Sticks

By Eddie, Manchester, NH, Verified Reviewer

I tried to fry some eggs, but they ended up scrambled by the time they were done. And they do not slide around like in the commercial.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Works for me!

By Catherine Bell, Vancouver, BC, Canada, Verified Reviewer

I've read a number of reviews on these frying pans, ranging from 'the best' to 'the worst'! It is almost as if their manufacturer is producing inconsistent quality - with every other pan! All I can say is apparently I lucked out and got one of the good ones. I love this pan and use it every chance I get. That said, it is very lightweight, which my arthritic hands love, but makes me worry that it might not last long.

My son used it the other day, and he too fell in love with it and made me order one for him.

Hopefully he will get one of the good ones too!

Doesn't work

By Richard Lee, Largo, MD, Verified Reviewer

I received my pans (large and small) this week. Eggs stuck to the pans, and same with veggies.

Did not live up to Sales Pitch

By Linda K Elson, Wichita, Kansas, Verified Reviewer

The eggs stick in the pan. I have kept the heat to medium or lower and ham does not brown. I was promised "Free Shipping". I ordered two pans in order to make the bill high enough. Free Shipping did not happen. I was told that lids would come with the pans. This turned out to be NOT TRUE.

This company is a JOKE!

By Shoshana , Washington, Verified Reviewer

Do not buy from Gotham Steel! They will give your credit card information to other companies and charge your card without your permission. They call and pretend they are checking on your satisfaction and request your card info to "verify" that your info is correct and then tell you that more than one other company will be billing your card in 15 days if you don't call these other companies and cancel some useless subscription that they set up without your consent. DO NOT give them your card info. I think this is a scam.

Delivery Time

By Ernest Eggers, Yulee, FL, Verified Reviewer

I ordered the pan on February 1, but it's been two weeks and I still had not received it. I called their phone number, and was told that there was a back order, and that they may have them in two or three weeks. Why are they still advertising on TV, when they are out of stock? They said that my credit card would not be charged, until it was shipped.

Order through Amazon

By Jenn, Kinsman, Ohio, Verified Reviewer

I ordered the Gotham Steel Pans through Amazon, and because I have Amazon Prime, I got it in two days. I bought the 12.5 inch for $49.95, with free shipping. I made fajitas with no oil, and they came out wonderfully and didn't stick at all! I've only used once so far, but I really thought it was fantastic.

Absolute junk

By William Sculy, Belleville, IL, Verified Reviewer

I thought I was ordering a quality pan, but boy was I mistaken, or maybe "taken" is a better word. I tried cooking eggs several different ways, and they stuck to this pan, worse than any other pan I've used. I didn't even bother trying to return it, and just tossed it in the trash.

Ripped off

By Mark, Cedartown, Georgia, Verified Reviewer

I ordered a few of these pans, at one time, and was supposed to get them mid January, but they did not show up until February. Part of the promotional deal was a 9.5 inch glass lid, which they canceled on me, without reason. Speaking to customer service was like talking to some high school kid, that had been give a five minute introduction, and let loose. Save yourself some frustration, and do not order from them. The pan I got has worked well so far, but you can find these types of pans elsewhere, and they won't end up costing more than $40 for one 9.5 inch pan.

Stick, stuck, suck

By Norm M, St. Louis, MO, Verified Reviewer

So, as a joke, I bought this pan after seeing it advertised REPEATEDLY on the weather channel. I figured, it's just $20.00, I'll give it a shot.

It took almost a month to get my pan (I actually forgot that I ordered the darn thing lol). I got the pan, took off the wrapping, cleaned it, and prepared to impress myself. I re-created their S'more Dip, just like in the commercial. I pre-heated the oven to 450 degrees, then took one cup of chocolate chips and threw them into the pan. Then I took about half a cup of sweetened condensed milk, threw on top of the chocolate chips, covered it with marshmallows, and then placed it into the oven. As soon at the tops of the marshmallows were golden, I took it out.

Did it slide right out, like in the commercial? NOPE. I let it cool and set up a bit as well, and NOPE, same result. It finally OOZED out, leaving a sticky mess behind in the pan. Oh wait, I thought, I can just grab a paper towel and wipe it clean, but NOPE, the paper towel stuck to the gelatinous residue, and made it worse. Hot water and soap got it clean in a jiffy.

And about the 90 day return policy, which it says is the case on their website? Well, when you click on "Returns", it suddenly says 30 days. Plus, you have to pay shipping and handling fees. I've paid shipping and handling to get it to me, why do I have to pay to ship it back to them again? And the shipping and handling is way more than what it cost for them to send it to me!

Now, about that Red Copper pan I saw just advertised? It looks just like this pan!
