I got married and added my husband to my credit card. We use this credit card exclusively for our purchases and bills so I asked for a credit increase in order to keep our credit utilization low. We both work really hard at keeping our credit scores up. My credit score on the Citibank website is 820. Woo hoo! They will not give me a credit increase because they say Equifax is reporting a bankruptcy or collection on my account. I sent Citibank all three of my credit reports, which do not show any collections or bankruptcies. They still deny me credit based on information they say is coming from Equifax. I call Equifax and they say there is nothing on my credit report. I have implored Citibank to run a credit report but the Costco Citibank does not run credit reports. They have told me to talk to their credit dispute department, which I have. I was advised to wait a couple of months until the new data sent by Equifax would be uploaded. I have waited for several months and still denied. I have talked to countless customer services reps, and their supervisors, and have been unable to get anywhere with it. I am shopping for a new credit card!
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
