Gotham pot and pan non stick with rack

By Ghislaine D., New Brunswick, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I enjoyed them for the first 2 months, and after that, I am not impressed as the copper is peeling off and also it is impossible to clean like new. I would not recommend anyone to buy them for sure. I am very disappointed in the product. I bought it at Giant Tiger and I don't have an order number.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

It sticks and doesn't cook evenly.

By Mark K., Florida, Verified Reviewer

I have the square pan and despite following the directions and putting peanut oil, margarine or butter in the pan, everything sticks. Eggs stuck from day one and it's only gotten worse since. The warranty is completely worthless because one must pay the shipping to return the defective item to New Jersey, plus pay an additional $9.95 at which time you're out roughly $23 making the warranty claim, which will be denied for "sticking" because Gotham Steel claims that the pan was damaged because of "overheating."

Word to the wise - if you see it on TV, it's probably junk. Save yourself the money and aggravation by buying a quality cast iron or stainless skillet!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Bad pan

By Hank B., Winnemucca, NV, Verified Reviewer

I purchased a Gotham Steel Pan thinking it will work for life. This pan is all scratched up from normal use, I didn't hit it with a hammer like seen on TV. Everything sticks to it, and you have to scrape it to get it clean. It's a scam.

Terrible

By Helen H., Morinville, Alberta, Canada, Verified Reviewer

We brought the frying pan from Walmart. The second time we used it we made Ga, we let the pan stuck and has never worked since everything now sticks. I was very disappointed as this is the only thing my husband had asked for as he is the cook around here.

Worst Customer Service

By Jon R., Florida, Verified Reviewer

Ordered their double offer 12 days ago, never heard anything from them. Went to the website and it shows backorder. Called customer service to get a RUDE Wanda, she said they don't notify you until 30 days. Really? I canceled the order and they offered $5 off to not cancel. Not a chance, CANCELED!

Not worth the money!

By Pamula P., Ohio, Verified Reviewer

I purchased Gotham Steel a few years ago when it first came out. It just makes one mad to see others getting ripped off with their fake advertisement. Everything sticks to the pan, therefore, you do have to use some type of oil. One cannot cook or bake at a high temperature because ones food will be burnt. Lastly, a fork scratched the steel.

This pan is altogether fake. I mean, just think about it, if the product was “all that”, they wouldn't be given away one for free (well almost free, you're still paying for the shipping on the free one and that's really what the pan is worth).

Love it

By Paul R., Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

We have a 9-inch pan that we have been using since Gotham was introduced. It has not warped and nothing has ever stuck. We do use a bit of canola oil on it, there is never a need to put it in the dishwasher because it is so easy to clean up. We never use this pan or any non-stick pan on high heat as this will warp them. A damp paper towel is all that is required for clean up. It is far better than any other non-stick pan we have ever had, we simply love it. Common sense people.

Product

By Susan M., High River, Alberta, Canada, Verified Reviewer

Well, I bought the square frying, thought well, not bad, so I bought a small round one. Well, I was really wrong and sorry that I wasted the money. I wish I still had the receipts so that I had proof of purchase so I could try to return them. I can't even scramble an egg without it sticking, and they don't come clean in the dishwasher at all, I have to scrub them to clean them properly. You see them in all the stores now and I just laugh at them. I would never buy anything Gotham Steel or suggest to anyone to buy them either.

Worst pan ever

By Terry K., Oklahoma, Verified Reviewer

I bought a 9-inch square pan. I treated it as per instructions. Everything I put in the pan, it sticks to the pan. So I re-treated it again and it didn't do any good. I had to use oven cleaner to clean the pan. This is the most useless pan ever. My cast irons skillets are a lot better. Even the cheaper nonstick pans are better.

I will never buy Gotham products again and will tell my friends not to buy.

I am not impressed. Prefer my cast iron skillet.

By Johanna K., Kemptville, Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I was impressed with their TV commercial so I bought a 9.5-inch pan. I used it exactly as directed...the eggs stuck to the pan, not once but three times. I took a picture of the pan after cooking the eggs for proof. Pancakes stuck to the pan as well. I do NOT like the product and feel I wasted $20.00!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Gotham products are the worst to buy.

By Naomi E., Norman, OK, Verified Reviewer

Their commercials are lies. They stick and scratch. I have pictures. I've asked for the address so I can send the pictures. But still no response. The eggs stick and everything you cook sticks to the pans and skillets. I spent over $300.00 on pieces of junk. I wouldn't recommend this product to my worst enemy, let alone any of my friends. I never used harsh soaps or utensils on them. They've got chips in them, and the coating has rubbed off. Believe me, this is no fake review. I purchased just what I said. They don't even deserve a rating.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
