Disappointed

By Paul, Decatur, AL, Verified Reviewer

I order the bundle package of Recovery shorts in black. The site defaulted to the grey. Instead of sending them back, I decided to give them a try. I opened all three packs to check sizes, wore one to the gym. The fit was extremely tight and the waist band rolled down. Well now I'm stuck as they do not take back opened shorts or socks. I have myself to blame by not returning when I received the package. Will I buy again? Nope.

Order not received

By Kim , Ontario, Canada

I placed an order from Tommy Copper on May 29th. It is now July 4th, and my order is no where to be found. Even the tracking number provided is not valid. I just want the items I paid for.

Customer Service with Tommie Copper

By John , Mattawan, MI

I ordered ankle brace on the phone and told them specifically what I wanted the performance brace. Instead, they sent me the recovery brace. When I called to tell them I received the wrong brace, customer service (Brian) told me I got what I ordered and then hung up on me. When I called back and asked to speak with a supervisor, I was told they were in a meeting and I would receive a call back (which I never got). I've been ordering from Tommie Copper for two years and this type of service is unacceptable for the price of the product. Perhaps I need to find an alternative.

Compression knee sleeve

By Everett Mayo Adelman, North Carolina, Verified Reviewer

The product was expensive and had slow shipping. I wore it one work day and by the end of the day my leg hurt. My leg was severely burned from the chemical in the latex band. This was three weeks ago and the scar is still there.

Shipping times

By David Stafford , Seattle, WA

Tommie Copper promises certain ship times that they can't make happen. If it ever shows up, I will let you know how it works.

Unreliable and dishonest company

By Ann , New York

I had very bad experience when I purchased several products from Tommie Copper.

  1. The sales person made a mistake in the invoice and overcharged. Had I not picked it up, they would have profited.
  2. I returned most things except one item but they claimed that I had not returned five items. I lost because they won't refund me the full amount. I kept one item but paid for five instead.
  3. Once you send items, there is no proof what they claim was received back in the warehouse.'
  4. The discount they offer on their sleeves was not prorated as I returned one of them.

All in all, I lost out because of their dishonesty. They can not be trusted. This sort of a thing would not happen, if it was a major store like Macy's.

How do I prove what I had returned? Watch out!

Very tight

By Lily , CA

I ordered according to their size chart and it was way too tight. I have called them about their size chart and they confirmed that I just need to follow the chart to obtain the right size. There is no more stretch in them as I struggled to put the item on. I gave it a try anyway and got it on, but soon after began to feel cold. It did not feel good at all so I sent it back.

What worked for me for my aches was the LightStim that I purchased from QVC. I bought it for a shoulder and neck pain and yes, that went away with the LightStim. I used it on my plantars fasciitis (when I overdid it on my walks on my manual treadmill that is on a constant incline) and my recent knee pain (it hit the floor when I slipped on the wet floor). My child hurt her back in her sport and found relieve and pain was gone in 3 half hour sessions. So far it worked on different areas of pain.

Poor customer relations.

By Rick Holt , Pennsylvania

They do not honor their online offers. Other compression items work just as well in my opinion.

Paid for the items but they never got here.

By Chris , Kailua, HI

I have a Tommie Copper for my elbow and when a friend complained of his injury I told him to get one as well. I got mine in the mail in five days. Back in August, he paid an additional $6.50 to get it here in 6 to 10 business days. We have the email for proof.

It is now September 28th and it is still not here. He tried to cancel the order weeks ago. He was told no and Tommie Copper was of not much help in this situation. His arm is now worse off.

He should not have listened to me I will not recommend Tommie Copper to anyone anymore. I'm very disappointed for telling my friend to get one.

Not worth it!

By Jeremy , Minnesota

If you actually have elbow pain, Tommie Copper does basically nothing. I wore two of them throughout most of the summer, and the tightness of each band has loosed up totally. I basically cannot wear them anymore like I want to.

At first it feels good but really it does not do anything for real pain and there is very little amount of copper. I cannot even smell it. Whatever pro athletes wear in games, I seriously doubt it's Tommie Copper sleeves and there is a reason why there's a retired QB who is the spokesperson, not an active team or athlete.

Exercise your forearm, wrists, fingers and bicep to improve and help strengthen the arm for less pain. Wearing this stupid thing is not going to do anything for serious constant elbow pain from my experience.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
