Poor quality

By William G., Chapmanville, WV, Verified Reviewer

I purchased two pairs of Tommy Copper socks (1739MR). These socks are thin and cheaply made, certainly not justifying $34.50 a pair. You can see your skin through them. They are not even worth the 30% off price I paid. Super poor value! Super poor quality! I tried to review the socks on their website. My review stayed on the web for less than one hour. Very selective with the reviews they allow. Speaks volumes to their honesty, character, and integrity.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Knee sleeve

By Jeanne G., Attleboro, MA, Verified Reviewer

I have been suffering with right knee pain for many years. I have osteopenia and also intermittent sciatica. I have tried knee braces of every kind, some to the price of $100. Four years ago I was sleepwalking and fell down 11 stairs. I had a smashed wrist, and broken hands. After three months and six surgeries and titanium bars and wrists band placed in my hands. I suffered with pain. I purchased the hand gloves and wrist bands. It got me through. So I purchased a knee brace. It arrived yesterday. I put it on right away, it changed the pain level from a 10 to a 1-2. I took it off to sleep and this was the first time I slept all night. I put it on this morning!

And I cannot praise it enough. Thank you Tommie Copper.

Your comprehension socks suck

By Paul P., Elma, WA, Verified Reviewer

I bought 2 pairs of your comprehension socks and within two weeks of normal wear they won't even stay up, they fall down after four, five steps. And at $10.00 per pair, that sucks. I bought a competitive brand at a 10th the cost, they are still going strong after four months.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Excellent products

By Mike Conner , Grand Prairie, TX

I purchased the knee sleeves a little bit over 9 months or so ago. I wear them whenever I have to stand or walk for an extended distance or time. I have arthritis in both knees, degenerative.

These sleeves let me stand and walk for several hours without having to sit and rest.

More recently, I purchased a short sleeve compression T-shirt to help with my shoulders, mostly right, to keep it from hurting at night. It has been a purchase that I'm definitely glad I made. I may get 1-2 more to rotate through the week.

I definitely sleep better and more soundly.

I plan to get the heavier duty knee sleeves. I have recommended both products to various friends & relatives.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Relief, Relief and Relief

By Catherine Pedri , Brooklyn, NY

My husband and I both use their products. My husband has sciatica problems and is using the knee sleeve. The pain went away instantly when he put it on. I couldn't believe it. I have a bad back and burning down my legs. I decided to order the tights and put them on for the first time today. I was amazed. I could only stand for a minute or two before and then I would have to sit down. I was standing for about 20 to 30 minutes making a cake, put it in the oven, and then cleaned the kitchen with no pain at all. It is like a miracle to me. Love it.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Couldn't believe it worked

By Kelli , Emerald Isle, NC

My sister in law worked as a telephone company installer, climbing up poles and under buildings and homes, so she knows some pain. She tried one, and when I was visiting, suggested I "try" hers to see if it worked, since I am BROKE and spend every dime I have on medical care for me and my disabled child.

I was injured in a car accident in 2002 (driver was high) and am now a disabled mom of a disabled 15 year old. I have permanent spinal cord damage, nerve damage is the WORST of all. 24/7 pain, It's worse at night. Doctors call it "night time pain syndrome", your stop doing everything and you try to sleep - your body has NOTHING to think about but the pain you are in. NO SLEEP

The nerve damage is set off by muscle spasms, I take 6 Vicodins, 3 different muscle relaxers, anti-anxiety meds, anti-depressants (who in my condition wouldn't need them?!), and use Lidoderm patches - every day. I get to pay for all that, and kill my liver at the same time, just so I don't blow my brains out from pain. It's something like having a Charley horse 24 hours a day since August 31, 2002.

NOW, I won't tell you the knee brace has "cured" the problem, but what I WILL tell you, honestly, that it has helped about 20%. To anyone NOT having experienced the sheer mind-numbing amount of pain patients like me suffer, that might not seem like much. To me, it makes life worth attempting again, trying to get out of bed worth most days again.

The compression on the sciatica nerve running along the outer side of my leg has helped DECREASE the electrical shock, the "walking on cut glass", the barbed wire, the being shot in the foot, the dog bite, the boiling water, etc.. sensations that my frayed and damaged sciatica nerve kept sending to my brain. There is nothing wrong with my foot or leg, but my sciatica insists on telling my brain there is.

I ALSO have a $75,000 spinal cord stimulator/implant to help with the pain of the injury, so I am NOT talking some little back ache here. I am talking can't walk some days, close to a wheel chair. And, oh joy, the internal battery in my stimulator is dying and will need replacing within the next few months, another $35,000. My portion? A measly $3,000.

I suggest you go online to Hamrick's. It is a discount store in the south. They sell for between $9.98 and $12.98 (don't know why there is a difference) The reason I know? Lost mine that I bought for $12.98. CRIED. My sweet, supportive husband of 29 years drove a 7 hour round trip to pick me up another one, it was $9.98. Less a 10% coupon in the local paper, and a 15% discount card he signed up for (FREE) and he arrived on Senior Day with his Senior Mom, so he got ANOTHER 10% off. LOADS less than the TV price.

Took the opportunity to visit his mother who lives close by, so it does pay to go see the old folks!

I was NOT solicited by, NOR PAID for this review. BUT, if they'd like to contact me, well now, I would be more than happy to accommodate them!

Blessings world, from a small island off the coast of NC where we moved so I could recover my health, sanity, joy and peace.

With God's grace and love, the healing of His Son and with the love and support of my husband and daughter I am on that path. May you be, also!

Kelli

Back relief with not enough support

By Anne Rupert , Columbiana, OH

Just purchased the Tommie Copper back support for both pain relief and support. It does not provide enough support in my opinion. It's flimsy after wearing and gets wrinkles in it, taking on a form of it's own. I plan to add vertical stays to it to keep it straight. It may be ok after that but should not have to do anything to it.

It worked for my knee arthritis

By Elayne , College Station, TX

My husband bought me a knee sleeve since my knee hurt enough that I couldn't ride my road bike (because of osteoarthritis). Usually my knee pain would subside after 4 weeks or so and then back to normal, but this time it was several weeks longer & I was starting to get mad & depressed. My 800mg of Advil was just not giving me any relief this time. He bought my knee sleeve for $10 at a local sporting goods store. I immediately put it on & after about a half hour I was walking without pain. I have NO idea how this works, & I am not impressed easily or easily persuaded but dang, this thing works. I'm going riding tomorrow. It worked for me. I am 64 and not exactly svelte.

Love your products

By Cathy , Gallatin, TN

Believe me, I'm probably one of the biggest skeptics but after my husband bought me a pair of compression leggings, I loved them and they do work. For Christmas last year, Tommie Copper items were on my list. Today I received another order with leggings, activity leggings and top. I placed my order on Monday and received today. For all the naysayers, you need to wear the product in order to see and feel the results. Sure beats a medical bill any day.
