I got sucked into this scam. I ordered a jar of Allegro for a payment of $4.95 for S&H. Immediately, it stated that I would also get Brio for $4.95 for S&H. I was not told anything about the "fine print." I did send an email within the 14-day period, asking that my account be closed and that no other product be sent. But apparently, it went to the "wrong department or was lost," and I was not able to get a full refund.
When I called about the charge on my credit card, the representative "could not hear me." It had nothing to do with the connection, but the background noise at his location. I had to yell. He was very polite to me and said he could cancel by account, and I'd only have to pay 60% of the charge. WHOOPEE!
I think the noise was part of the scam. I'm not happy with the product, which has to be used every day. The ad shows that rubbing the Allegro under the eyes magically takes away problems. "It makes a difference right away."
I could maybe understand using it every day IF it worked when applied and had to be replied daily, but it did absolutely nothing. This was certainly a scam. How much money are these companies making off these scams?
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
