The pros: As a seller, your item is considered SOLD if the buyer does not initiate a return within a four-day window. The site is easy to use, and Tradesy cleans up your pics and makes them look professional. Getting your funds is a protracted process but worth it since they make up for it with a four-day return policy (they also handle your returns).

The cons: As a buyer, you are paying a 20% commission, plus exorbitant shipping if your seller elects to have Tradesy handle shipping. I sell luxury goods on Tradesy and discount every item I sell by 10% on a competitor's site. I handle my own shipping on both sites in order to pass the savings on to my customers. Another issue with Tradesy is that for some bizarre reason all merchandise is advertised on Google as used even when it is new with tags.

As a buyer, I would NOT use Tradesy due to the markups (a buyer can get the exact same item for 10% less on another well-known site, like eBay). Plus, the return window is usually much more generous on other sites.

Conclusion: Good for sellers, not so good for buyers.

Overall I was disappointed that when I had a return they only provided me with store credit, not rebating my PayPal account. Also, they lost an item in the mail (USPS said undeliverable and sent it back) on another order, and it took a couple of months to get straightened out and even get credit although the USPS noted the item was returned to them and they merely needed to ship it back to me.

I tried to cancel my order immediately after I placed it, which I know was my mistake in the first place, and I would have understood if they said no, but they continued ignoring my messages while shipping the product out. I found it to be quite rude because they obviously saw the several messages I sent.

It took almost three weeks to get the blouse I ordered. After a week of not hearing anything, I called Tradesy who intervened and found that the seller had been out of town. A shipping label was created that day and then another week passed only to find out that the blouse still had not shipped. I had to call Tradesy again who said they would call the seller and let me know what was up. That Tradesy agent never called me back, but the seller mailed the package that day and at least I was able to track it. It took about another week and I finally got the blouse on day 20 after ordering.

All in all a kind of frustrating experience with really poor communication from the seller. I understand the first part where she was supposedly out of town, but the second week after the package still wasn't mailed, she didn't answer my emails at all and I was forced to call Tradesy for help. I don't think I'd buy from her again, although she has some nice things and the blouse was nice once I finally got it.

Not enough communication between the seller and Tradesy, the customer and Tradesy, and the seller and customer. I placed my order from the seller almost 2 weeks ago and just now received the item. The seller had limited information as far as tracking numbers and dates as to when I should expect to receive the item. Paying for luxury items (despite second-hand), you would expect to have more communication and updates regarding tracking the delivery status of the order and item.

If you're shopping from Canada, you risk wasting your money.

Not only did the dress I buy arrive at my place not as it was advertised by the seller, they also both had a stain on it and was not the size she said it was (she advertised it as a size 12, it came with size 9/10 on its tags). On top of that, sales to Canada are final and have no exchanges, returns, or refunds. So I wasted my money on a dress I can't wear.

If I can save the population of Canada from wasting their time and effort and cash, the moment writing this review is worth it.

I purchased this Alexander Wang handbag assuming the statement "This item may have been worn but has no visible signs of wear" was a true statement, but it is not. It looks nothing like the "stock" photo whatsoever!

The hardware on the bottom corners is scratched, the bag sags! The bottom of the bag has a few dents on it. And the clasp inside the flap is discolored. Plus, the black flap has discoloration on the top right corner, plus a light scratch on the bottom near the middle.

I was so excited for this Gucci Belt Cross-Body. The bag material seems cheap, the logo "leather" patch on the front is barely GUCCI legible. The strap and the buckle seem high quality but overall I'm so disappointed.

The sellers should be reviewed like eBay! Also, like eBay, Tradesy should give you an expected timeframe for delivery. Their sellers are the worst! Not all, but most of them are horrible. Most do not communicate. It takes them forever to ship your product. I made a purchase of close to $2k (a pair of Louboutins I bought 9 days ago) and it’s still not delivered, and the seller just ignored my email. For a person who spends a lot with Tradesy, you would think they value their customers.

