SCRATCHED Gotham Steel Pan

By Mark W., Canada, Verified Reviewer

These pans have some sort of coating that wears off FAST and then no better than ANY pan. They last long enough to cover their FANTASTIC 3-month warranty, then junk. Mine is all scratched to pieces and everything sticks now, and there was NEVER any electric mixer in it nor have I whisked anything in it...just fried eggs. JUNK.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

8 piece Gotham cookware set.

By Rick V., Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I purchased an 8-piece Gotham cookware set on December 13th. I used a hand mixer to whip mashed potatoes, which resulted in finish being scratched to bare metal. According to advertising, metal utensils are okay to use. I would like to argue that point. Please respond!

Gotham is not worth the money

By John M., Reno, NV, Verified Reviewer

After buying a two-pack from Costco, I've used it many times and from the get-go, I've had to use olive oil for the eggs to diced potatoes. Olive oil or butter doesn't help the food from sticking. Now my smaller pan is stained with black after a soak and scrub. I don't recommend purchasing this item; it's a waste of money.

Very dissatisfied.

By Robert B., Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I received a Gotham Steel frying pan for Xmas last year. Disappointed at first use as eggs stuck to the pan. I continued to use it during the past year and noticed with each use that food still stuck. I needed to use a scrubbing pad to get it clean. Last week I cooked two burgers. The residue from the meat is completely baked on to the pan and will not scrub off even after soaking overnight. I have now given up. This product is defective and certainly doesn't perform as advertised.

Great pan

By Coco C., Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

We've had our 9-inch round pan for around a year and use it very often. We use a bit of oil, and it works great, never sticks, and no scratch even though sometimes we use metal utensils. We even put it in the oven occasionally. It's very easy to clean, and still looks brand new. We bought it from Walmart.

Nonstick - yeah, right.

By Mark S., South Carolina, Verified Reviewer

These pans are not non-stick I have a pot that is just ruined, and then my pan where I cook my eggs has been sticking since the day I freaking bought it. And I can't get anybody to call me or give me another pan to see if maybe I got a defect. Very disappointed.

Contradiction

By Frances R., Wyoming, Verified Reviewer

I just purchased the square fry pan. It has an induction base. The instructions that came with it say it's not for induction cooking. Also, the infomercial uses metal utensils and the instructions say not to.

Can someone make up their mind and tell me what and what not to do with this cookware?

I won't recommend until someone clears up this confusion.

Bad product

By Thomas C., Pembroke, Ontario, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I do not recommend this product. By the fourth time using it, food would stick and I would have to use my plastic spatula to scrape the food off. This product did not meet my standards and did not work as seen on TV whatsoever.

Do the buy

By Amy-Rae L., British Columbia, Canada, Verified Reviewer

Worst pans I've ever bought, definitely a waste of money. Everything sticks to them, they are so black now that I can't get them cleaned. Definitely don't waste your money on this crap. So not happy.

Gotham sticks

By Dianne A., Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, Verified Reviewer

Our fry pan scratched and everything has stuck since day one. I have nothing further to add...nice lid, but the pan isn't non-scratch though, and I only use silicone or wooden utensils. Plus food sticks, so use oil for cooking.

Nice pan

By Deb T., Spokane, WA, Verified Reviewer

I bought the small egg pan several months ago and 2 square skillets. So far so good. I use the egg pan daily, it still looks good and is non-stick. I use butter in them and only medium heat as the instructions indicated. I really like my skillets. I purchased from Walmart. I am confident they will last long enough to pay for themselves. I would recommend.
