I received this pan as a gift. Followed the directions with pan. I only use wooden utensils, never cooking sprays, and always wash with soapy water and dishrag when needed. After several months of everyday use at home, I noticed some specks the size of pepper flakes, I thought something was stuck. It wasn't, it was flakes of coating coming off the pan. I called the company, a polite young man answers. First question: did you buy it from a store or our website? 2nd: last four digits of the card used to pay for the pan(s) purchased. Because I received the pan as a gift I didn't know that. I even offered to send the pan to Gotham at my expense for a determination. They said again if I didn't have that info they couldn't help me.
I have since tossed it and gone back to my 100+ year old iron skillets and decided not to pursue this any further. I would think very hard about spending money on anything as seen on TV. The person that gave me this pan also bought 4 more for gifts and the others are having problems as well.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
