Where are all the farmers?

By CBT , NJ

Most of the men on here are NOT farmers. Claim to have been from farm backgrounds . Some, even many willing to relocate, as in mooch off women. A lot of 65 year olds looking for 18-30 year olds. Be very careful.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Met the love of my life

By Nikki ,

FarmersOnly operates like most dating sites, however, it is much smaller and more personal. Three days after signing up, I met my fiancé. I couldn't be happier. There are great people on the site. You just have to look.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Dangerous at best

By Heather Amadeo, San Diego, CA, Verified Reviewer

My experience with FarmersOnly was a nightmare. I met a guy on there, who initially seemed to be the man of my dreams. All women should do when meeting someone in the internet, I searched his name and other details and it turned out he was a registered sex offender due to attempted rape. Wonderful. I contacted FarmersOnly.com and let them know of the situation. I let them know I had the documentation and all the proof they needed. I got an email back three days later basically telling me that because he paid his $21.95, they won't be investigating/canceling, suspending his account. It doesn't matter what his background is. So, he has access to thousands of women every second of the day all because he paid $21.95. I canceled my subscription immediately. Sad state of affairs. I know everyone has a past but when it's documented and something such as this. I would think it would be addressed.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

As exciting as watching barn paint dry.

By Chase , Falcon, CO

The monthly membership is now $27.99 monthly.

Was a member on and off during a two year span. Customer Service is extremely rude and most times totally ignore emailed questions to the site even after you have paid for membership.

Once you let your membership expire then you have constant reminders that "someone viewed your profile" or "someone has sent you an email". You are reminded over and over, more than once or twice a day. If you inquire as to whether a particular individual has emailed more than once or if the site is simply telling you about the same one email, you are ignored. So their game is to make you feel many people have viewed your profile, sent emails and are interested.

Never even came close to meeting anyone. Most of the men on Farmers Only post no photo and many have no profile other than "I'm a man looking for a woman between 18 and 60." Those who have a short profile have wish lists a mile long filled with statements like "must have, must be, must like" and the majority of men on the site demand that a woman be of a specific religious persuasion. Few if any men are interested in anything other than a woman to cook, clean, fish and hunt. Most men in the 60 to 70 range are looking for for an empty headed "chick to boss around".

Match has a larger membership at a lower cost when you call Match and ask for the 25% discount (even for a 1 month subscription). And on that site members are required to have at least a short narrative where apparently the male members have a broader scope of interests other than killing animals and gutting fish.

A real rip off considering the hundreds plus who have neither a photo nor a narrative. I believe many of the Farmers Only users are weird and just like looking at women's pictures. I responded to men who contacted me and just never heard back, even though I had posted recent photos of myself and wrote an articulate and comprehensive profile.

Would not recommend the site to anyone. Save your money and don't waste your time. Truly a site for the simple minded lacking in interpersonal communication skills.

As for their tag line "City Folks just don't get it" Well, what don't city folks get? Being rude, crude, belligerent, small minded, intolerant and lacking in social skills and manners?

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Don't join, don't make a profile, not worth it.

By Jamie , Oklahoma

So I had been a standard member for months till I finally was like maybe I'll give it a shot, huge mistake.

Before I go into what happened don't actually join the site unless your Looking for or wanting 99.9% perverted, demanding, rude people. I've never seen so many disgusting messages.

So I decided to join just to see what it was truly all about. Well my inbox was full of perverted messages. I did reply to a couple that did seem ok. Well one guy came off nice so I decided to give him my number and he wanted a photo so I sent him one and he demanded more like a creepy person.

The day after I had join, I wanted to cancel my membership and I also deleted my account. So I contacted FarmersOnly to get a refund & have been trying to get a refund since. They are money hungry hateful people just like most of the members on their site. They say they won't put up with disgusting people sending gross messages or being perverts but they wont give a refund to a person if that's the reason they don't want to be a part of the site. On top of it all, harassing rude phone calls from the employee handling my case telling me I'm not getting a refund. Due to their "policy" which they don't follow unless it's about money.

I wouldn't recommend this site to anyone!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I really did find my wonderful partner on this site

By Karrie , Colorado/Nebraska

It's too bad to read about some of the negative experiences others have had on this site.

I was able to find an extraordinary man who I am sharing my life with. We were both looking for someone with specific criteria, and were able to find each other because we were detailed and honest in our profile descriptions about who we were and what we were looking for.

Over a year later, we are building an off-grid house together on his farm, and sharing our passions and dreams. It so happens that we both farm. I'm a writer and an artist, and he is an inventor, but it was our backgrounds in agriculture and the outdoors that brought us both to FarmersOnly.

So don't give up. Be genuine and you will find genuine people.

Scam For Sure

By Cheryl ,

Several things have raised my eyebrow to question the legitimacy of this site, very subtle things, but still questionable.

First, I find it very strange that the number of members online they show on their site is 3-4 times more than other bigger dating websites, like Match.com. I think they just make up a number, or this could possibly be the count for all their members, not just the ones online.

Several months ago there was a problem with their sorting. When I chose to sort by distance so I could just see the members in my area first, there were members from other states and all over the country showing up first. When I asked support about this, they said "it will work itself out", and eventually in 2-3 weeks it did. But that tells me they have Mickey Mouse programmers who don't know how to administer a database.

I saw one members profile who said he was getting off the site because he was getting email responses from members who said he had contacted them, when in fact he never did. He said there were several of them.

At one time I was a paid member, but am not now. My membership expired a couple weeks ago. Within the last few days my profile shows that there has been 30-40 more profile visitors per day than I have ever had. Now don't tell me that was not instigated FO, or not even real at all. Just a baiting tactic by the website to get me to rejoin.

And last but not least, do not go on an international vacation and expect to have access to the website. They block all foreign ISPs. I guess they assume if your on their website then you don't have the money, class, culture or desire to travel out of the US.

All these things added up together smells scam.

Met my match.

By Connie , Burnsville, MN

Thought I'd try one more time on a dating site to see if FarmersOnly.com was different from the other sites. It is. It's simple to use and easy to manage. Any questions I had were quickly responded to by customer support. I met someone who is not only a skilled farmer, but a down-to-earth, God-loving, caring, gentle man. We have so much in common that I have to pinch myself sometimes. Thank you FarmersOnly.com.

Thiefs

By Penny Rogers, Verified Reviewer

I canceled my subscription 3 days prior to it ending, because most the men on this site didn't interest me. They automatically took out a renewal fee. I had gotten a hold of "Jack" and he emailed me saying that I should of canceled before the renewal date and that he is sending my request to a "board" to review it to see if I can get my refund, because there is no refund once the membership is renewed. I told him that I didn't renew, but I have heard nothing back. Isn't there any legal action that can be brought against this web site for fraud?

Be careful who you meet on the site.

By Kay Beshears , Middle, TN

I met two men that played the role of a "good" person. One was a felon named James Micheal Blevins who was a pro con man and I ended up losing a large amount of money to him and he was physically abusive and the other told me he was going to marry me and I found out he was a "womanizer". Stay away from this site.

No good

By Valerie Martin , Westport, MA

Do not give this site your money. Then they require more money as you attempt to communicate with other members. I think it's deceptive in my opinion and doesn't even deserve a one star rating.
