It works for me

By bobk , NJ

I have severe arthritis, and no more cartilage in my knee. I take 1 anti-inflammatory pill a day. On really bad days or days with a lot of work activity I wear my Tommie Copper sleeve. I don't know how or why it works but it works for me so I don't' really care. It is comfortable to wear unlike my other braces, even my $500 DonJoy brace. I do construction work and can wear it all day long.

Tommie Copper compression gloves

By DeeDee , Boston, MA

I just bought these gloves to help with reducing inflammation due to arthritis in my right hand. When I tried on the gloves, there was an immediate and noticeable level of compression between each glove hand.

The glove hand that I really need more compression with feels loose, while the other glove hand has a very comfortable compression. The company will not allow me to return one glove and replace it with a smaller size.

The company has not offered any solution for me except that I should pay for another set of gloves. Listen up Tommie Copper, if you really want to help your customers achieve what you claim, then please adjust your product line to accommodate customers that have complained about this. I am not the only one.

I wouldn't bother. Not worth the money.

By Ely Summers , Nevada

I bought a Tommie Copper knee brace. The bands that hold the brace in place work perfectly. However, the fabric that is supposed to compress my knee is as loose as a flowing skirt. I've tried taking it in a bit yet I'm still not getting the compression I need. Waste of money in my opinion.

Unable to Cancel order/Returns Policy

By Tony, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I have used the Tommie Copper knee sleeve for many years in order to reduce the swelling effects after my ACL surgery. I have been very satisfied with the product as it seems to work better than the over-the-counter tensors and I wear it everyday, all day. I play goalie in a men's ice hockey league, so my knees do take a beating. In the past I have used various knee injections (i.e Synvisc, Orthovisc) to minimize the pain and swelling, this year I have not used the injections but only the sleeve. That's the good part of the story, now for the bad.

Recently I ordered an ankle sleeve, received a 15% discount email to apply to the order, of which the coupon didn't work. Before the order was processed, I tried to cancel it as I had located the same article in a store locally. I sent numerous emails to their Customer Service Department, only to be told the order cannot be canceled as it is processed in another warehouse. What company these days can't cancel an order less than 24 hours after being ordered? I was told I could return the order (minus the $12.50 Shipping & Handling Fee) once the product arrives for a full refund. I was also offered a ridiculous offer of a 15% off my next order for the inconvenience which I declined. The final outcome to this transaction is yet to be determined as I am waiting for the 5th email response from their Customer Service department.

There are many other retailers that now carry the product & very similar ones too if you must have it (Amazon, Bass Pros & As Seen On TV are a few).

Long story short:

Pros: good product, it has various results depending on the individual & yes I have recommended the product to friends.

Cons: Terrible Customer service, returns and shipping policy. Not recommended to purchase from the website.

The return policy

By Ricki Lindsay, Texas, Verified Reviewer

This company has the worst customer service when it comes to returns that I have EVER encountered. I placed a first order using their sizing guidelines and received 15% off. I received the item and it was too big. I wanted to exchange for a smaller size and was told I had to return my item and place another order but I would not get the 15% off because I had already used it originally. Today I received my refund and was still charged for the $4.95 shipping. So I paid a total of $7.27 shipping at my expense for an item I was unable to use that I purchase using their guidelines. I won't know if the product ever works because I don't do business with a company with such poor policies.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Unfortunately, Tommie Copper does not live up to its advertisement. It contains poor construction. and not worth the investment in my opinion.

My Tommie Copper Wear

By Dixie Olson , Delhi, CA

I am a 68 year old disabled female, saw an ad on T.V. about Tommie Copper wear, so I began to order his products. I have the gloves, which helps with the numbness in my hands, the pants, and long sleeved shirt. I find this to be a wonderful product as it helps with all my aches and pains. I have never found anything like it, so if you have pain in your body try it! I just torn a tendon in my left arm so I am going to order a sleeve for that, as it is not torn enough for surgery but sure hurts when I move my arm. This is the best product I have ever tried that really works. It's very comfortable, light weight and works great. I hope every one with pain will try it. Thank you Tommie, you have given me a lot pain relief with your products. This is not a scam.

Very tight

By Lily , CA

I ordered according to their size chart and it was way too tight. I have called them about their size chart and they confirmed that I just need to follow the chart to obtain the right size. There is no more stretch in them as I struggled to put the item on. I gave it a try anyway and got it on, but soon after began to feel cold. It did not feel good at all so I sent it back.

What worked for me for my aches was the LightStim that I purchased from QVC. I bought it for a shoulder and neck pain and yes, that went away with the LightStim. I used it on my plantars fasciitis (when I overdid it on my walks on my manual treadmill that is on a constant incline) and my recent knee pain (it hit the floor when I slipped on the wet floor). My child hurt her back in her sport and found relieve and pain was gone in 3 half hour sessions. So far it worked on different areas of pain.

Tommie Copper knee sleeves

By Tami, New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I love my knee sleeves. I bought one at a showcase store at my local mall, not knowing what to expect. What you need to realize is, compression wear will not stop the pain, but it will reduce the swelling that causes the inflammation and pain. It also increases blood flow, so more oxygen is circulated decreasing downtime and increasing healing time. Wearing the right size and placing it correctly is vital.

I have osteoarthritis and sciatica (I'm in my early 40's) and the pain may not have disappeared, but it lets me function and participate in more life activities. Before Tommie Copper, I was in so much pain and dreaded even going for simple walks with my family, and often needed a cane for assistance. It collects dust now. I love that this product helps me enjoy life with A LOT less pain!

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Disappointed

By Karen Daniels, Mesa, AZ, Verified Reviewer

I tried the Tommie Copper T-shirt. It did nothing for me. I left an honest review, and they refused to post it. Their response was "Our staff has read your review and unfortunately we cannot post your comments as they did not meet all of our regulatory requirements. Please resubmit your review by abiding by our writing guidelines."

My review was this, "I so badly wanted this to help me. I have numerous issues with my back (according to the guidelines I'm not allow to list them. I'm guessing because if you have the same issues, you won't buy this product after reading my review). Unfortunately, this didn't help in the least little bit. However, it is very comfortable. The length is perfectly long, so you're not yanking at it all day. Also, the fit was as expected."

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
