So far so good...

By Gregory S., Lynchburg, VA, Verified Reviewer

We have four chihuahuas (with a bit of other breeds mixed in on two). Our first order was for six bags of Nature's Blend, which we fed to all four dogs in incremental stages as per the instructions. Our largest dog, Gomer, has issues with allergies so we were keeping a closer eye on him to see if there was any improvement. So far, he has been eating the new food without a problem. He likes it dry right from the bag better than when we add water. We have noticed a change in his coat...shinier and somewhat softer. We have reduced his medication because he doesn't seem to be scratching and licking as much as before the new regimen. We are encouraged by what we are observing and bought 18 new bags in hopes the trend continues. Two other dogs will also eat Nature's Blend, but are not as enthused about it as Gomer. We found that a slight mix with their previous food will get them to eat Nature's Blend without a problem. We are slowly weening the mix away in hopes we can get them to a full diet of NB. It's interesting to note that the other two dogs also seem to prefer the new food dry and right out of the bag with no water. Our fourth dog, Paco, is 15 years old, and has no teeth, is deaf, and weighs less than three pounds. He likes to nibble on whatever the other dogs don't eat...bless his heart. We are encouraged by the early results of Nature's Blend...

Just started using as a supplement to her food

By Deborah W., Springfield, OR, Verified Reviewer

We have a mixed breed rescue who is 2 years old and developed a skin irritation or hot spot. I had switched her from grain-free prairie mix to a lamb and rice. Where I normally buy my dog food they said the lamb may be too rich for her. I went back to the prairie mix but am supplementing with the Nature's Blend. She gets so excited even when I open the bag, she has been a picky eater but this has solved that problem. I am anxious to see the results of mixing the two. I can say she really likes the Nature's Blend and have had no negatives to say about this product.

My dog's experience with Nature's Blend

By Victoria P., Burnet, TX, Verified Reviewer

My dog, Lady, took to Nature's Blend right away. We gradually changed her over from her previous food. We are having a little bit of an adjustment problem, though. She is now hungry frequently between feedings. We were cautioned by our vet not to let her get overweight which she could do easily now that she is spayed. She should weigh about five to five and a half pounds. She already weighs nearly seven pounds so increasing her food is not an option. We started with 1/4 cup twice a day as directed for her weight on the package. We had to up the amount to 1/3 cup twice a day which is a little better. We are now considering 1/4 cup three times a day. It's not that she would eat if more were there. She's really hungry unlike before. Any suggestions? Other than Lady now being really hungry more often than her twice a day feedings, she is doing very well on Dr. Marty Nature,s Blend. We just received our second shipment of food in yesterday's mail.

Wow, our Yorkie loves his food now

By Thomas W., Queen Creek, AZ, Verified Reviewer

What a surprise, Jacey ate all his meals when we put them down for him. He looks for more when he is done. Jacey gets all excited when we put the dog food in the bowl and add the water. He is all excited while the three minutes pass.

Crying for joy

By Mary Dawn W., Maryland, Verified Reviewer

I am feeding my dog half dry kibble and half Nature's Blend. He becomes so excited when I start to prepare his meals. He has an assigned "sitting place" where he sits while his meal is prepared. Now he runs and sits there without being told and proceeds to whimper and cry in expectation.

I was scared to try

By Loriel R., Florida, Verified Reviewer

I was scared to try this food, my Bullpei is allergic to everything and my Chuchaua hates dog food, but I took a chance, and the minute I put the food into the hot water both dogs were at full attention. I MIX it with the big dog's food (American Journey) and he cannot seem to get enough. The Chuchaua eats it plain, I got a pup and he seems to cry for it. It is pricey, don't know how I am going to afford this. But I must.

Loves the food

By Richard B., Chester, VA, Verified Reviewer

Samson is our 12-year-old blind pitbull that was raised on Pedigree dog food. Not sure how he would like the change to a different food I ordered only 3 bags to start with. He absolutely loved it, to the point that when I ran out and my reorder didn’t arrive for 3 days afterward, he refused to eat his old food and went the 3 days without eating.

My dogs love the food

By Linda T., Jefferson City, MO, Verified Reviewer

I fed my chihuahua rat terrier mix who has a heart problem the food and she is coughing much less and breathing easier. She's more active and energetic. My papillon mix dog really likes the food also. I'm disabled and on a limited income so the cost is really expensive to me. I am thrilled that my chirat is doing much better.

Snuggles, 12 years old, acting like a puppy again

By Billie S., Washington, Verified Reviewer

Snuggles, my Lhasa/Maltese 12 year old "puppy" was so lethargic that all she did every day was get up, go outside to potty, then come back in and head for one of her beds to go back to sleep. She chewed herself raw all over and where she couldn't chew, she scratched. She chewed all the fur off all four legs.

Her sides were so raw from scratching that I finally put baby "onsies" on her to protect her raw skin from getting infected. She had yeast infection and stunk to high heaven. She went to the Vet often, which was very expensive.

We thought we were going to have to "put her down" because she was so miserable. Then I saw the information on line for Dr. Marty's Nature's Blend dog food and its promise of restoring dogs to better health.

Even though it seemed fairly expensive, I thought I need to try this for Snuggles. Maybe it will really work and I can get my sweet, fun doggie back.

From the first time Snuggles ate her Nature's Blend dog food, she loved it and gobbled it down. She slowly began to improve, no longer slept all day, wanted to play with her little 4 year old sister, Snowie, again. She quit scratching herself and chewing on herself. Her fur has grown back and her legs and side are no longer raw.

She comes and bugs me around 5:00 pm, gently scratching me to say its her dinner time. She wants her food. She has dry food with sweet potatos and salmon and a good portion of Nature's Blend on top. Boy, does she ever love it.

I can not believe the difference in Snuggles after about 2 months on Nature's Blend. She is almost like a new dog again. I am no longer even thinking about the day she will need to go to Doggie Heaven. She is and always has been a reall sweetheart.

Thanks Dr. Marty for your many years of research and the excellent dog food you came up with. Snuggles thanks you too. I'd love to send you a picture of her, but don't know how to attach it to this memo.

P.S. I'm 81 years old and love the companionship Snuggles provides me.

Slow but steady

By Eileen M., Florida, Verified Reviewer

I originally purchased the Dr. Marty food as a "topper" to use on our dogs' food. I was just going to use it as a booster to enrich their feedings. However, the dogs really loved it and the reaction was slow but steadily positive. Now, our 11-year-old dog dances, spins, and jumps in the air (!) when I rattle the bag of food. She cannot wait to dive into the bowl of food. Her energy level and anxiety have slowly, but steadily improved. THANK YOU!
