    Works with a different approach

I actually bought 2 because the first one was back ordered for over a month and I found a site that got one here in a few days or so.

I bought it because I have about 20 starter hedge row bushes that a regular trimmer head was causing me to cut some of the bushes. (I figured that I would destroy most of them by the end of the summer.) Orbitrim seemed like a potential solution.

At first I had difficulty getting it to cut much of anything as I was trying to use it like a conventional trimmer with back and forth side ways motion. Also learned that it was almost useless on tall grass etc.

Then I learned that if you get the trimmer head right on the ground and tilt the head downward toward the tips of the grass while moving back and forth it begins to work on short grass (1 to may be 4 inches or so), and it does not damage the bushes.

I learned that on the Troybilt trimmer that I have, I can quickly remove the Orbitrim head by hand only using a pair of pliers to keep the shaft from spinning. Then I have another aftermarket non bump trimmer head that is just as easy to attach and remove for the rest of the trimming. So I am at least somewhat happy using 2 different trimmer heads.

I also have an idea to improve the Orbitrim that may allow it to work much better.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
