This is a scam

By Liat S., Los Angeles, CA, Verified Reviewer

The matches they provide are in different cities and even different states. The matches are random, not based on preferences such as age, height, location, smoking or whether or not they want to have kids. They are basically random and unrealistic. I tried to get a refund after 5 days of use, and my email was returned. I tried to file a case through PayPal three times, and they refused to refund my money. Do not waste your money on this site; this is a scam.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Nope

By Melissa Chatfield, St. Louis, MO, Verified Reviewer

It is no better than any other online dating service. Additionally, I met someone for a date that I met there. On the date, we exchanged last names and cell numbers for the first time. So I vetted him like anyone else I date. He reported his age to be 57. I’m 52. Online I discovered he is actually 70. Almost my dad’s age! I called him on it. He didn’t understand the problem. I told him it was the dishonesty more than anything.

I reported it to EliteSingles. I had unmatched him. They said they needed a screenshot of his profile and a forward of the email from EliteSingles to be able to track him down. I said I couldn’t get to either. But I had his FULL NAME (which is actually pretty unusual), the town he resides in, and his photo that I screenshot from Facebook. They said they couldn’t find him that way! HUH? Good thing he’s not a serial killer! That made NO sense to me. So I suppose he’ll go on duping more women! Ridiculous!

Rip off!

By Sherry Metz, Kentucky, Verified Reviewer

They send you profiles of inactive accounts, lots of matches with no photos because the profiles are fake or inactive.

Do NOT give them your money! They keep directing you around to help topics and have nothing for you to reach customer service for your real complaint, only offer generic computer generated crap that doesn't address your issue. You will get all the matches they promise, with no photos and nonactive accounts, and this is how they meet their promise to you. They then suggest you request a photo to an inactive account, and this is how they justify their fees.

Do NOT join; it's a scam!

HORRIBLE. Do not sign up.

By Tiffany McLaughlin, San Francisco, CA, Verified Reviewer

Run to another site. The content and layout are so bad. I wish I had known. I trusted the reviews I read and bought the premium, and now I can't get a refund because I passed the 3-day trial. That is unacceptable. I used it for less than a week to see if I could get better results. I want my money back, and their customer service said no!

Their site gets hacked like a sieve

By Bill Haas, St. Louis, MO, Verified Reviewer

Although some aspects of the site are ok, my profile was hacked and I was emailed by some scammer. Women also told me that their contact info was hacked by scammers. Maybe credit card info too. I told them and they didn't respond. It is a German company. They email but can't be called. I'd discourage you from using them.

Bad all around

By Dee, Tampa, FL, Verified Reviewer

Not only does it not meet criteria for "elite" singles, they argue with you and ASSURE you their system is sending appropriate matches. Then, the customer service rep pointed out that I had closed 200 matches, so apparently, I am the problem. They also wrote that they sent, "...3-7 compatible matches per day and it does look as though we have fulfilled that obligation." The problem is the inappropriate nature of the matches that they did send. The word "elite" does not include unemployed, high school educated, or blue collar workers. But apparently, according to the customer service rep, I am being too picky and should welcome an over-the-road trucker as "elite." On this site, I had the most number of inappropriate language and suggestions from men of any site I have been on.

Don't waste your money

By Kymberley GC, Southport, Queensland, Australia, Verified Reviewer

This site is as BAD as they say. The app and website are pathetic, and so are the matches. When you change your criteria it does not work, you can't browse profiles, and their matches are oh so bad, and most of the time the matches live over an hour or two away even though I have my settings for only 50klm distance as that was the lowest option I could choose. I should have just thrown $300 down the toilet.

I also think its a scam. Out of all the matches they sent, I've received lots of smiles from completely inappropriate matches. I then sent a complaint to the support center and then received a few that were appealing that sent me a smile or message, I sent one back and then never hear from them again.

Not to sound like a princess, however, I'm a very attractive, fit woman being matched with overweight men ten years older than me. Don't waste your money!

The biggest scam

By Jacqueline Fonseca, Texas, Verified Reviewer

I set up my profile and didn't pay for membership right away, so when I signed up for a full year, I had my card charged a full lump sum instead of other sites that charge monthly. I never received notification that my subscription was up for renewal (since it took my subscription date at date of set up instead of date of payment), so when I tried to cancel my membership, I couldn't, and my card was charged for another $230+.

When I set up my profile, you set the filters to fit the type of person that you're looking for, and the system will reset filters to give you a "larger pool" to "choose" from. I live in Texas, and Texas is a large state, but I was being matched up with people that live in a different time zone in Texas (not worth the little time that I have). Most of the matches don't have pictures or completed profiles and the site "encourages" the contacting of these matches.

Elite Singles passes themselves off as a site that has a higher quality of matches, however, most of the matches that ended up in my pool were working at call centers in customer service and like to hunt/fish, I'm not a snob, however, I'm looking for someone that is in my league.

Do not sign up for Elite Singles!

By Brittany Dawn, Phoenix, AZ, Verified Reviewer

If you are looking to sign up for a dating website, DO NOT choose Elite Singles. Definitely a scam! They have no way to contact corporate, and although it appears that canceling an account is an easy four-step process, the only way I can think of to make sure I am not charged again is to request a new credit card, which is what I’m going to have to do.

Not only that but the dating pool is low, and the majority of the members write nothing about themselves or don’t even post a picture of themselves. I doubt that most of the people are even actual members.

Don't waste your money or your time

By Elaine Donadio, Bayside, NY, Verified Reviewer

I joined for six months at a cost of $209.70. There is no one on the other end when you try to contact a customer service rep by email or phone. It's a third or fourth party operation. Eventually, I received a reply that in no way answered my question. They actually asked me to rate their customer service. The nerve!

No receipt or email confirmation is sent when you subscribe. After three attempts, I got an email with the dollar amount, start date, and length of time of membership. No names, not mine, not Elite Singles. No addresses. No customer service contact info. No phone number. No email address. The top of the page I printed had its URL address mostly covered by icons.

No states are mentioned in the profiles, only cities, so members have no idea how far away the other members live. Very often, the website just did not work so I was trying to scroll to search the supposed hundreds of eligible men, but most often only the first ten were accessible.

I believe Elite Singles is connected to Match.com in some way, or pretends to be.

Needless to say, the entire experience was a disappointment and a rip-off.

Elite Singles are pretty much idiots

By Chasman, New Zealand, Verified Reviewer

Yes, unfortunately, Elite Singles are idiots. I don't care about paying $209 for six months BUT the matches are rubbish and utter crap. Sorry to tell you. The worst is, they won't allow you to have your say about yourself. For example, I said I like to spend most of my time mucking around and they did NOT approve that and rejected the comment. And please, some common sense, I am who I say I am.

And wait, there's more. They won't allow you to set criteria for weight. Well, I am fit and want a woman that is similar. My matches were a lot of overweight fat girls. What the heck!? Elite Singles are idiots, just in it for the money and preserving a fake reputation. YEAH, you could meet someone and I agree there are reputable people on there, but only because there is a price to pay and it's not free. That is something positive about Elite; Elite's pricing attracts people that are serious about meeting someone, which shows people are genuine.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
