I thought I'd find a more down to earth group of people compared to the other well-known dating sites. Nope; same people playing the same head games.

As far as the site itself goes, having to weed through literally hundreds, if not thousands, of standard members to find people you can actually talk to, is very annoying. There's no filter to look at premium members only. I also noticed that the majority of standard members last accessed the site "over two months ago," which could mean they haven't been on the site since it began operation. In other words, they don't remove inactive people, presumably to make the site look like you've got half a country of potential matches.

I'm glad I didn't go for the six-month option. Three was bad enough, but at least it didn't hit the wallet as bad.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

They charged my credit card for $90. What a rip off. They only show lonely women outside of your requested area. They claim they have women within 25-50 of your zip code. No way; you only receive profiles 500 thousands of miles away. Beware, they are vultures seeking lonely victims for financial gain. I hope they try to prey on a lawyer or judge. They will stop them in their tracks.

Stay away from FarmersOnly. There is no refund at all.

I signed up for FarmersOnly.com hoping to find my cowboy in faded wranglers! After several emails back and forth we finally decided to meet.

As he sauntered up to me with his great smile, I knew I was in for it with this one. After a year of the most adventurous dates and lots of laughs, I married my cowboy!

Me, the mother of the bride (yes, the bride) put my daughter on FarmersOnly without telling her. Within a day she had multiple pages of messages. I called and confessed. She came over and took over. Changing the password she went home and started communicating with a gentleman her age that farmers in California. They hit it off immediately, talked and FaceTimed and have been together ever since.

They are engaged with him carving "I love you, will you marry me" in his rice fields. He took her up in a gliding plane and proposed with a gorgeous ring (from Danz in Lodi). Of course, she said YES!

I signed up (FREE), and it was quick and easy. Now here comes the fun part. To try it for 30 days is almost $30. Three months was like $60.

At any given time there are around 10,000 members online. That is all across the US and Canada. Unless you sign out, you continuously show online. In my case, there were something like three paid members within 60 miles. BOTH members have to be PAID members to contact each other!

There is no matching system other than age, distance and body type. Did I mention you can't even read a message from a paid member unless you shell out money?

The price is too high. I mentioned the high price in my "about me" profile. Management deleted everything and gave me a stern warning about posting inappropriate content. All because I mentioned their high prices.

You might get lucky but definitely do due diligence on FarmersOnly. Make sure there are enough paid members in your area within your reasonable distance BEFORE paying. If not, you won't be able to contact them no matter how much you pay! If they are a paid member, it shows on their profile. If not, you are out of luck!

I will be removing my profile from FarmersOnly so they can't claim me as a user in their count of users. I consider them to be dishonest and a ripoff.

Oh, and one other thing. As I understand the fine print, once you pay, it is automatically renewed until you call and cancel. You must call and cancel before renewal or you are stuck with it till the next renewal. Once renewed there is no refund.

The site is a great idea, but I think the price is a little too high. I joined and paid so I could chat. Currently (January 2018) there is a very low percentage of paid members. You can only chat or see messages if BOTH people are paid. So many profiles say "last time online more than 2 months ago."

I was on the site in 2015. I met a gentleman in February of that year. We are now getting married in September of 2018. Thank you for your help! Without FarmersOnly we would have never met! I love this site.

Okay, so basically you have to pay for EVERYTHING on this website? Like, I think it's a rip off for people who just want to experiment with it. "Sign up for free." Yes, you sign up for free, but then you have to pay for everything after that. If I could give it no stars, I would.

You go through the entire process of signing up, and once you’re a “member” you can’t even do anything to be able to communicate with someone you may be interested in! You have to pay. I can’t even open the emails people sent to me! So stupid!

On March 5th, 2017, I hesitantly purchased a one-month membership on FarmersOnly. An hour or so later I made the first hello to my future husband who had also just purchased a membership at the behest of his cousin. We exchanged texts via FarmersOnly for some time and decided to make a date for the next night. It was perfect! We had so much in common, both left-handed, which is a rarity.

We saw each other every night for the next several weeks. He would drive 45 minutes one way just to see me for an hour or two after we both had worked a long day. We texted non-stop and knew very soon we had something special. He proposed officially on Easter Sunday and we married September 30th. We have already been through much as a couple and he us the best thing that has ever come into my life.

My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer at the end of June and died two weeks before we married. He was there with me, never left my side. He knew what I was going through for his brother died of cancer not 10 years before. We bought a house, moved, carried each other through cancer, buried a family member and got married. He is my rock, my true love, my soul mate and best friend.

In 2015, I joined FarmersOnly on October 21st, my fiance joined October 26th, and we met October 30th. We became exclusive immediately. He is from Canada, and I am an American. I am currently in the process of relocating to Canada as we are going to be married. I can't say enough how grateful I am that a friend of mine introduced me to FarmersOnly as that is where she met her husband as well (they now have two little ones).

I highly recommend FarmersOnly to anyone looking for their forever person. I couldn't be happier; we truly are a match made in heaven.
