Unable to Cancel order/Returns Policy

By Tony, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I have used the Tommie Copper knee sleeve for many years in order to reduce the swelling effects after my ACL surgery. I have been very satisfied with the product as it seems to work better than the over-the-counter tensors and I wear it everyday, all day. I play goalie in a men's ice hockey league, so my knees do take a beating. In the past I have used various knee injections (i.e Synvisc, Orthovisc) to minimize the pain and swelling, this year I have not used the injections but only the sleeve. That's the good part of the story, now for the bad.

Recently I ordered an ankle sleeve, received a 15% discount email to apply to the order, of which the coupon didn't work. Before the order was processed, I tried to cancel it as I had located the same article in a store locally. I sent numerous emails to their Customer Service Department, only to be told the order cannot be canceled as it is processed in another warehouse. What company these days can't cancel an order less than 24 hours after being ordered? I was told I could return the order (minus the $12.50 Shipping & Handling Fee) once the product arrives for a full refund. I was also offered a ridiculous offer of a 15% off my next order for the inconvenience which I declined. The final outcome to this transaction is yet to be determined as I am waiting for the 5th email response from their Customer Service department.

There are many other retailers that now carry the product & very similar ones too if you must have it (Amazon, Bass Pros & As Seen On TV are a few).

Long story short:

Pros: good product, it has various results depending on the individual & yes I have recommended the product to friends.

Cons: Terrible Customer service, returns and shipping policy. Not recommended to purchase from the website.

Back relief with not enough support

By Anne Rupert , Columbiana, OH

Just purchased the Tommie Copper back support for both pain relief and support. It does not provide enough support in my opinion. It's flimsy after wearing and gets wrinkles in it, taking on a form of it's own. I plan to add vertical stays to it to keep it straight. It may be ok after that but should not have to do anything to it.

Gloves

By Bud , Kentland Indiana

Seems to help pain but not made well enough to work. It comes apart at seams. Idea is good but workmanship sucks.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Not sure how, but it works while you're wearing it!

By M B., Illinois, Verified Reviewer

I'm in my late 50's and have shoulder pain and limited range of motion. A friend recommended the compression top. There was a sale going on, so I thought it was worth a try. The product really does work...while you're wearing it. I see no long-term benefits though. Once the shirt is off, there is no more relief. If there were more fashionable styles I wouldn't mind having a couple to wear under other clothes, but the neckline is really high, so unless you're wearing turtlenecks, it will always be visible. Not without its merits, but not a cure-all or permanent fix either. I actually enjoy sleeping in it as it's nice to be able to tuck my arm under my pillow without the pain waking me up.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Pain Gone, Swollen knee (what the heck). Lol

By Albie , Byron, Georgia

Not sure what this product did for me other than swell my knee. Knee injury was already healing, so I'm not sure if the Tommie Copper took the pain away or not. The pain is gone, but my knee has swollen really bad.

Snail shipping

By comet ,

I like the product but I ordered more socks on 5/16 at 8:25 AM they didn't shipped them (and notified me) until 5/19 1:20 PM. My delivery date? I expected 5/27! 12 days from early morning order date! Have they not heard of Zappo's? The low rating is totally based on their shipping time.

Ankle support

By Jason , Ottawa, Canada

Did not help at all. Money spent in hope of relieving some ankle pain could have been used on some good insoles. No harm in trying. When you are in pain anything is worth a try.

Knee Sleeve Digs In

By Darren , Yellowknife, Canada

The band at the top of each knee sleeve cuts into my leg pretty badly. There's a rubberized strip along the top to keep it in place. I'm not sure why the elastic needs to be so tight?

To accommodate this, I exchanged them for a size larger than their chart recommends. The elastic is still tight, but not nearly as bad. Going one size up also means less compression overall. I'm not sure if I could be getting better results?

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Not happy with order process

By SoFo , Pennsylvania

First, let me say that their website is horrible. I wanted to get my husband knee sleeves for Christmas. The only thing that constantly popped up was something that said "recovery". Thinking that was it, I ordered two. (Note: I never received a confirmation email.

Then I decided to look for calf sleeves for myself and I stumbled upon "performance" knee sleeves. Ugh! Yes, he needs them while he's running. So I try their live chat but no one responds. I just wanted to cancel, or change from two recovery to two performance sleeves. This was yesterday.

Today I see a pending charge from them on my card. So I call customer service and get nowhere. They are unable to cancel once the order has been placed. But they will honor my 15% off code if I want to place a second order right now. Um, no thanks. I now don't trust them enough to have two orders hanging out there and I still want to place a third order for myself? How long will it take to get here, be returned and then for me to get credited $40?

Very poor set up. The website, ordering system, and unhelpful customer service. I don't think for one second that the cooler is going to help, I just thought it may be a good brand of compression sleeves.

Obviously we haven't even used the product yet. But buyer beware of their horrible website and know that there's more on it than what they will show you if you just search by a body part!

Allergic Reaction

By Dave , Ottawa, Canada

I was given a knee sleeve for Christmas. After wearing it for about 10 hours, I had to take it off, I had a red ring around my leg which was visible for another couple of days.
