Not non-stick cookware! Don't buy, not worth it.

By Kitty, Akron, Ohio, Verified Reviewer

Everything stick when you fry an egg. It was good the first week or two only, and then it has scratched a lot itself. I never cooked with something with bone.

Don't trust their commercial; it's not true.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Copper Crisper

By Ellen Grossman, Delray Beach, FL, Verified Reviewer

I have been using my Copper Crisper now for a couple of months. The food stuck slightly until I used it last night. Everything stuck to the cookie sheet. I soaked it overnight and still cannot get the food off the sheet. I am very disappointed as I will not be able to use it again.

Not as advertised - NOT non-stick cookware!

By Jim Toussaint, Tennessee, Verified Reviewer

This product is advertised as NON-STICK. It is not.

We followed the cooking and acre direction exactly. You cannot fry eggs, pancakes or anything else without it sticking to the pan. This claim is 100% false. We bought this product to replace a Teflon frying pan. It does not work.

You have 60 days from delivery date to send it back (at 100% your cost) otherwise, it is all yours, and you cannot get a refund. We sent all of ours back at our cost. You must get a return authorization number to send it back, and they make this hard to do. I would not recommend this product to anyone, and I would not buy it - it is not as advertised.

Don't buy!

By Harry Piels, Bethlehem, PA, Verified Reviewer

The Copper Chef products do not work as advertised. It's a shame Americans are subjected to many companies like this that just fail to deliver the performance advertised. I'm surprised the company hasn't been hauled into court over this. I've seen comments that these pans are just painted aluminum, not copper. One ad shows the cook gleefully rolling eggs out of a pan and on to a plate. Ha!

I got one that after a week's use is stained, and I'm wondering what to do since these are not copper. I'm thinking the garbage will be the solution. Just think of all those pans being thrown out. They'll be around for a thousand years. So they are an environmental problem as well as a waste of your money. Sad!

Eric is a liar

By Pete Stark, Port Barre, LA, Verified Reviewer

The ad shows using metal utensils with this product ( mixers, spoons, etc.). Don't do that because it'll scratch. In other words, the guy advertising these pans on TV is a liar. I'm one of those that has to put "claims" to the test. The pan flunked the test. I wish people could sue for false advertising like you could back in the early part of the 20th century. Eric, you're a liar!

I love my Copper Chef Pans

By Janet Henderson, Boise, Idaho, Verified Reviewer

I purchased the full set of Copper Chef Pans, and I am very pleased. I have used them for all of my cooking for six months, and they are still like new.

I didn't expect them to be indestructible because of the price. Really good pans are usually a lot more money. But I have been very pleased. I read everything I could about them before using for the first time. I found out that they need to be seasoned, which I did. I also found out that you can't turn the stove on high and heat them. You need to take a little time and heat to the higher heat in increments.

My pans still look new, and nothing sticks to them. I highly recommend them, but remember that everything needs extra care. Do your research before using them.

The worst pan I ever had

By Richard Klass, Coram, New York, Verified Reviewer

The first week when I bought it, it was great. Now after using it after the third week, I need Brillo to clean it, which I have not used as of yet. I notified the company and got "so sorry you can't receive your money back, but here, buy another one at 10% off." I would love to take it off the market and stop screwing people.

Copper Chef

By Andrew, Dallas, TX, Verified Reviewer

I bought the Copper Chef Pan from Bed Bath & Beyond a couple of weeks ago. At first it was great, but after a few uses, the surface changed color and food start sticking to it. Mind you, I never put it in the dishwasher and never put it in the sink while hot, and I use a soft sponge and soft detergent to wash it. The reason I treated it so well is that I had a ceramic pan that I had to throw in the garbage after a month, so I thought maybe how I washed it was causing the trouble, but it turns out that it's BS.

I then bought a stainless steel Cuisinart set of 16 pieces for a hearty price, but it's FANTASTIC even if it's not nonstick, nothing really sticks and it is easy to clean, and it's shiny.

Don't waste money on any of the BS they sell on TV. Instead, give the money to a charity like St Jude, and God will bless you forever.

Junk

By Peter Hoppe, Mims, FL, Verified Reviewer

As with others, it worked well for about two months then the sticking began. Copper Chef's website will not allow bad reviews.

I wrote to Copper Chef and they took about 15 days to respond saying:

Dear Peter,

Have you tried to pre-heat the Copper Chef pan for at least 3-5 minutes using low to medium heat settings? The Cerami-Tech coating distributes heat more effectively and evenly. This causes some protein-rich foods to cook more quickly. The Cerami-Tech coating does not require the use of butter or cooking oil. If you choose to use oil or butter, we recommend oil or butter with a high smoke point: refined olive oil, peanut oil, corn oil and (clarified) butter. Our recommendation is to season your Copper Chef pans before the first use and each time you wash the cookware in a dishwasher. Here are the instructions below on how to season the Copper Chef pan.

1. Heat clean, dry pan on low heat for 30 seconds.

2. Remove from heat and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.

3. Using a paper towel, rub the oil all over the entire interior surface of the pan.

4. Repeat each time you wash the cookware in a dishwasher.

What a rip off!

By Glenn Davis, Bainbridge, PA, Verified Reviewer

We are like most others; not happy. There should be a lawsuit, and we all get our money back. They are junk. It was only nonstick for a short time, and then it went to hell. Everything sticks.

Junk.

By Buddy Lander, California, Verified Reviewer

I used the regular Copper Chef pan for three months, and it was good, but then a grilled cheese sandwich got stuck, it cannot be cleaned.

This is junk. Too expensive to return, not worth buying. I was going to purchase the complete set. I'm glad I did not.
