Disappointed purchase

By Dianne, Dookie , Verified Reviewer

I bought the Copper Chef XL from QVC. Did not open up the box until six months after. I washed the pan with Dawn. Put water in the pot to boil. Emptied the pot wash again. I then boiled two packages of pasta. When I emptied the pasta, metal on the bottom was showing. I was so mad. It has been two months. The copper is coming off on the top edge of the pot. The bottom is losing the coating. This pot is a huge disappointment. There is wear and tear. Waste of money. I wished I had seen the review before I purchased this pot.

Bad pans

By Suzanne Weeks, Cookeville, TN, Verified Reviewer

I purchased both the 12" pan and the large square pan. I've been so careful with them (not having used the square pan yet) as I'd wanted a nonstick pan that would last. I used the 12" pan a couple of times for eggs. Worked great.

Yesterday, I lightly browned sausage for a quiche. I used med/low heat so as not to over brown. After removing the sausage, I took out the trusty paper towel and the pan would not wipe clean. I waited for it to cool and put warm water in it to sit. Well, the stains will NOT come out. The pan is ruined. What a bogus pan this is. As near as I can tell, that pan amounted to about $10.00 of use. Expensive.

I will throw it away this morning, but I'm passing the word. Today, I read the reviews of this product. Darn. Wish I'd read them prior to the purchase. I'll stand next to the stack of these pans for sale at Sam's Club and tell everyone who looks interested in buying a set. Shame on you! You need MINUS stars in your rating.

Very unhappy

By Donna Hunt, Texas, Verified Reviewer

I purchased three of the XL pan sets from QVC in December for myself and my children. The first couple useses we all raved about the pan. Now we don't even use it. They all stick. I can't cook even a grilled cheese or fried potatoes. I would NOT buy another Copper Chef product and wish I had checked them out first.

Very disappointed

By Linda, Minnesota, Verified Reviewer

I didn't have it a week, and it scratched. I didn't even use a metal utensil in it, and everything sticks. I wouldn't recommend it; it isn't worth the money I paid. I know of at least three other people who have bought them and have found they stick also and they are not satisfied with it either. I bought mine from Walmart. I am very dissatisfied, and the bottom is hard to keep clean.

Satisfied

By Joyce Jackson, Winston Salem, NC, Verified Reviewer

I have had my pans about three months, and have no problems so far. I read the instructions and followed them precisely to season the pans. I have used the recommended oils.

My only complaint so far is that you can't use butter or extra virgin olive oil to cook with.

Bad warranty and customer service

By Richard Giers, Northern Wisconsin, Verified Reviewer

I bought the eight-piece Copper Chef Pro from Sam's Club online. The lids did not fit the pans. I called Copper Chef, and they told me I have to go back to Sam's Club for a replacement. I explained that this would be a long trip for me. Then they told me that the warranty is not covered if not bought DIRECTLY from Copper Chef. Pretty lousy warranty and customer service. I will take it back to Sam's Club, but only for a refund. I won't get a replacement.

Junk

By Pamela, Washington, Verified Reviewer

I don't get the rave reviews about any of the Copper Chef products. I bought one on sale from QVC. It was scratched and pitted right out of the box. The fry basket and steamer inserts are just cheap aluminum or something, and so is the pan. No one should pay more than $20 for this. A whopping price tag of $80 for the set is ridiculous. As much as this set cost, I was really shocked at the cheap quality and returned it to QVC the same day.

False, sticky and crappy products

By Nil Lina, Las Vegas, NV, Verified Reviewer

Don't buy this scum product. Mine is just sticky as heck.

I need my money back and a return label to send this crappy garbage so I can get my money back.

Hope they get caught lying to their customers. After my recommendation to our friends, they bought them too. Now they're blaming me!

NOT non-stick

By Greyson Wolfe, Boston, MA, Verified Reviewer

When I first used the pan it was wonderful, cleaned like dream. However, food eventually began to stick and it did not clean well. My pan, while still useful has black marks in it. Looks ugly and unclean. Even though it's clean. I continue to use it but food does stick.

Very disappointed

By John Hyde, San Antonio, Texas, Verified Reviewer

Very expensive pan and after third use, it was obvious that this was not a good non-stick surface. In the future, I would obviously stick with a traditional nonstick pan. I found it to be a complete waste of money!

Copper Chef does it do as it says?

By JoAnne Lopez, Omaha, NE, Verified Reviewer

I've been wanting to try these pans since I saw the first info commercial on them. I was visiting relatives out of state and went shopping at one of their outdoor outlet malls when I came across them. I couldn't turn down the opportunity to purchase what I did to try them out. I took home an 8 and a 9 and a 1/2 inch set of square pans.

I was extremely satisfied to learn they do perform as it is claimed. Always make sure to wash and completely dry them thou. I leave mine in my oven and I have used absolutely NO oil at all so far in them.

If you're wondering if these pans are worth the money, my opinion is "ABSOLUTELY!"

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
