thank Sono Bello, Dr. Tavazoli, I appreciate you all.

A WASTE of MONEY

By Coraly M., New Jersey, Verified Reviewer

When I found Sono Bello online after years of wanting liposuction I literally just felt like I HAD to have it done. I can honestly say they had me at "the very minimal downtime", part of the recovery. My story is similar to most unsatisfied patients. I paid lots of money for little results. I followed the post-op instructions to the T. It was embarrassing for people to know, I spent that kind of money with no results/almost non-existent. I would complain to the doctor's medical assistant at every post-op appointment about how unsatisfied I was with my results, because yes, after the surgery, you will not be scheduled to see or speak to the doctor who performed the surgery, but a medical assistant, all she kept telling me was...that I had to wait the 6 months to really see the difference. Well, let me tell you that it has been 8 months and nothing I still feel and look the same. In my opinion, this was truly a WASTE of money! It really sucks that I had to rate this in order to post, otherwise, I would have not rated at all.

Met my expectations

By Kimberly F., Raleigh, NC, Verified Reviewer

I am a retired Army officer and spent 23 years doing fitness daily. After 6 years of being retired and sitting at a desk job I developed flab on my midsection that will not go away with the walking that I am limited to doing. I can do light ab work, walk, and swimming for exercise so during months when I can't get in my pool the fat kept increasing. My clothes are all size 6, but when I started buying size 8 and 10 I knew I had to do something. My initial consultation was great. No whammies on cost. I was given a sheet with the total price and told to give a deposit and the finance options. I was initially surprised with the cost of $6000+, but I know that my quality of life was worth it.

My procedure was scheduled for 12:00 and I showed up at 10:30 as directed. They said I was 2 hours early and told me I was scheduled for 2 pm. I came back, only to be told my appointment would not be until 5 pm. This was the only thing that was inconvenient, but was actually a good thing because I did some shopping while I waited.

There was a little pain during the numbing process but the rest was not painful, only a "pulling" feeling from moving the device around. The nurses were very nice and informative. I got a garment to put on afterward and my ride was given the instructions. They put maxi pads on your cuts to catch the drainage but I did not have much draining. They prescribed Oxycodone and I only took it for the first two days to help me rest. I did my procedure on a Saturday and I went back to work on Tuesday. I could not wear the binder they gave me because it was impossible to sit and work with it on. I improvised with a similar product. I have mild swelling still - 5 days later, but can already see the results. I am 5'9" and normally 140 but got up to 163 when I decided to get the procedure. I did CoolSculpting a year prior at a cost of $1,200 and it did not work one bit. They told me it would take up to 3 sessions to see results. That's $3,600 and hoping it worked. The TriSculpt option gave instant results (despite the swelling) and I paid a slightly higher cost than CoolSculpting would have been after 3 treatments. Convenience is worth the additional cost.

The swelling, minor pain, and cost were expected and written clearly in the instructions and initial appt.

Sure, it was costly, but at almost 50 years old, I am looking for long-term quality of life changes. I realized that my diet and my sedentary work-life contributed to my fat. Now I am excited to get up, cook my lunch, pack my lunch and water bottles and when I am at work I walk 10 minutes every hour. This summer I will sport that bikini again without my belly hanging over the bottoms!

Why did I wait?

By Sue O., Leavenworth, WA, Verified Reviewer

I've struggled with what has happened to my body as I age. I'm on the back-side of 50 and my waist had completely disappeared and all my favorite clothes had been packed away because they no longer fit. Additionally, my self-confidence was on a steady decline because every time I looked in the mirror, I didn't see myself anymore. I saw someone I used to hope I'd never look like.

After a lot of research and then actually talking to people I sought out who were past Sono Bello patients, I began to hope I could get just some of the results I saw others getting.

I finally talked to the professionals at Sono Bello. I had seen many commercials, but I have a pessimistic side that told me that what they were advertising was just "too good to be true." The professionals at Sono Bello answered ALL of my questions and I knew what I could expect.

I decided to move forward with the procedures and I am beyond thrilled. After each procedure in the body contouring process, I was happier and happier. I asked them to help with my face and neck - WOW, everyone asks me, "What's different about you?" They also say, "You look very happy, what's new in your life?" I'm very proud to tell them about my procedures and they agree I look wonderful.

My confidence has returned, I've unpacked some of my favorite clothes, and I have energy and youth that I've missed for quite some time.

My advice - DON'T WAIT. Do this for yourself - I'm very glad I did.

I truly enjoyed the experience with Sono Bello and thought of it as a way to jump-start and reignite my fitness journey. Sono Bello did just that. The surgery gave me the extra boost of self-confidence I needed to begin running again as well as eating better. I am down over 25 pounds since my surgery, and I feel stronger and more confident to do more things and work towards a happier and healthier self!