I think I’m done after this order. I’m so done! It took them about 4 days to ship after it was paid. I always think twice, no, three times when I order from them. It’s like a hit or miss. If able, go to Fashionphile. I know I did with my last purchase and they were cheaper for the same product and description.

The shoes I purchased were misrepresented and turned out to be damaged to the point where I couldn't wear them. When I'd slip my foot into the boot, the very hard pointy fabric had ripped off on the heel and would catch on my foot. There was no way to unhook the fabric from under my foot because the boots were so tight, they weren't the right size either.

I filed a return claim and printed the shipping label. Only to find out because the shipper had shipped USPS, FedEx wouldn't take the package. Even though it was a FedEx shipping label. I would suggest Tradesy coordinates with their sellers to ship with the same company they provide return shipping labels through. It was such a headache to try to return this damaged pair of shoes.

I am a first-time Tradesy customer and this may be my last after I use the credits from the return.

I haven't even been on Tradesey for a week when I tried logging in today and it said account suspended. And I have absolutely no idea why and it just states to contact customer service. But I have about eight major designers listed and I know none of them have sold and the majority of them are new with tags, absolutely no way they are knock off's. But I believe I have purchased one or two items and I want to know what's going to happen with those because they have indeed received the money for them. The really nasty thing is that they have absolutely no information about account suspension and what to do if your account is suspended.

And also I think it is just really low class that they don't even give you a warning about why an account is about to be suspended. And I have absolutely no idea what I did wrong. The only thing I can think of is that many women are trying to sell Lilly for Target as the authentic Lilly Pulitzer and I sent them messages that was not right and that they needed to list somewhere in the description that is was actually Lilly for Target. I also sent Tradesey a message that something needed to be done about that. But, overall this is very disappointing because I thought this was a high class site where things worked well but sadly I am finding that it is not. Now I have to call them in the morning and find out what exactly is going on and what about those things I purchased? I think E-bay does a better job but way too many politics in that arena.

Tradesy = Sellers Beware. Similar to other's I sold an authentic Tory Burch hat on this site. The Buyer received the hat and decided to return it because of "imperfections" in the hat. I should note that this was a brand new hat with tags. I had to contact Tradesy (after being without my merchandise for TWO weeks) to find out the status of the item and/or when I could expect to receive the proceeds from my sale. This is when I was informed that the hat was returned and I had to wait another 5-7 days before I could get either my merchandise or credit for the item. The item was returned to me yesterday and my brand new hat was received back with dirt stains, imperfections, and it looked like someone worn the hat (some of the dirt could have been attributed to all of the handling of the hat). When I emailed to complain, first the customer service rep sent me an email about the wrong item. And then when I complained about the condition of the hate, I was told I could put it back on the site to re-sell or send it back to Tradesy for a full credit of the asking price. This would mean that I would have to ship the item out (presumably on my dime!). Unbelievable customer service. If you are going to sell on this site, take lots of pictures, because it's you word against the buyer. Or better yet avoid this site all together a sell on Posh Mark instead. I have sold numerous high-end items on PM and have never-ever experience this kind of treatment. Lesson learned. I'm closing down my site today and moving my items back to PM. This is not a reputable site.

I bought 2 LV wallets. Waited 2 weeks, no email, no tracking, no response from seller. I got an email asking me if I want to keep or cancel the order. I told them I want to cancel. They said they will do that within 48 hours. Never did. 2 weeks later the wallets came. Not surprise, they a replica. I sent them back and they refused to refund the money as they stated on the website. Beware of this company.

I stopped selling on Tradesy over two years ago, because I'm a reputable business women. They had the nerve to lie and say the bags I sold where not authentic, and if the customer returned an item I was supposed to cover the cost? No way. This company is a sham, stay away. Once you give them your PayPal account, they can take your money at any time. Who in the Name of God returns an item three years after it was sold? Nobody. And I don't believe them when they tell me that a customer returned something, that's their way of ripping me off. And they take the money without your consent. By the way, I own three retail stores and would never treat a customer like that! Stay away from this company.
